"Light will lead the way

Will set you free

I'm only looking for a little peace..."

One week later...

"You wanted to see me, Lord Zeus?" Percy asked as he looked up at the lightning god in front of him. The rest of the council looked down at the demigod, fright and worry present on their faces. "Yes, Perseus," Zeus said in a neutral voice. "I wanted to ask you some questions." "May I ask what the topic is going to be, Lord Zeus?" "Your past, Perseus." Percy nodded as his suspicions were confirmed. "Did you have any trouble from going from your... old situation to being the Hero of Olympus?" "Well... I guess not?" Percy said, questioning his own answer. "I just... I had to, I didn't have a choice. Everyone would die if I didn't step up." Zeus nodded. "Okay... Well, your father thinks differently of this matter." "My dad was not there, Lord Zeus," Percy said with hurt in his voice. He shot a glance at his father, seeing his broken state. "I was..." Percy looked back, determined that he could finally say what he had wanted to say from the beginning. "The only problem I had with the thing was that you and the rest of Olympus apparently do not care when your children die or fight a war for you." Zeus frowned at the words and bowed over to the demigod. "Listen, demigod, you are not worthy of saying these things about Olympus and the Gods who live on it." Zeus was angry. Everybody saw it, but Percy didn't care. "I am your hero, I saved all of you, twice! And yet, I am not worthy of telling you the harsh truth, Lord Zeus." "Do not speak to me like that, Perseus!" Zeus shouted, making the throne room rumble with his loud voice.

"Whatever you like, Lord Zeus," Percy said, saying Lord Zeus as if it were an insult as he bowed, not caring about all the scared looks on the faces of the Olympians. He turned around, walking over to the elevator. "Do not turn your back on me, Perseus!" "Sorry, Percy Jackson is not available right now!" Percy shouted as he stepped into the elevator. "Try again later!" The doors closed, taking Percy down to New York.

...

"And?" Annabeth asked as she looked at Percy who was smiling as he saw his Wise Girl.

"They still don't have any manners!" Percy said while laughing and hugging Annabeth. "I wouldn't expect anything else, Percy." "Me neither."

...

Eventually, Percy told his friends, they were in shock, but quickly they accepted this was his past and they went on with their lives as if nothing was said and done. As if nothing had ever happened at all. For once in his life, everything went the way Percy wanted it to go.
