Family outing...in the middle of the night...with Percy and Oliver only

Percy woke up before everyone else, he silently got off the couch without waking up Annabeth. As he made his way to the kitchen his leg brushed past Oliver's head. The paranoid man woke up immediately. When Percy left the room he got up and followed him.

       "Morning."

Percy nearly jumped of of his skin, "Morning-actually no. It's the middle of the night."

Oliver smiled at Percy, "Hey, um, can you please tell me about. Well. Everything."

"I don't know if he introduced himself. But the man in there, my dad, his name is Poseidon. Except he wasn't just named after the Greek God. He IS the Greek God. They happen to be real and they have affairs with mortals, humans, creating demigods. Half mortal, half god. I'm the son of Poseidon, and Annabeth is the daughter of Athena."

Oliver didn't think the world could get any stranger, boy was he wrong. "ok, so why are you up so...late?"

"I haven't been conscious for the past 24 hours. I don't really want to be sleeping anymore." He joked.

       "Percy..."

"Because I tend to have nightmares when I'm sleeping. Annabeth helps a lot, because she gets them too. But after such a long flashback, I don't think she's gonna do much tonight. And...well I'm scared of what they'll do to me when I go back."

       "What does that mean?"

"I-I well, last year Annabeth and I fell into Tartarus. The Greek version of hell, the deepest pits of the underworld. We got captured by our previous enemies while we were looking for a way out and they tortured us for weeks. I took most of Annabeth's torture, so she wouldn't be hurt as much. What I didn't know is that they cursed me while we were down there. Every night when I go to sleep and have a nightmare, I'm magically transported back there. And they continue to work on their canvas..., me."

Oliver didn't really know how to comfort people, but he did know what could possibly help. He wrapped his arms around Percy's torso and hugged him as tightly as possible.

       "Thank you."

"Hey, why don't you join me on a patrol of the city?"

"You do realize we're in New York, right?"

"Well, yeah, but with all of that. I'm assuming there's a fast way to travel as a demigod. Right?"

Someone cleared their throat behind them. "I think that is a great idea. Percy, I'll see you when you return." It was Poseidon.

Just as he snapped his fingers, Oliver and Percy appeared in the lair.

"Thanks Dad!" Percy yelled at the sky.

       "That felt weird."

Percy flashed Oliver a smile that scared him. Apparently that wasn't the worst feeling ever.

"Okay, you can borrow Dig's suit. His is the one with the helmet. Suit up."

       Percy smiled and quickly changed.

A FEW MINUTES LATER---------------------------------I hope you read that in the Spongebob voice

Percy and Oliver were soon heading towards an armed robbery that was in the middle of the city.

"Okay, Percy, this is how it's gonna go down. The vault that they are robbing is in the basement. I'll get them from the back, you go from the front, and we'll take it from there. Sounds good?"

Percy nodded his head in approval and got into position waiting for Oliver to be ready. As soon as he was Percy snuck into the building. He was so quiet he thought he was Nico. When he reached the stairs he heard a voice.

       "He's here, sir."

"Good. Lucky us, we have the green one as well."

Percy grinned, Oliver wasn't alone tonight. No, tonight he was with someone a little more powerful.

He heard the opposite door open...Oliver was here.

Percy opened the door with one strong kick and was met with the hilt of a sword hitting his head. Then he saw black.

He groggily opened his eyes. Looking all around the room he saw Oliver still unconscious, crap, he thought.

       "Hello Perseus Jackson."

As if on cue, Oliver opened his eyes.

       "Who are you?"

"Hush, hush, little arrow. I'm talking to the boy. Now tell me, can you not recognize your old pal, Perseus?"

Percy looked up and was met with pure gold eyes, "Kronos."  He growled. For the first time since Tartarus he felt that little glass ball inside his chest.

"I was very disappointed when you escaped. We had so many more games to play. For example, do you really believe Athena's brat is safe in your little apartment?"

       "LEAVE ANNABETH OUT OF THIS!"

He felt a crack appear in the little glass ball.

"Poor Perseus. He can't even rescue his damsel. That weak girl will be dead by sunrise."

Annabeth's voice appeared in his head, "Promise me you'll never do that again. Some things aren't meant to be controlled Percy."

Percy calmed himself, he grinned evilly. "Annabeth isn't a damsel. And she sure as hell isn't weak. You go after her, she'll kill you. And if you even manage to scratch her, Thalia will come running for you. i wouldn't like those odds very much if I were you."

For a split second Kronos's golden eyes became blue. Percy finally recognized Luke, he saw his old friend. He was alive.

"They don't scare me. I am a titan, they are mere demigods."

"Oh, yeah? Tell that to Luke."

Oliver watched the conversation with curiosity, he hoped Percy kept the man talking. He was almost out of his bonds.

"Luke, is dead. You and the blonde saw to that."

"Then explain the blue eyes to me, Kronos."

After so many years of seeing fears in his friends faces, Percy could clearly make out the fear in his face. He wasn't as all powerful as he saw himself to be.

"He's GONE. Now I have someone who's ready to bring you back to Tartarus. I need to finish torturing you."

"That was YOU?! I swear to god, when I get out of here I'm going to kill you!"

Kronos turned to look at Oliver. Laughing at the mortal in front of him.

This was just the distraction Percy needed. He managed to get his hands to his pocket and opened Riptide. He cut the bonds, and started attacking Kronos. Once again nothing seemed to stick, he had dipped himself in the River Styx yet again.

       I'm sorry Annabeth.

The only way to get out of this situation was to break the promise he made to her. He stopped attacking Kronos and felt the ichor inside of the titans body. He soon fell to the ground gasping for air. Percy quickly ran to Oliver and cut him loose.

"We gotta get out of here. That won't last forever."

The two sprinted out of the building, hopped on their bikes, and drove as fast as possible back to the lair.
