An alcoholic.

A gambler.

An abuser.

A monster.

Every time he'd hit me, slap me, kick me, throw me, even whip me, he'd laugh.

A sickening grin on his monstrous face.

He would look at me with those scary eyes and his mouth was filled with cruel words.

I would hear my mom's voice, somewhere far away.

But I would slip away in a world of darkness and peace.

I would never try to stop me from entering that world. Not once. It was the only place in peace. Or with my mom... She is everything to me...

The woman with the blue food.

The woman with the lovely words.

The woman who cares.

That is my mom.

When the monster tries to hurt her, I always protest, I scream at him, getting his attention...

The monster who still lives in my nightmares and dark memories in my head.

The monster that broke me several times.
