Percy POV.
We're finally going home! After two long, exasperating months (I know, big words for a seaweed brain like me, but today's a special day) of preparing for war. Probably the shortest amount of time I've EVER had to get prepare for something like that.
And now I get to go home. I get to see Nico and Thalia. I get to see the rest of the seven. I get to see Grover and Paul. But the person I missed the most was my mom. I missed waking up to the smell of her delicious blue pancakes. Or the taste of her ever so famous blue chocolate chip cookies. I missed her smile most of all. The smile that I've seen throughout my childhood but I can seem to get enough of its warmth.
You know what makes this ten times better though. Make a guess I'll wait.
THAT I GET TO SHOW TEAM AVATAR! Did you make a correct guess. Well if you did a clap and a half to you (I've got to stop watch nerdy stuff with Annabeth). Well a couple days before Sozin's Comet passed, (that's what it's called right?), Sokka said he didn't know what the little mermaid was!
I know it's unheard of. To make matters worse he didn't know what a mermaid was! I'm related to menfolk, I'm their prince for crying out loud! He has to meet them. Then hell watch the little mermaid. And finding Nemo and finding Dory. And I wonder if we found show them the camps. That would be cool!
So we're now in the boat that Hesphatus made so that we got get home. Sadly, we couldn't bring the flying Bison, but we did bring the flying lemur. I was steering the boat to the south. I really didn't get any directions, so it's not my fault if we get lost. "It's going to be night soon. When we wake up we should be at the beach by Camp Half-Blood. I have first watch." I shouted to the small crew. Everyone trekked to their beds. I looked up at the sky, scanning it for The Huntress. I began to talk to my old friend. I told her about my journeys and the latest Zeus Drama (it's a show on Hesphatus Tv).
I told her that Bob says hello. I told her that we miss her, especially the Hunters. I told her how Thalia's doing fine. I even told her some of my jokes. Soon it was time for me to wake up Zuko for his watch. I made my way to his door and knocked. He opened the door. I nodded at him and went to my room, collapsing on the bed next to Annabeth, drifting off into unpleasant memories.
~~~~Dreamland~~~~~~
I was standing on Olympus. Annabeth was on the other side of the room. Grover was knocked out. Kronos and I were staring at each other. Ethan was between Annabeth and I. Everything was quite, the tension so thick, Kronos' sythe couldn't cut through it. Then Grover got up and said in a voice that wasn't his' "GONE! GONE! THEIR ALL GONE! BECAUSE OF YOU! BIANCA, ZOË, CHARLES, MICHEAL, SILENA, ETHAN AND LUKE!" His words kept replaying until the scene changed.
I was on the battlefield. Bodies of campers lay on the grass like flies. I saw in slow motion as Octavian flew into the sky. I painfully watched as Leo said farewell to Jason and Piper. I know Leo's alive, but what if he wasn't? It would have been my fault he died. I knew that he was broken before everyone else did. I knew he felt like the seventh wheel. I should have known he would think of his life as worthless.
Gaea turned her head and looked at me. "It's your fault. You couldn't save him. You couldn't save Drew, Lou Ellen, Chris or Dakota. You couldn't save Bob or Damasan. You can't even save yourself. Your weak. You depend on people to be strong. The only reason you're alive is because of that daughter of Athena. She took the poison daggar for you, she told you how to stop Kronos, she told you how to stop a lot of monsters that would've killed you. Your useless without her. Useless." Gaea hissed. Her last word rang in my ears. Useless. Everyone's deaths played over and over again. I couldn't stop it. I'm useless.
Sokka POV.
I woke up to screaming. It was Percy. I realised he woke up everyone. I also realised that the ocean wasn't happy tonight. Or was it early in the morning? I don't know. Annabeth woke up from next to him. I heard her whisper things to him like, 'it's okay. We're safe' or, 'we're going home.' Whatever she said though, it worked. The ocean started calming down and the blood curdling screams stopped. Percy opened his eyes and smiled at us sheepishly.
"Sorry guys." He apollogised. "It's okay, Perce. We all get nightmares." Katara told him. No one knew what to say after that. So no one did. Leading to a awkward silence. I could hear the waves against the boat, which was barely noticeable.
It's not as if we weren't gonna have to wake up.
"I can sense land." Toph announced, breaking the awkward silence. Everyone looked ahead. We saw a beach off in the distance. Suddenly, the boat spead up to meet the land. When we docked, the crew picked up our belongings and set foot on the ground. Percy then pressed a button on the side of the boat and it shrunk into a box. Percy and Annabeth then started walking through a forest.
In the distance, howls and hisses of creatures could be heard. Everytime they heard a sound from one of the creatures, Percy and Annabeth would seem more alert. Then out of the shadows a really large black dog apperared. It then looked at Percy with its beady red eyes. It jumped on him. I was about take out my sword when it started licking him. Licking him!
I'm not from around here but I'm pretty sure something like that, isn't friendly. "Stop it girl. I know you missed me, I missed you too. Was Nico taking good care of you?" Percy told the creature while getting up from the floor. I just stared at the giant dog. "This" Percy said while pointing to the dog, "is my pet hellhound, Mrs. O'Leary. The only friendly hellhound in existence. Any other hellhound would eat you for dinner. " Team Avatar stared at Mrs. Olarey in awe.
Soon, we started walking until we came to a clearing with Cabins everywhere and strawberry fields. Children were running from each other. Some were climbing a wall with lava flowing it. Lava! Some of them were fighting with such skill even Iroh or the white Loctus members would be shocked by. I saw some horses with wings. I also saw a dragon! I seriously thought they were extinct, now I find out there here. Where ever here is. "Where is this place?" Zuko asked, dumbfounded.
Percy just smirked at our faces. "This is Camp half blood."
