22. Hellos and Hugs
An: I don't own any of PJO, HOO or Marvel.
Also time runs faster for Percy so even though Percy has only been unconscious for a couple of hours, that like hundreds years for Percy.
*Percy*
I was trapped inside my own head. It felt like I had been for years. Constantly reliving my worst memories and nightmares, stuck in a never ending cycle.
The only thought that kept me sane was a tiny nagging in the back of my head which I could feel throughout all of the nightmares. That nagging is just 6 words being repeated. 'Tartarus is gone. Everyone is safe.'
*Nightmare*
I was chained to the table. I could barely move. My body was covered in blood. I had slits all over my back and arms.
"Percy, Percy, Percy. Are you ready for the next round?" A voice from behind asked me. I knew the voice instantly. Tartarus.
He threw a bucket of water on me to keep my alive. No one could save me. Not down here.
As I began to lose the last tiny piece of hope that I had held onto, those 6 words popped up again interrupting the nightmare.
"Tartarus is gone. Everyone is safe."
As soon as those words filled my head, I came out of the Nightmare.
*Obviously end of nightmare :D*
I was confused. Normally as soon as one nightmare or flashback finished I would go straight into another one, however, this time, I was just standing in a completely black room. I could tell this wasn't a nightmare, this was real and I once again had a feeling telling me that my life was in grave danger. Yep, I do get that feeling a lot, if you were wondering.
"I always knew you were powerful, m'boy, but never this powerful." That voice. It has felt like hundreds if years since I heard it. It probably has been.
"Chiron?" I asked, my voice sounded weak. I could hardly move. "Is it really you?" I could now see Chiron walking up to me.
"Yes, m'boy. Now, tell me, how long have you been here?" Chiron replied,
"In this black room? About as long as we've been talking and stuck in my head... about 600 years." I mumbled quietly.
Chiron paled dramatically.
"Right, Percy, listen to me. I am going to send you back however when you first awaken you will feel all the pain that has been set upon you in the last 600 years. Don't worry, It should pass quickly."
I interrupted
"What do you mean, should pass quickly?"
He ignored my question.
"When you wake the avengers should be around you, as well as some people from camp, I told them about the pain but we were unaware of how quickly time passes here."
"Why, how much time has past at home?" I asked.
"About 14 hours or so." with that he lent forward and touched my forehead speaking in a language not unlike the one that Tartarus spoke in when he cursed me.
Suddenly, I opened my eyes.
Imagine taking a dip in the Styx... Then that again 20 times, then being sliced by Kronos' scythe and then having every kind of poison running through your body then times all that pain by 3.
Then completely forget that pain because it was only a fraction of the pain I felt.
After what felt like days but in reality was only an hour the pain stopped. Just like that.
"Yep, I see why you said should Chiron." I murmured.
I sat up to see a red headed master assassin who doesn't cry, leaning on Clint's shoulder crying her eyes out. Bruce was in the corner with a greenish tint on his face, Thor was standing beside Tony and Steve with relieved looks of there face...
Then you've got the campers... Led by Thalia and Nico.
Thalia walked up to me and slapped me in the face. which was then followed by a hug.
"You stupid son of Poseidon!"
Nico looked just as angry. but stayed standing where he was.
"Those were the worse 19 hours of my life, Kelp Head! We were all worried about you fighting Gaia, then we find out you got blessed by all the Olympians, then we find out you Fought Tartarus and killed him, then to top it off, you get cursed by him before he dies! Do you know how worried we've all been! Even the new campers that have never met you have been worried for Zeus' sake!" Thalia practically screamed in my face.
Would it be weird to say that I had forgotten that I had been blessed by all the Olympians? Probably, but in my defence I have been busy for the last 600 years not that they know that.
As if reading my mind, Chiron came forward and whispered in my ear.
"I will not tell them the true length of time you were away, however, I think it would be best if you told a few people." He nodded his head in the direction of the avengers. I nodded and slipped my legs over the edge of the bed, much to everyone's protests.
"Can we go back to the tower, I need to talk to you all." I aimed at the avengers. They nodded and Steve helped me walk to the helicopter that they must of taken here.
Natasha came and gave me a hug, much to my surprise but I quickly hugged back. She carried on crying into my shoulder while I looked at Clint with a face saying 'What the hell do I do???!!!' He chuckled and pulled Natasha off me.
"Hey, guys, do we have any food?" I asked. Everyone smiled at this. I was trying to think if a way to tell them that I hadn't actually eaten in 600 years.
Turns out that being starved for 600 years really reduces your appetite.
I was given two massive sandwiches to eat. I know that I would have been able to eat them both before, but now... not so much.
"He could of at least given me a bit of bread everyday, but no, he decides to stave me for 600 years!" I said quietly to myself. I didn't think anyone would hear, but when living with two master assassins, never think that.
"WHAT!" They both screamed. Natasha once again started crying.
"How is that even possible? What do you mean 600 years!" Clint asked, he was once again comforting a crying Natasha.
Everyone else looked between us with concussion clear on their faces.
"Did we miss something?" Tony asked.
Thor gasped.
"600 Years! It was part of the story that went along with the curse. Time runs differently to the real time. Much, Much faster. No one knew how fast it was. Even though it was only 14 hours for us... it was 600 years for Percy."
"How is that even possible?"
"How have you survived without food or water?"
"How are you not insane?"
"Guys, quiet! I was going to tell you all, first I have no idea how it's possible, but it's the same for Tartarus, People think that time runs the same down there but it doesn't. When I got out of Tartarus I was 418 years old... now I'm 1018 years old. No one except you lot know this and it's going to stay that way. And I survived without food because after every time I was tortured, I had a bucket of water thrown on me so that I would heal and not die. Thirdly, I have no idea. After everything I've been through, I'm still sane. Yes, I have no doubt I will have nightmares again but apart from that, I'm normal." I explained.
"Percy, we need you to come to Olympus as soon as possible." A voice suddenly said from behind me.
"Hermes." I said with a nod and stood up. He walked over and gave me a hug. I think someone's stuck a sign on my back saying 'Free Hugs'
"I glad your safe." Hermes said. He then held out his arm. I turned to the Avenges and waved goodbye quickly saying I'll be back soon and then Hermes flashed us to Olympus.
An: IMPORTANT!
I'm really sorry guys!
I've tried to write the next chapter, but as soon as I leave the editing thing and go to click publish, it all gets wiped. I don't know why it's doing this but I will try to update ASAP.
Thanks for waiting!
