Percy Jackson: The Hunter
It's a disclaimer. You know I'm not Rick Riordan. I don't own these characters. Peace.

Artemis moved swiftly through the alleys of Manhattan. The monster was a clever one. Every time she thought she had it trapped, the thing got away. As she was passing out of another dead end, her enhanced hearing picked up something out of place, even for New York.
"Stupid!" Slap.
"Useless!" Slap.
"Bitch!" Slap.
Then the sound of a woman crying out slightly. Anger surged through the huntress' veins. After a quick second, Artemis had determined exactly where the noise had come from. She entered the apartment complex, her hunt forgotten. The only thing she wanted to do was make the useless male pay for harming the woman.
Artemis approached the apartment on the second floor. She could still hear the senseless beating continue. Artemis knocked on the door and the sounds of struggle stopped.
The maiden goddess heard the man curse violently, then say to the woman, "If you care about your son Sally, you won't make a noise or leave the bedroom."
The already angry goddess had to work very hard to keep from knocking down the door and killing the man right there.
The door opened and a disgustingly fat man appeared. For some reason, Artemis mentally compared him to a walrus. The lone three hairs on his head were combed back. 'Probably thinks it makes him look good.' She thought.
He glared at her. "What do you want?"
Artemis forced herself to put on a smile, "Building maintenance, would you please step out for a minute?" Whatever she decided to do, Artemis preferred that Sally did not see it.
He scowled, "No."
Artemis pulled him into the hallway and proceeded to beat him senseless. After putting up a barrier of Mist so no one could see.
Artemis dragged the man back into the apartment and went to go check on Sally. What she saw horrified the three thousand year old maiden. The woman's entire face was black and blue, blood running from her mouth and both nostrils. Her arms had grasping marks on them. Then there were the eyes. They were scared, but defiant. That impressed Artemis, who decided in that moment to help the woman in any way possible.
Artemis knelt down next to Sally, "My brother is a doctor, I can have him here in an instant."
The woman shook her head weakly, "Don't worry about me." She coughed out, "My son. In the crib."
Artemis glanced around the room and noticed a baby, maybe one year old, asleep in a sea-green crib. She swiftly picked the baby up, careful not to wake him, and carried him over to Sally.
She clasped the baby's small hand and sighed softly. Then, she said something that surprised the goddess, "I know you are not a fan of males in general, and today did not help, but please, can you take care of Perseus for me? Please Lady Artemis."
Artemis looked between the woman and baby, and nodded softly.
Sally sighed, and closed her eyes.
Artemis picked up the baby and walked out of the apartment. As she was leaving, she noticed two pieces of mail on the table. One was to Gabe Ugliano, the other to Sally Jackson.
"Perseus Jackson." She said to herself, then smiled. It had a nice ring.

So...yeah. In case you haven't noticed, I'm kinda bad at keeping stories going, but I'm gonna try my best with this one
