Okay, so this is a sort of song fic that just got stuck in my head for the past week and if I don't write it, I won't be able to focus on anything.

The song is called "Soldatino" by Paola Bennet. Seeing as my name is Arrisa, I DO NOT OWN THE SONG.

This takes place when Bianca's in the Underworld.

 I know what you see.

The darkness is high

And you're ten feet deep.

"You promised!" Nico glared at Percy. 

Why? Why couldn't he have saved his sister? Why did he let her die? He was supposed to be a hero. He was supposed to be perfect.

Nico unconsciously clutched the small statue in his hands. The statue that Bianca gave her life for.

"I shouldn't have trusted you." His voice broke. "You lied to me. The nightmares were right!"

But we've survived

More terrible monster than sleep

And you know I will be here to tell you to breathe

Nico threw the statue across the floor. "I hate you!" 

"She might be alive," Percy told him in a desperate voice. Nico didn't notice it though. Thoughts of Bianca, his sister--his dead sister--swam through his head. "I don't know for sure--"

"She's dead." Nico chose to ignore the pain in his throat as he spoke. He was trembling. He was mad but not at Percy. He was mad at himself. He saw her death yet, he chose to ignore the warning.

Tui sei il mio soldatino (You're my little soldier)

"Bianca!" A five-year old Nico ran towards his older sister and mother, Maria di Angelo. "Let's play! Let's play!" He started pulling Bianca's hand.

"Okay, okay." Bianca smiled down at her little brother. His cheeks were puffing out with exertion.

Non ti scordar di me (Don't forget me)

Their mother smiled down at them. Love basically radiating off her.

Stumbling lost,

Of ruling those 'neath your feet.

He threw one of his Mythomagic cards and watched it get consumed by flames."Useless," Nico muttered. "I can't believe I ever liked this stuff." He's too young to see the world that way...

Nico...what are you turning into?

Paths you've crossed, and trust you're trying to keep,

"I'm not on anyone's side. I'm not afraid!" Nico shouted at Annabeth. They were in Geryon's ranch.

"You should be," Annabeth said. "Your sister wouldn't want--"

"If you cared for my sister, you'd help me bring her back!"

"A soul for a soul?" Percy asked.

"Yes!"

"But if you didn't want my soul--"

Nico cut off Percy. "I'm not explaining anything to you." Tears threatened to leak out of his eyes; He blinked them away.

Listening for a voice that can't speak.

"And I will bring her back."

Ma nico mio caro

"Hello, Percy." Bianca smiled faintly.

Bianca...

Tui sei il mio soldatino (You're my little soldier)

"Bianca!" Nico stumbled forward.

"Hello, Nico. You've gotten so tall."

"Why didn't you answer me sooner? I've been trying for months!"

"I was hoping you would give up."

"Give up?" He felt something ache in his chest, right where his heart should be. "How can you say that? I'm trying to save you!"

"You must listen to me." Bianca's hand was outstretched as if to touch Nico's face. "Holding grudges is dangerous for a child of Hades. It is our fatal flaw. You have to forgive. You have to promise me this."

"Why are you helping him--" Referring to Percy "--and not me?" Nico screamed. He felt betrayed. He's been trying for so long and so hard just to save his sister and here she was telling him that his efforts were wasted. "It's not fair!"

"It's not Percy you're mad at Nico," She told him. "It's me."

"No." Nico denied.

"You're mad because I left you to become a Hunter of Artemis. You're mad because I died and left you alone. I'm sorry for that, Nico, I truly am. But you must overcome the anger. And stop blaming Percy for my choices. It will be your doom."

I just want my sister back...

"Good-bye, Nico," Bianca said. "I love you. remember what I said."

So you run

Nico was hailed as a hero for his efforts in the Second Titan War but that was not meant to be. He was ostracized once again for his lineage.

Through shadows you roam

He found the Roman Camp and became Pluto's ambassador.

Seams undone

But he slowly forgot the bonds he shared with other people.

By the love you thought you could own

It was wistful thinking that made him lose everything. He thought everything would turn out okay after the war. 

Of course, he was wrong.

But he's just one

He never really got a childhood.

Of many that you might call home

He never really had a real home.

And maybe someday, the bitter will fade from your bones

He missed his sister. He missed Bianca...
