'Percy!' Thalia yelled and jumped on top of me,hugging me to death. Dam- I mean damn- this girl has power. What do they do to the hunters? Pump them on some kind of steroids that only give you power and strength and not muscles? Wow,my imagination is kind of freaky. Well,it is what it is. Now back to the real world. Dam- i mean damn- my ADHD.

I hugged her back. It felt good to have the company of a friend after so long. I tilted my head and looked at my environment.

I was in a tent, lying on a green sleeping bag. The inside of the tent was green as well,and from the curves,I guessed it was silk. Thalia got up and looked at me. Tears were gathered on the edges of her eyes. I gasped shocked. Thalia hardly ever cried. Despite,her vulnerable state,she smiled faintly at me. I suppressed a smile as well. 'Artemis told me,Percy. I never thought........what happened.......'

I put a hand on her shoulder. 'It. Wasn't. Your. Fault. Remember it. It wasn't you who wanted me out'. She smiled lightly and brought her hand up and put it on mine'.

We sat there,just enjoying each others company. Suddenly my throat constricted and I choked. Thalia,noticing this,handed me water from the nightstand. I made the water rise from the bottle and shot it down my throat.

My throat opened up and I gasped,breathing in the air around me. I put my hand in the air,as a signal telling Thalia that I was fine. Thalia let go a breath of relief. I pushed myself up. And with the help of Thalia,walked outside.

I hoped,just a little that maybe Artemis wasn't here. But we don't always get what we want. And with the luck of being a demigod, we really don't get what we want.

'PERSEUS,WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU'RE GOING'. I swore. In such a way that Thalia punched me in the arm. I whirled around to find Artemis and her hunters with bows ready to shoot me down.

I put my hands in the air,exasperated. Artemis strolled over to me. 'You're coming with us,Percy. I'm sorry'. I backed up a little. But Thalia grabbed me from the back. 'Sorry Percy. Orders are orders'. I snapped.

I brought my foot down. A collosal earthquake shook the ground to the core. The top layer of Earth broke. 'THIS IS FRIENDSHIP!!!' I yelled. 'THIS IS YOUR TRUST!!'. I let the betrayal of so many years finally get to me.

I dropped to the soft and crumbling earth,my head hung low. I cried my heart out. Tears just weren't stopping. They kept coming and coming,unlocking the vault of pain. I cried loudly,not caring enough to stop.

I finally managed to stop. 'No need to take me anywhere' I sniffed. 'End it right here Artemis. Put an arrow through my heart. I just don't have the courage to live anymore.......'. My voice cracked. The hunters were staring at me but I didn't enough to snap at them. My shoulders slumped,I walked over to Artemis.

I got on my knees. I finally looked at her. I showed her the betrayal. 'Do it. Do it' I said to her. 'Kill me. I'm not a man. I let my friends slip away from me. I made them hate me. I deserve nothing but death. It is my punishment. I made them drift away from me. I don't even deserve to die standing'. I hung my head again,this time sure it would be the last time. Until I felt a hand on my shoulders.

Many hunters gasped. My head snapped up. Looking down at me was Artemis,her silver eyes shining like the moon. And she was smiling. I waited for her to say what she wanted to say. 'You know,Perseus, I'm not in this. This bringing you to Olympus and killing you. Today,I have felt what you have felt. And let me tell you one thing. You didn't make anybody do anything. It was there own decision'.

She removed her hand from my shoulder. She started walking towards the camp. I made out to reach her but pulled my hand back. I smiled,a wholehearted smile. I got up and started walking towards the woods once more. The only person still there was Thalia. She made to touch me but I jerked away from her touch. 'Don't touch me. Artemis left me alone,if she hadn't, you would have tried to kill me. I just don't trust you anymore'. I started waling again. As I reached the edge of the hunters camp,I looked back. Thalia was still standing there,looking at me,but not calling me. Artemis was a few feet away from her,still walking towards the tents. 'Thanks,Artemis!' I yelled. She put her hand in the air,waving at me.

I sighed. I had finally let my burdens hurt me. But now as I had done it all,I felt much lighter and happier. I smiled and crossed the borders. I looked back and all i I could see was trees. The hunters really knew how to keep it stealthy.

I looked around. It was the same as before. The light of the lamp,the apples littered even the dewdrops. Such a beautiful sight. I lied down and counted the stars in the sky. The constellations were perfect today. Thunder crackled,with Zeus' fury, thinking he had lost me when I was in his clutches. Then it started to rain. I swore. Seriously man. This is messed up.

I shivered. Suddenly it got cold. Then it started to snow. I looked around puzzled. Why was it snowing in the middle of summer. This could mean only one thing. Zeus was afraid of something.

I smirked. Suits him, that coward. The oil lamp lit out. A voice spoke in the darkness. 'You really can't control yourself when it comes to gods'.

I recognized that voice. I smirked. 'Nah,only when the main subject is Zeus'. The voice spoke again. 'You recognize me?'. 'Of course I do. Besides your aura is powerful. Come out,Chaos'.

A man walked into the clearance. The swirling galaxies providing light to his. I gasped. This time Chaos wasn't in armor. His tanned face and blue glowing eyes stood out. Chaos was handsome. In his black suit,he looked like a professional killer. Like the kind of guys who would kill a few people in the morning then eat waffles for breakfast.

Chaos looked about twenty. With golden silky hair that covered his eyes,his tanned face,the broad shoulders and the built structure,Chaos looked pretty cool.

'Chaos' I nodded my head in greeting. 'Yo,Percy' he said back.

'So' I fiddled nervously with a hole in my shirt 'Has the time come?'

Chaos nodded. 'But before we begin,here'. Chaos snapped his fingers and suddenly my clothes were changed. Now I was wearing a white cotton shirt and a leather jacket. White pants and green sneakers. I grinned. 'Thanks' I said to Chaos. Chaos grinned too. 'That's not all'. He snapped his fingers and suddenly there was a table of two in two in front of us with food. 'Aww' I joked 'You shouldn't have,but now that you have,it's a date'. I grinned. Chaos rolled his eyes,but he was still grinning. 'You're such a kid' he said. 'Hey,you did the head joke' I protested. 'Well at least that was funny' he retorted. 'Yeah,yeah. So funny I forgot to laugh' . Chaos glared at me. I put my hands up in surrender. His features softened and he smiled. He waved his hand at me to begin.

I turned my attention to the food and gasped. There was every kind of food I liked. To my mom's famous blue cookies to my favorite sour dish,chicken roast. I grinned at Chaos to show my gratitude.

I literally dived into the food,eating anything I could grab. Chaos backed up a bit in his chair,looking horrified. I shrugged at him. 'Haven't eaten in a few days. What did you think,my manners would be excellent?' I laughed humorlessly. Chaos smiled shakily. 'Well,tuck in'.

I finished my dinner and leaned back on the mahogany chair. I looked across the table at Chaos. 'So'. Chaos looked at me puzzled. 'So' he said,confused. I rolled my eyes. 'You really are a....... Well you are something. I just can't think of a correct word. I'm talking about my entry into the Army of Chaos'. Chaos' face cleared of all confusion. He leaned back as well.

'So you already want to enter my army. So let's get straight to it. Do you-'

I interrupted Chaos. I know it's rude but well its me we're talking about.

'Wait a minute. What'll be my rank?'

'You didn't know. You'll be Commander. It-'

But my ears had stopped working at Commander. My whole body gone stiff and numb. I fell out of my chair and on to the floor'.

Chaos hovered above me. The worry in his eyes was clear as crystal.

He grabbed my hand and practically dropped me in the chair.

I grabbed my head in pain. For a few minutes,I stayed silent,my eyes closed and my head hung low. The pain slowly subsided. I pushed my head up and opened my eyes. Chaos was hovering awkwardly next to my chair. I smiled at him. He slumped down in his chair,looking relieved.

Then my expression turned hard. Jaw clenched,I spoke to Chaos. 'Sorry,Chaos. No deal. I can't lead anymore. It would only lead to the death of people'.

Chaos glared at me. 'Perseus. You keep blaming yourself for what happened. It wasn't your fault. Besides,if you join as Commander,there's something extra in it for you'.

I suddenly felt adrenaline pumping inside of me. I leaped to my feet. 'What is it?' I asked Chaos hopefully. Chaos grinned evilly. 'Sorry. I'm not at liberty to say. Not unless,you join my army as Commander'

I sighed,defeated. 'Fine' I said grudgingly 'But it better be good'. A whoop of happiness echoed through the clearing. I looked at Chaos,who and gotten of his chair and was doing a victory lap.

I rolled my eyes at Chaos. 'Seriously' I said to him. Chaos hung his head and sat in his chair. ''Yeah.....Sorry about that. But I promise,it will be worth your time'.

I grinned at Chaos. 'So do it'. Chaos looked confused,again. I looked at him through narrowed eyes. 'Have you memory loss?' Chaos shook his head in denial. 'No,but when I get excited,I forget a few things' he explained patiently.

'Yeah,well I was talking about the entry in the army. Isn't there a pledge or something?'

Chaos leaned forward and grinned. 'Yeah sorry. Okay now,Do you,Percy Jackson, pledge to serve me and protect your army as Commander?'

'I do' I said confidently

'Do you pledge to done your duties through hardships and the impossible?' He asked again

'I do'

'And finally,do you pledge to die for the good,the better and the best'?'

'I do' I said again.

Chaos grinned. 'Then welcome, Percy Jackson, to the army of Chaos, in the rank of Commander'.

I grinned as well. Chaos waved his hands and a swirling, dark portal opened up in front of us. I looked grimly at it.

'Well, let's go find you some members for your army' Chaos said cheerfully.

But I was hardly paying any attention.

This is the end of my old life and the beginning of a new one I thought as I entered the swirling mass of nothingness............
