Chapter 11: Revelations Pt. 2

Vincent and Hope stared at me. Hope asked, "Are you sure?"

I nodded, "This looks exactly like Hercules. Plus, it would make sense. Why else would he have started killing now?"

Vincent cut in, "What the hell are you two talking about?"

I realized that Vincent didn't know about the Rebellion, so I explained, "Last year, Hercules led a rebellion against the gods. He had a lot of support from Greek monsters, and even some minor gods. After we defeated him, we tried to find the identities of some of his supporters, but we couldn't find all of them. It seems that Lycaon was one of those supporters that we never identified."

Vincent's eyes widened, "Hercules? As in the Hercules?"

I nodded.

"But why would he lead a rebellion?"

I explained, "He was mad at the Olympians because they offered to make me an Olympian after I became a god."

Vincent then asked, "How is he even alive to lead a rebellion?"

I replied, "He became a minor god after he died. He was tasked with guarding the entrance to the Mediterranean Sea."

"Oh."

"Anyways," I said, "We need to tell the Olympians about Lycaon. Now."

Hope and Vincent nodded as I placed my hand on Vincent's shoulder, and locked hands with Hope, before vapor traveling us all to Olympus.

When we got there, I asked Hestia to call an emergency meeting. Once all the gods had arrived, Zeus asked me, "Why have you asked Hestia to call us here, Perseus?"

"Percy," I corrected.

I then announced, "Vincent, Hope, and I have discovered who is behind the killings."

I paused, letting the suspense build. "Lycaon is the killer."

The gods gasped. My dad asked, "Are you sure, son?"

I nodded, "There is a book that Vincent found in Athena's library that details a story about him. In it, he kills someone, and the way that person is killed is identical to the way supernaturals are being killed."

"We also believe that Lycaon was a member of Hercules's rebellion last year," I added.

As soon as I said that, the gods started to look at each other, probably having a mental conversation with each other.

After a couple of minutes, Zeus said, "Lycaon is now Olympus's most wanted monster. The Supernaturals will be informed of this development shortl---"

Zeus was cut off by the doors of the Throne Room opening. Nico walked in and mumbled to himself, "I guess I don't need to call a meeting."

Nico made his way over to us and stood right next to me and Hope. He gestured to Hope, Vincent, and me and asked, "What are you doing here?"

I said, "We've learned that Lycaon is behind all the killings."

Nico's eyes widened, "Really?"

Hope nodded, "What are you doing here, Nico?"

Nico looked at the gods and said, "There's been another killing. In a forest in Maine."

Zeus asked, "How long has the victim been dead?"

"Minutes," Nico replied.

Zeus then said, "Lycaon and/or his pack may still be in the area. I want you four to go look for anything that may tell us where Lycaon is."

I looked at Nico and said, "You take Vincent, and I'll take Hope."

He nodded as I grabbed Hope's hand and vapor traveled us to Maine.

We appeared about 20 feet from the body. This time, it was a female witch, impaled on a large and thick tree branch, and she was hanging about a foot or so from the ground. She looked pretty young. Probably no more than a year or two older than Hope and I.

I looked at Hope, Nico, and Vincent and said, "These killings need to stop."

I then made my way over to the body. There wasn't anything about the scene that stood out to me. It looked just like the others.

Suddenly, I heard a twig snap and a growl. I turned around, but not before I was tackled to the ground by a black wolf.

It growled again as it opened its mouth. Before it could bite my face off, I grabbed its snout and its jaw with my hands. I used my godly strength to keep its mouth open until I kicked it off.

Hope quickly did a spell, putting the wolf to sleep. Once she was done, she asked, "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," I replied. "But I don't think that that'll be the only wolf we come across right now. We need to keep our guards up."

I uncapped Riptide while Nico took out his Stygian Iron sword.

"Perseus Jackson, I've heard so much about you." A voice said from the forest.

I quickly turned around, facing the direction I believed the voice to be coming from. It continued, coming from a different direction, "And, ah, Hope Mikaelson. The daughter of Niklaus Mikaelson. Your father had so much potential, young girl. But he let his emotions for you weaken him."

I could tell that Hope was fuming, and I wasn't even facing her. The voice then said, "It's hilarious that you think you can beat me."

I looked at Nico and mouthed, "Lycaon's here.

I replied to Lycaon, "Hercules said the same thing."

"How dare you say that!" Lycaon retorted, "Hercules is all brawns. He has no smarts!"

Nico then spoke up, "If you think that we can't beat you, why don't you show yourself and prove it?"

Lycaon laughed, "If you insist. Wolves, attack!"

At that moment, a bunch of wolves came right at us from all sides. I looked at Nico and said, "You had to ask."

I raised Riptide and ran at a wolf. It lunged at me, but I sidestepped and tried to stab it. Keyword: tried. Riptide just went right through it.

"Shit," I muttered as I remembered that only silver could kill werewolves. Hold up. If silver only could kill them, could I still knock them out? I guess there's only one way to find out.

I capped Riptide and put it back in my pocket as the werewolf turned back around and lunged at me again.

I raised my fists and punched it as hard as I could in the face. The wolf flew back a couple of feet and landed on the ground unconscious.

As I mentally fist-pumped because my idea worked, another wolf jumped me from behind. Before the wolf could bite my face off, I used one of my new abilities to escape. I turned myself into water, kind of how that sand dude turned himself into sand in Spiderman 3. I was still in my human shape, arms, legs, and all, except I was made out of water.

I used my powers over water to split my body apart into small puddles and moved them out from under the wolf. I then brought the water back together, behind the wolf, into my human shape, before turning myself back into my normal human form.

The wolf was confused for a second, so I used that time to summon a lightning bolt. It struck the wolf, knocking it out cold.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw something that caught my attention. It was a large human-wolf hybrid. It wasn't your typical werewolf. This werewolf was human and wolf at the same. On its head was a crown, which only meant one thing. I was looking at Lycaon.

Using my blessing from Hermes, I sped over to him, and punch him as hard as I could. Lycaon flew back into a tree. As he got back up, his glowing red eyes looked directly at me. If I hadn't seen worse things, like what I saw in Tartarus, I would've gotten some chills. He laughed, "You can't kill me; I know you don't have any silver on you."

I replied, "Just because I can't kill you doesn't mean that I can't hurt you."

Lycaon's eyes widened as I ran at him. I went in for a punch to the face, but he quickly dodged out of the way and kicked me into the same tree I punched him into. I turned around, my back against the tree while Lycaon started punching me.

If It wasn't for my godly strength, I probably would have already been knocked out. In between two punches, I entered my water form. His next punch went straight through my face, and into the tree, the water wrapping around his arm. Lycaon quickly pulled his hand back and my face returned to its normal shape. I then returned to my normal form as I threw my own punch.

Lycaon stepped back, stunned by my blow. Not having enough time to think, I summoned a fireball and threw it at him. Surprisingly, Lycaon started screaming in pain. I guess fire can seriously hurt him. I lit my hand on fire and punched him in the face.

Lycaon fell back onto the ground as I extinguished the flame. Lycaon, still in pain, ordered, "Wolves, retreat!"

Two wolves jumped in between me and Lycaon, giving him enough time to get to his feet and run away. Once he was a few feet away, they followed suit.

I wanted to run after them, but I just didn't have the energy after all those punches I took.

After a couple of seconds, Vincent asked, "What the hell just happened?"

He, Nico, and Hope looked at me expectantly, "I don't know, but I think my fireballs can injure him."

Nico then said, "We need to get out of here."

I nodded. I grabbed Hope's hand and vapor traveled us back to Olympus.
