This song feels like Rachel comforting Luke in an au where he doesn't die. They're both suffering through a time where the one that they love is in love with another. She understands how he feels, but is in slightly less pain because she didn't know Percy as long as Luke had known Annabeth. I know it says that he had never seen Annabeth as anything except a sister, but it's like seeing your sibling look up to someone other than you (any of you big siblings can understand this, possibly). It hurts, a lot, to see the one that you love and know that you'll only be a fallback. Rachel understands and finds her new purpose, as the Oracle, and Luke finds his wherever he finds it. I like this au. I need a fic for it.
