LAST TIME:

'A skill to completely control someone else's body, how interesting. I guess even Gaia didn't know about that, or she would have warned me. Hopefully, with this trial being over, the skill will adapt to my way of using my rage. I still can't believe I lost to it so quickly; I must be out of practice on how to control my emotions. Taiji Will should help with my shortcomings until I get back into the groove of things.' Percy thought to himself as the last part of the warrior finally dissipated, and he felt his consciousness starting to return to his body.

[User has successfully completed the trial!]

[Rewards and a Title is being generated!]

[Constitution: Primordial Emperor (Tier 7) Second passive (Emperor's Will) is altering the Title and Reward that are to be generated.]

[Altering succeeded...]

[Both reward and title will be given after the user returns to consciousness.]

[The Akashic System congratulates you on discovering a secret of the universe and will issue you a quest once the battle you are in is completed.]

"Seems like more work is coming my way even when I don't want it to. Is it too much to ask for a vacation?" Percy reluctantly sighed before his consciousness fully left his soul world, leaving only the screams of the damned to fill the air once more.

NOW:

*BOOOOM!*

An intense rumble shook the forest, not far from Percy's group freezing all who heard it. There had been sounds before, but never this close. Instantly, Trista and Jake began to issue orders to the group. Since they had already cleaned out all the zombies and wild beasts from the destroyed camp, the average level of the group had skyrocketed all the way from level 0 to 9. As a result, the whole camp moved at nearly triple their regular speed and got into a defensive position very quickly.

While they were scrambling, the rumbles got louder and louder until they began to see the very trees begin to shake and break. The group was acting with the utmost haste. Trista and Jake gathered the highest-leveled fighters to the front while ordering people to begin to activate their skills. Soon a rainbow of colored mana flooded the sky, and yet two stood out from the rest, one being Trista's red mana that was like a violent inferno while the other was Jake's. His was a brilliant shade of green like an ancient tree that had survived hundreds if not thousands of years of the harshest winters.

"Battle Formation 2! Long-range unit prepare to fire!" Trista roared to the unit who moved in sync. Becca took the lead from her, light green mana that moved like the wind, gathering around her body and the arrow she had loaded. She trained her eyes on the edge of the forest.

*ROOOOOAAAAARR!*

A couple of trees fell in sync and crashed to the ground with the creature's roar, throwing up a huge cloud of dust and debris. The group was used to hearing such noises, but they blinked in surprise. They had thought whatever was coming their way was a charging beast. Instead, it sounded more like two beasts were fighting one another and one had just gotten a large injury. Yet they didn't have time to think as whatever was coming their way finally broke free from the tree line.

"YOU FUCKER! JUST FUCKING DIE ALREADY! GEYSER PUNCH!" A roar of anger from a very familiar voice suddenly shook the sky as everyone watched in disbelief. Percy who was surrounded by a mix of red and blue mana was fighting a giant pangolin who was surrounded by a flickering brown mana.

Both were locked onto one another as Percy reared back his glowing and bloody fist and managed to land a huge hit right to the beast's bloody head, sending it rolling backward toward the forest. Percy didn't relent though as he charged forward as another intense glow of blue mana surrounded his fist and slammed right into the unarmoured gut of the beast.

*BOOOOM!*

A giant burst of blood suddenly erupted from the point of contact as Percy's fist buried itself and his arm up to his elbow inside it. The beast struggled and let out another roar of pain as Percy let out a roar of his own that shook the sky and world around him. His scream of madness even managed to reach the camp that was nearly 2,000 feet away, as some of the weaker-willed people were paralyzed by it.

The pangolin itself seemed shaken to its core as it tried to pull away but was stopped as Percy's hand seemed to grab something deep inside of the beast. It gave a cry of pain and struggled more but Percy managed to hold tightly onto whatever he was holding as he was dragged along by the struggling beast. Biding his time, a huge burst of red mana flooded from Percy's body once he put his foot against the Pangolin's body and then kicked with all his might.

*SNAP!*

*ROOOARR!*

A sickening snapping sound cracked through the air along with Percy, who was launched backward from the rolling beast screaming bloody murder. Rolling to stop himself, he casually glanced at the broken part of the rib he had managed to rip out of the beast. He gave the giant bone a twirl before he turned to the bleeding-out Pangolin struggling to its 3 remaining feet. The beast was losing so much blood it seemed like it would bleed out any second while it was taking ragged breaths.

Only three of the eyes on one side of its head were still functional, the other side completely torn to shreds from what looked like the claws of a wild beast. Along with its missing foreleg and now a huge hole in its chest, it was on its last leg of life. Yet even at death's door, the three remaining eyes with an abundance of fear and also fury, like a person with nothing left to lose. Just then one final burst of brown mana burst from the beast, pouring into the ground around it.

Percy was in a similar state as the beast, also struggling to catch his breath. All of the skin and fingernails on both hands were gone, leaving his muscles exposed to the air of the world. A huge gash also ran across his left thigh, making him favor the leg. Yet even as immense pain coursed through his body, Percy seemed unhindered by it, choosing to grit his teeth and grip the sharp rib.

"I must say for being a stupid shit licker, you are far braver than I would have ever imagined. I promise that every ounce of your body will be put to proper use. You have my word." Percy promised before he wiped a trail of blood running down his face with his forearm and got into a ready stance. Even though the beast was in extreme pain and couldn't even speak, it seemed to understand his words and growled in response.

The two stood in silence for only a moment more before Percy broke the deadlock. But on his first step, the ground seemed to warp like wet clay. People far away couldn't help but gasp as they saw Percy sink into the ground, and Trista and Jake sprinting as fast as they could to reach him. Before they could even get close, Percy easily strolled out of the mud as if walking on water. His feet were completely covered with blue mana allowing him to run toward the beast.

Each of his steps caused only tiny ripples on the surface of the water-like ground as she shot forward. In a single moment, Percy let out a beast-like roar himself as multiple earth spikes soon shot towards him. There were dozen that sprouted from the ground as the beast used the very last of its mana and let out a scream to match Percy's. Blood flowed from its mouth in turn as Percy moved again, The red mana wrapped around him suddenly transformed into a supernova as Percy's muscles bludged even more.

"Bursting Wrath!" He screamed as his red mana focused on the broken rib in his hands as he threw it with all his might causing a huge boom as it cut through the air. Each earth spike in its path broke apart like nothing as the rib was like a spear of divine might. In a split second, all the spikes in front of Percy were gone in a shower of debris and only the rib was left. It continued on its path as Percy started to collapse on the ground due to exerting all this strength.

A glimmer seemed to pass through the beast's remaining eyes as time seemed to slow down for a split second. Percy locked eyes with the beast as he caught the glimmer right before the rib spear pierced into gouged-out eyes and pierced right into its brain. As it did the earth seemed to rumble and all the earth spikes closing in on Percy shuddered and lost all momentum. Even the soft ground behind him seemed to harden as everything came to a close.

After receiving yet another world achievement Percy got several other notifications from the system yet he didn't look at them. He was busy lying face-first on the ground as an intense pain started to go through his entire body. Every muscle fiber and bone in his body felt like they had either been broken or stretched beyond reason as he let out a hiss of immense pain.

"Percy!" A conjoined shout from Trista and Jake filled the air as they ran his way. While they did Percy could only lie silently on the ground he felt his consciousness begin to wane from the pain and exhaustion. Yet he managed to hold on for a bit as he barely managed to roll himself onto his back and take deep breaths of air. As he did a large grin spread on his face as he eyed the floating beauty in the sky above him as she gave him an expression of relief and worry.

'Y-You had me worried there you big idiot.' Gaia's voice filled his mind as Percy looked up at her and couldn't help but smile through the pain.

"Remember to pick out what you want to eat." Percy managed to whisper as Gaia's face went from worry to exasperation to slight anger. She wanted to say something but her voice caught itself in her throat as she saw Percy pass out on the ground. All she could do was grip at her dress in frustration as her emotions boiled inside her. She then kept a close eye on him until Trista and Jake reached him as several others with healing skills followed.

At the same time far above in the sky the armored figure with the black design on its chest seemed to finally relax as they watched people start to quickly heal Percy. They even seemed to let out a sigh as their glowing eyes softened the tiniest amount as their eyes lingered on Percy for a few minutes. Finally, all of the first aid treatment and what few healing skills the group had were used on Percy as they carefully carried him back to camp.

With that the figure's gaze lingered for a bit longer before a sense of reluctance washed over them, as it did they turned their gaze away from the world beneath them and towards the stars above. They then began to slowly fly upwards as space began to gently ripple as they moved closer to the spot. Just before they entered the ripple they paused as they took one last glance at the planet their eyes focused on Gaia.

"You best protect this place properly world spirit, if I come back and... never mind." They spoke to nobody but themselves as they disappeared into the ripple of space. An instant later nothing but normal space was left as if nothing had ever happened

LINEBREAK:

PERCY POV:

"Mmmm?" I slowly awoke to feel the jostling of a cart and the sound of people talking as my consciousness was pulled from my slumber. I slowly my eyes and was first welcomed by the top of a wagon, Glancing to my right and left I found the triples all helping one another make a mixture of herbs and other things. Just then a pair of hazel eyes found mine as their movements completely stopped.

"Percy is awake!" Fall suddenly screamed outside the wagon as the bustling outside the wagon seemed to grow more intense.

"Don't you dare move! Summer grab the herb soup we prepared!" Winter commanded as her triplet quickly did as she said. The three quickly moved in perfect sync, I just blinked in surprise as soon I found myself propped up against several large soft beast skins and other things.

"He's awake?" A bellowing voice shouted right outside the wagon that had come to a stop as a fiery mane of hair came into view. A piercing pair of green eyes then landed on mine as I watched Trista let out a giant sigh of relief as her normally fierce gaze softened as tears welled up on the edge of her eyes.

"Thank the stars, I was so worried," Trista said with a soft gasp as she wiped the tears from he eyes. I felt a wave of emotion come over me as I watched my mother begin to cry, I opened my mouth to say something only for a spoonful of something extremely bitter forced into my mouth. I grimaced at the intense flavor of the 'soup' I nearly spat it out but stopped myself as I saw 3 teary pairs of hazel eyes staring at me.

"Thank you." I managed to say with a slightly raspy voice but another very spoonful of the 'soup' was forced inside my mouth as I was force-fed until two large bowls were emptied. With my stomach full I couldn't help but burp a little as a comforting warmth began to spread through my body and push aside some of the pain I felt.

"You're a grown man and you still make such a mess." Trista chastised me as she started to clean my face a bit, her teary green eyes still forcing me to stay silent as I let her do as she pleased.

"The caravan will stop for lunch here soon!" Jake's voice filled the air outside the carriage as the bustle of people seemed to grow a bit more. With that, I was visited by Becca, Fallon, Tristy, and Yuel who each had their own choice of words to tell me in the most polite manner they could. Though their words were harsh I knew they were only worried for me. Most told me to take better care of myself and I could only agree with them.

"When we stop we will change the bandages on your arms, You're lucky we have a few people who gained healing skills and this world has changed, if it was the past your arms would be beyond help." Summer said to me as I tried to remember the wounds on my hands only to feel a dull constant pain radiant from both my arms as I grimaced a bit.

"I'm sorry to cause you so much trouble." I couldn't help but apologize to the triplets and Trista as all four women eyed me for a bit and then signed in unison.

"Trouble doesn't begin to cover the worries you filled our hearts with. But that is beside the point you are alive and that is what matters most. So... was your little power leveling thing worth it?" Trista asked me as I slowly glanced at several skills and notifications that crossed my vision.

The three things that had evolved the most in the fight were Asuar's rage, 5 endless currents, and his constitution. Asura's rage seemed like an entirely new skill now and even part of the name seemed to change adding a '?' onto it. I wasn't sure entirely what it meant but it also added a new caution to the skill. Though the mind trial thing was a hindrance I wasn't too worried.

My mind/soul world was strong enough that it even blocked the trial grounds for forming and instead formed itself and gave me the home-field advantage. Still thinking about that place... it brought back sour memories as I internally sighed and pushed back the thoughts. That mind world was one of the things that kept me from going insane while I floated in the void. I was grateful for it as much as I despised it and how it exposed my inner self so well.

Regardless it was all-around improvements on all stages as I happily overlooked the skill in my vision before focusing on the real grand prize. Several more messages appeared in front of my eyes as my rewards for all my hard work were displayed.

[Title is being generated...]

[Title is being altered...]

[Title: Obsessed Soul has been given and added to stat sheet]

Obsessed Soul

15% increase in strength of mind/soul world against all foreign worlds, trials, and negative ailments.

[Two system rewards detected...]

[Rewards are being fused... Rewards are being given...]

[User is level 25 and more records cannot be given!]

[Akashic will alter the reward...]

[Reward is being exchanged for an item of equal value...]

[Akashic has determined an item of value that is most useful to the user...]

[Reward Evolved Moster and Plant Encylpedia Vol.1 has been given!]

[Reward will spawn when the user decides to accept it]

It only took me a second to determine that the reward given was indeed the most useful thing I could use at the moment. Sure an awesome skill or more stat points would be nice, but a book on basic knowledge of monsters was vastly more useful than any stat points. I could even think of several ways to use it and train everyone. Besides I wasn't lacking in stat points at the moment. Finally, my eyes glanced at the very last notifications from the system but held back my temptation to go over them and looked back at Trista.

"It was well worth it," I said with a simple smile as Trista just stared at me and let out a small sigh.

"If you think so you must have gained a lot in exchange for your injuries, still you didn't need to worry us so much." She continued in a chastising tone, I couldn't help but chuckle a little seeing she was in a slightly better mood than before.

"I am sorry for the worry also, do you know where we are?" I couldn't help but ask the group seemed to finally come to a stop for lunch.

"We are on our way to Bross, This is the second day of travel but we have managed to cover nearly triple the distance we did in the past. Your plan to raise everyone's stamina and strength was the right decision." Trista said as I nodded in understanding and started to think about a few things, It seemed like I had slept nearly a full day. Which wasn't too much of a surprise.

"What happened to the Pangolin corpse? Was it processed properly? I wanna make sure all the warriors are able to eat their fill, I suspect that meat from a Tier 1 beast will have huge benefits to us." I asked her thinking of the beast I had slain as she paused and just stared at me for a bit as her eyes seemed to flicker with thoughts.

"You're not even awake for an hour and you're already worried about the group and wondering about things." She said while rubbing her head a little as I gave a soft chuckle.

"A leader must take of his people regardless of circumstance. Also, I think I can walk with a bit of help. If people see me alive then that will give them a bit of renewed hope and a boost of energy." I said as Trista just blinked at me in surprise as did the triplets, almost like they had seen a ghost as I looked at their confused faces.

"What?"

"Do you think he hit his head in the fight?" Fall suddenly asked her better halves as both sisters nodded in sync and I gave them an exasperated face.

"Hush you three." Trista chastised as the three shrank back. "Come with me and we will get you something to eat, Your legs had a few injuries but nothing deep so you should be fine to walk." Trista said as I nodded, my condition somehow much better and the pain finally subsiding thanks to the potent 'soup' I had drank earlier.

With a bit of help I was helped outside the carriage I had been laying in as the bright sun was revealed to me as I got a view of the land. A slightly hilly plain of grass surrounded us on all sides which made it very easy to protect. I had a bit of trouble walking due to a bit of weakness in my body but thanks to my HP being over 100 with the boosts I healed at nearly 10 times the normal adult male.

The instant I was spotted people froze in place in awe as the scenario spread like wildfire throughout the camp until nearly all of the 200 people stared at me. I just stared back as my face showed a happy grin as I raised one of my bandaged hands as a way to show victory. Instantly people gave a cheer as they even began to laugh as the mood of everyone instantly brightened. I knew that with my battle shown to everyone they had already unconsciously accepted me as a leader, now I just had to work on it a bit more and this leader gig was in the bag.

"Alright enough! Go about your business you have an hour to eat and then we are on the move again!" Trista roared as people quickly began to disperse to their areas and groups.

"You already able to walk?" Asked a surprised voice as I turned to see my Jake walking towards us with a bowl of a meat stew. His eyes stared at my heavily bandaged arms as a wave of concern passed through his eyes. Yet he seemed to hold it back as he took a short breath as he seemed to gather himself a little.

"Of course, it's because I am a Jackson after all," I said with a grin as he couldn't help to do the same. Mother however didn't seem as amused as she snorted at us and rolled her eyes as Jake chuckled and handed her a bowl of soup.

"Well, I am happy to see you are okay, well as much as you can be," Jake said in a fatherly tone, I nodded in understanding as his brown eyes moistened just a bit before any possible tears were blinked away before he continued, "So what has got you up and walking?"

"My spoils, of course, I have to make sure it was handled with care. I made a promise to the beast that I would make sure it was harvested properly." I admitted as he couldn't help but pause at my words before laughing for a bit before leading the way.

"Here is everything," Jake said as he led us to a carriage that was loaded with multiple bundles of items that were either wrapped in leather or in buckets. There was even a stack of scales to the side and some items even appeared to be wrapped in ice, which I assumed was the meat or other organs. Taking in the size of everything and using my head to calculate it I nodded, everything seemed to be here.

"Thank you for dismantling it," I said as Jake shook his head and threw a thumb toward Gretta who busily handing out soup to everyone with a few other people.

"That giant of a wo-." Before he could even say anything a quick smack from Trista silenced him as he revealed a face of pain as he rubbed his head.

"Gretta did the dismantling along with a few other chefs, It took a few hours but they managed to get everything separated. Now it is up to you how to distribute the goods, it is your kill after all." Mother said as I glanced at Dad before nodding as I gave it a bit of thought.

"Like I said before I want the meat to feed the warriors and people of importance first, leave some for us to eat, and set aside the heart and liver for now. For the scales and bones give them to the blacksmiths and have them turned into weapons and armor. If it dropped a core then I will personally take it and any other loot it dropped, that reminds me." I said as I waved my hand and the air in front of me shimmered and a thick leather bound book with a lock on the front of it appeared in the air.

Both Mom and Dad stared with wide eyes as I summoned a book from thin air I quickly grabbed it and glanced at the cover to see the title 'Moster and Plant Encylopedia Vol.1'. I nodded quickly as I handed Dad the book and he continued to stare at it in awe.

"Have several people study this book and make copies if they can, This book is a gift from the system and holds incredibly important information. Have the triplets study it as well, they will probably kick and scream if they aren't part of the process. But beyond anything else keep the book safe, this is a gold mind for us. If possible I would like to keep the original safe after copies are made."

"I will see to it," Dad said as I nodded thankfully.

"This is going to help them a lot." Mom said as I nodded in agreement, The triplets were little geniuses when it came to stuff like plants and anything related to alchemy.

"Still can't believe they decided to take them in, we don't even know if it is possible to raise such things," Dad said with a reluctant sigh as Mom nodded and I paused a bit and stared at them for a bit.

"Things?" I questioned as they both blinked a bit before realization crossed their faces.

LINEBREAK:

"You can't be serious," I said voice of purse surprised as I saw Fallon and Tristy both taking care of three lightly tinted gold-scaled Pangolins that were about the size of a large house cat. Each was clinging onto one of the twins as the two were bottle-feeding them. I could only stare in complete awe as the twins happily aided the suckling creatures.

"It seems your enemy was a girl and she had given birth a bit before the Akashic system arrived. We were even able to have Becca use a skill she found called Scouting Eye to tell us their species and basic information, apparently called Treasure Seeking Pangolins." Yuel said from her little perch on her leaf all I could do was blink a bit.

"How did you even find out about them?" I asked them as Mom gave of a grin.

"Gretta discovered a hidden pair of full mammary glands on the beast when she was dissecting it. So we simply followed your path of destruction into the forest and boom we found them. Becca was the one who suggested we bring them back, she had raised wild animals before so thought that they might be of use to us."

"Jake and I were against it at first and then the triplets discovered them and basically begged us to keep them. We simply couldn't say no to them and their pleas, besides Becca offered to help them train them as well. But after discovering their species name it is even more of a suggestion that they might be useful, so we decided to keep them and raise them properly." Mom said as I remained silent for a bit.

'It is possible, as long as they are cared for properly and trained then there shouldn't be any problem. Once they grow to a young adult they should be able to start seeking treasures even.' A whisper suddenly graced my ears as I listened to Gaia's words. Hearing her calm voice gave me a bit of worry but I had to forgo such thoughts for the moment.

"Fine just make sure to take care of them properly and are trained. Make sure the triplets are part of the training as well, If anything happens though I want to be the first to know." I said the twins happily nodded as Trista did the same.

With the last of the surprises out of the way, time began to pass once again as I was back on the move. Because of my body's condition, I was once again forced into a carriage as my bandages were replaced and more medicine was applied to them. When they did I got a look at just how bad my hands were as I grimaced a bit, Not an ounce of skin was left on both hands and one was even forced into a certain position with splints due to some of the bones being cracked.

After they were replaced while we moved the group only continued to move forward until night fell upon us. The group quickly set up a circle of wagons and guards surrounded that while on full guard, the darkness housing monsters of all shapes and sizes. Yet any brave beasts were cut down like nothing by the guards who all now had a war sword in hand due to all the drops from monsters. Eventually after a hearty and healthy meal of the best Pangolin meat I had ever eaten I was ready for bed.

'You are lucky, so lucky it is almost insane. I can't believe you had not one, not two, but three people acquire healing skills in your group. Not to mention your sisters who seemed to have acquired outstanding Alchemy and Herbology skills. If not you would be in a split and bandages for several months or even more, that is even with your speed of healing right now.' A whisper once again entered my head as I couldn't help but glance upwards yet I didn't find Gaia inside the carriage.

'Indeed I am... but I'm still alive, aren't I? I also didn't lose any limbs so that is a double bonus. Give me a few weeks and I should be able to hold a sword with my left hand.' I thought in my head as I waited for the mind-reading world spirit to respond, but it seemed my answer was not the one she wanted to hear. All I could do was frown a tiny bit, this moody world spirit was going to be the death of me.

'Death of you? Maybe once you cross Tier 4, then I can kill you without dying myself!' She roared in my head as I grimaced from the volume of her shout.

'Fine fine, I know I was reckless and I should have retreated sooner and more careful with myself. But I got caught in a mind trial from a skill and lost control of any chance of escape from there.' I explained as Gaia seemed to pause for a second.

'A mind trial?' She questioned as I quickly began to tell her all the events that had happened in the trial, from the Asura invading my soul/mind realm and me killing him. To all the rewards I got and even the title, I received for passing said trial. After a thorough explanation and even showing her the modified skills, she remained silent for a bit.

Ever so slowly her figure began to appear in the carriage, her face was filled with concern as her eyes traced all over me. I couldn't help but do the same towards the stunning beauty as she sat in silence for a bit until she slowly parted her lips and let out a soft breath of concern. Just then shimmering eyes me my own as I realized the normal playfulness we shared was gone.

"Just be more careful... You are my only chance to get any help after all." She said with concern before quickly adding the last part and a tiny cough as I just smiled.

"I will try my best, In a world like this surprises like this and near-death experiences will only become more frequent," I admitted as Gaia seemed to agree with me but her look of concern still didn't diminish.

*Sigh*

"You are the living embodiment of a migraine for people who care about you. Regardless you have pulled off an outstanding feat that is worthy of infinite praise. The people around you don't know it yet but killing a being one tier above your own is truly difficult and only perhaps one in several million beings can do such a thing." She explained to me as I took in the information and couldn't help but agree. She had mentioned it a bit in the past but never in such detail as now. Just then her eyes seemed to grow serious as I focused a bit on them as she spoke again.

"This makes you dangerous and very desirable, what you have done is put yourself on a pedestal that others will want to challenge and knock you off of. It even makes you a target for factions if they catch wind of your achievement. I am protecting the planet from others at the moment from such people, unless they as especially powerful that is. Anyway... just be careful from now on. I don't think I enjoy seeing you in such a state even if it is mildly amusing." Gaia said before she let out a small huff as her eyes landed on my arms again as she tried to joke a little.

"Haha neither do I, Honestly going to the bathroom is such a pain now. Like I can't even hold me peni-." Before I could finish Gaia interrupted me.

"Shut up! I don't need to hear it." She said with an annoyed face, I couldn't help but laugh in return as I felt the mood finally mellow out. After laughing for a bit and regaining my breath I couldn't help but reveal a grin as Gaia raised her eyebrow at me.

"What?" She questioned as my grin grew a bit more.

"I finally reached level 25 and got my job list for Tier 1," I said as Gaia's long ears seemed to perk up a bit with interest but her face remained only a tiny bit curious.

"Oh? Have you picked one yet?" Gaia asked me as I shook my head as her curiosity grew.

"I haven't even looked at them yet, I was waiting until you showed up to do so. I wanted to see your face when I revealed them for the first time." I said with a grin as Gaia's face twitched in frustration as I teased her a little.

"Chaos please aid me so that I don't beat this idiot. I fear it will only make him dumber if I do." Gaia suddenly seemed to pray as I gawked a bit at her words, this bitch! Before I could retort to her words she gave me a simple smile as if teasing me to see if I could make her truly show a surprised face. However, it only made me want to make her make such a face even more now.

"Well don't keep me waiting," Gaia said with a small scoff as I felt my eyebrow twitch a bit.

"..." I didn't even say anything as I opened the list provided by the Akashic system as it appeared in both our eyes.

[Job lists provided below]

1. True Path Seeker

2. War God Apprentice

3. Endless Current Warrior

4. Soul Mage

5. Typhoon Warrior

6. Sinister Jester

7. Asura Berserker

8. Cursed Orator

9. Monster Chef

10. Elite Swordsman

11. Wandering Mercenary

12. Mage

13. Swordsman

14. Chef

15. Mercenary

As my eyes scanned down the list I found the jobs decreasing in amazement and style as the list went down. I completely discarded the last 4 as I read the names of the others my interest peeked. Yet not a single description was listed by the jobs as I left guessing what some of them meant, 6 through 11 though were pretty self-explanatory from what I could tell though. Cursed Orator probably leaned towards silver tongue and war cry skills.

Asura Berserker was self-explanatory, same with Monster Chef, Elite Swordsman, and wandering Mercenary. Sinister Jester though seemed a bit different, I could only think it actually focused on my mentality in battle and the craziness that I had about me. 1 through 5 though seemed extra special as I couldn't help but glance at Gaia. In turn, I was greeted with a completely exasperated face as I felt a shiver of delight pass through my spine.

"See anything of interest?" I couldn't help but prob her as she seemed to snap out of her trance and close her mouth as her eyes fluttered a little.

"Y-You... just shut up. I need a moment." She said covering her face with a hand as she took a few breaths.

"Hey come on don't hide, I earned this victory," I said proudly as Gaia froze a little before realizing she was indeed showing an amazed face. She tried to correct herself but it was too late as her eyes darted to the list again her eyes trembled a bit before she gave up and sighed.

"Fine fine, you win are you happy?" She asked me as I smiled. "Oh, very much so. So which one do you think I should pick?"

"..." Gaia seemed to roll her eyes a tiny amount at my words but kept quiet as my question landed on her ears. She seemed to start thinking quite a bit about something before taking a long breath and turning towards me with a look of seriousness.

"Percy the way this job selection works is like this, all the jobs in the list are based on everything that makes you as a person. It even goes as far as to match personalities and habits and fit them into jobs. The top three jobs are always the most powerful jobs the user is offered but at the same time, they are hardest for the user to obtain. Each will have a trial and if you cannot pass the trial then you will be forced to pick another job from the list until you pass." Gaia said as I nodded along as she glanced at the list before turning my way again.

"Job names also have special meanings to them as well... your endless current warrior is based on the technique you made and will focus solely on that and raise its power greatly. It may even make it harder to practice other techniques in the future, it simply depends. For the War God Apprentice, you would become someone in line to take over the title of War God. It would likely focus on battles and slaughter for it to grow but in exchange give you great power." She explained as I took in all the information and she took a deep breath yet again.

"The True Path Seeker... is completely different than the others. This job has no path or destination for it to focus on, instead, you are expected to make one. The difficulty of creating such a thing is not something that can be explained with words, the only example I can think of would be fighting against the heavens themselves." She finished as I deciphered the information she gave me.

Silence soon ruled the room as I couldn't help but let my mind fall towards my memories. All the struggles and battles I went through, all the power I gained through training, and understanding how my powers worked to the maximum. Everything unfolded in my mind and what I had become near the end of my life before I was killed. I was not immortal but close, so close I could almost taste it yet I was stopped by Zeus on the others.

Yet I knew that my past life was not like this one, I had gods to help me along the way and teach me about powers, I even had their blessings poured on me. I then realized in the past I walked on a path that already had been laid before me because of my blood of Poseidon. I may have taken some small detores because of the blessings given to me but the path I walked was barely affected.

What kind of path would I choose even if I did select the True Path Seeker? What were my goals? What did I want to do? My mind only seemed to grow in turmoil as I tried to figure out what to do hundreds of thoughts flew around in my head. Soon a simple thought seemed to come to light, I simply wanted to be strong, so strong that nobody in this universe could threaten me. I also wanted to find everyone I cared about who transferred to this world, especially my Piper and Annabeth.

Yet at the same time I wanted to be so strong that my enemies would quake in fear of my name, for them to use my name as a way to scare children into behaving. I wanted them to run away to the furthest reaches of this universe to escape my grasp. Especially Tartarus, if I got my hands on him...

"Percy?" Suddenly a voice broke me out of my thoughts as I saw Gaia's jade green eyes blinking at me in a bit of worry. All I could do was give a small apologetic smile before taking a deep breath and hardening my gaze.

"I will go with True Path Seeker. I need power and I feel if I can make a path for myself then that will give me all the power I will ever need." I said as Gaia stared at me for a second before sighing just a little and nodding.

"I knew you would choose that... regardless I am here to help you. I will do my best to make sure you succeed in obtaining the power you need." She said as I shot her a thankful grin before turning back to the job list and selecting True Path Seeker.

[Are you sure you want to select the Job: True Path Seeker? Yes/No]

"Yes I do," I spoke out loud as the screen in front of me actually remained silent for a second before a new notification appeared in front of me.

[You have selected True Path Seeker as your Tier 1 job]

[The True Path Seeker is a path full of mystery and infinite decisions, one must come to understand oneself to walk this path. They must be prepared to forge a path from nothing but their own will and strength. A path perfectly built around them that the future generation may try to follow. A path that may lead them to the highest point in the universe or the lowest. Only the one who makes the path can decide what it truly will become]

[Conditions to unlock the True Path Seeker job-

Raise any 3 skills to Tier 2

Raise any 2 skills to Tier 3

Raise any 1 skill to Tier 4

Have a total of 3 Titles

Once all conditions are met the user will acquire the job]

"Dang..." I couldn't help but say as I read all the conditions to get the job and the description of the job.

"What is it?" Gaia questioned as I quickly moved the info for her to see, She quickly read over the information then her whole body suddenly stiffened and her eyes widened immensely.

"T-This is ridiculous! What is the Akashic system thinking!?" She shouted so loud that if people could have heard her I'm sure she would have woken up the whole camp. With my ears slightly ringing I stared at Gaia who was trying to calm herself down a little.

"Why what's wrong? It's just evolving some skills. With some time and effort, I am sure I can do it with no problem." I said as Gaia just glanced at me from under her hand which was covering her face as she let out a sigh as if I had said some stupid stuff.

"This is true for Tier 2 and 3 skills. But not for Tier 4, evolving a skill to Tier 4 normally requires at least 10 Tier 2 cores and maybe even a Tier 3! You barely killed a Tier 1 monster! What do you think you are going to do in the face of a Tier 2 or 3?! Let alone any other conditions it may hold, I didn't plan for this either... I need to think of ways to help you." She yelled as worry began to fill her face and she even began to nibble on her fingernails a little. At the same time, a bit of worry started to grow in my heart as well before I suddenly realized something.

"Gaia, would the Akashic system give out such conditions if it thought the user could not accomplish such things?" I suddenly asked as Gaia's nibbling stopped and she took her eyes off the notifications as she stared at me for a bit. The gears seemingly turned in her head before she slowly shook her head.

"No... it wouldn't ever do such a thing. The Akashic system is always fair, if people want power then they must show an ability to obtain it. It will never limit the person by asking for something that is impossible." She slowly said as a bit of hope seemed to come back into her eyes. As it did a message suddenly sprung up before me as my eyes widened and a crazy grin began to appear on my face.

"I think we may have found an answer to our dilemma," I said before sliding the message to Gaia as her eyes widened once again.

[The Akashic System has issued you a quest]

Quest: Retribution of the Asura Race

Overview: The Asura race has broken the rules of the Akashic system by cutting off their connection with the system and escaping record absorption when they die. They then return to their soul realm to recover and continue to spread like a plague through their Skill Asura's Rage. The system wishes for you to travel to the Asura Race's Soul realm and kill as many of them as you can eliminating part of the infestation. The System will open a portal only once for you to reach the soul realm, use this chance wisely.

Special remarks: This quest can be shared with 2 other people below Tier 4. After accepting the quest the portal will not open until the user wishes for it to.

Rewards: ???? Based on the amount of beings killed

Do you accept? Yes/No

[The system is watching...]

"It seems the system is giving you a chance to properly get your Tier 4 skill after all, I can only guess but if you accomplish a lot on this quest the reward will more than likely match what you need," Gaia exclaimed with a bit of excitement in her tone, even her beautiful eyes seemed to sparkle with newfound hope as I couldn't help but stare for a bit before grinning some more.

"My thoughts exactly!" I said happily before accepting the quest.

[The quest has been accepted and can be started at any moment]

[Please notify the system when you wish to start]

[The system is thankful...]

"Thankful?" I couldn't help but question myself for a bit as I thought about the word for a second before turning to Gaia.

"Quick question for you G," I said with a small playful glint in my eyes as Gaia's green eyes twitched a little. "Oh ho? Brave are we?" She asked me with a killer gaze as if she was about to pummle me.

"What? Is G, not a good nickname? Alright, I guess I can call you greeny or maybe-." I started to talk but she quickly shut me up with a glare "Just call me my name, before I decided to vanish for 2 weeks."

"Fine fine, as you wish Gaia." I relented as she continued to glare for a second before letting out an adorable huff.

"So what is your question?" She finally asked me with a raised eyebrow.

"Is The Akashic System alive like you and me? Like emotions like we have and all of that?" I asked her as Gaia blinked in surprise at my question.

"I am not sure... I have never thought of it before. If I were to guess it probably doesn't have any emotions on the level we do, that is if it does in the first place. But even if it does I would believe they are mostly indifferent to things." She tried to explain to me as I gradually nodded in understanding, most of what she said made sense. Still the sentence, the Akashic System is thankful, went around in my head a few times before I sighed and pushed it to the back of my mind.

"Well I don't know about you but I am exhausted and need some sleep," I said as I suddenly released a yawn and laid back down on the makeshift bed they had built inside the wagon for me.

"I am fine, get your sleep and relax. You have much healing to do before you are anywhere close to being ready for your quest." She said with a strict gaze as I rolled my eyes a little as I watched her float around in the wagon, after admiring her for a second I couldn't help but grin.

"You know you should sleep sometimes, it is good for the soul. I also just so happen to have a spot open right beside me." I said with a cheesy grin while patting the area next to me Gaia's face lit up with a small blush before a face of frustration appeared. She didn't even say a word before storming out of the wagon, unnoticed by everyone around as I was left lightly chuckling. Oh, how I enjoyed teasing her, it never got old.

Just then something was thrown into the cabin at a high speed and it nearly slammed right into my face before coming to an abrupt halt. I couldn't help but feel a drip of sweat run down my face as I stared at a small black box wrapped in pure jade green mana. The mana was then released as the Wonder Boombox was dropped onto my chest with a light thud. I couldn't help but let out a small chuckle as I stared at the small item that had been lost during my fight. Just then I noticed a small note was attached to the box as I moved my head a little before getting a closer look.

'I want a Pangolin steak with all the sides!'

A/N: Hello everyone! I hope you enjoyed the chapter, how is the story development going so far? I know it took me a while to crank it out but I am still alive and working away. I just have been busy and training a bunch of people at my work so it has been distracting me from working on my story. I also lost a bit of motivation there for a second to write but I am getting it back rest assured! I promise to never let these stories die like my others. Regardless leave a review and thank you all!!
