CHapter 17- Sword Training

"I swear I have an explanation." Were the first words out of Percy's mouth before he even really knew it.

His wife just placed her hands on her hips and looked at him demanded than the Doctor and Rose walked in and she shifted in a non-angry way but her hands still on her hips and eyebrows raised for an explanation.

"I was showing our new friends around Olympus." Percy said his hands up in, 'I swear I'm innocent' fashion.

Annabeth just rolled her eyes and took her hands off her hips and put them out toward The Doctor, "Annabeth Jackson, this doofus wife." she said as she indicated toward Percy who looked like the news actually shocked him.

"The Doctor." The Doctor replied smoothly with a smile.

"Rose." Rose said as she also shook Annabeth's hand.

Annabeth turned toward her husband, "Go teach your daughter her lesson while I work on a few things. You know she's been looking forward to this lesson."

Percy put his hands up and said, "I'm going. I'm going, relax and take a breath. I swear one day your going to overwork yourself." Percy said smiling, no heat in his voice.

Annabeth smiled and pushed her husband's shoulder jokingly, "Says the man who is pretty much either working or hanging out with Loki and his friends." Annabeth rolling her eyes.

Percy mocked hurt but then it turned thoughtful, "That is actually very true." he said almost absently.

Annabeth just smiled and kissed her husband and said goodbye to The Doctor and Rose but had a feeling she'd see them again one day.

Percy watched his wife walk away with loving eyes, "You love her?" The Doctor questioned seeing the love-struck look in the God. This was new to him, most Greek Gods, or if you prefer Roman, mostly had sticks in their arses.

"We've been married for centuries and each day still feels like when we first started dating. Like it's all just a dream my mind has made to deal with the horrors that Demigods have or something like that." Percy said sighing as his wife was over the horizon of his eye.

"I shouldn't keep my daughter waiting." He apologize.

"Actually, meant to ask. What type of lesson is this?" Rose asked.

"Sword-Fighting. Every Demigod learns it when they reach age 8, sometimes later demanding how much they attract monsters." Percy explained.

The Doctor frowned at the kids learning sword-fighting and other things at that young of age but he's seen first hand the Greek monster, never tussle with a Hellhound with only a sonic screwdriver, and he couldn't imagine living a life like that.

"Mind if we join you. Love to get a taste of what Camp Half-Blood looks like." The Doctor said, "It's been ages since I seen it."

"Sure." Percy said smiling, "Do you want me to teleport us all there or would you prefer to take you...machine?" Percy asked

"My Tardis if you don't mind." The Doctor said

All Percy said was," No problem, assuming you already know where you're going I'm going to head down and get some things set up." Percy said and after The Doctor's confirmation nod and telling Rose to close her eyes he flashed down to Camp Half-Blood.

It was only few seconds after getting some dummies out of the way that he heard that screeching sound once again.

It attracted some of the campers attention but at Percy's wave of hand they went back to their normal business knowing it's not an enemy but a friend of their Director.

The Doctor strolled out of the Tardis with Rose and took a seat in the bleachers that were around the place, "So, where is this daughter I hear of?" The Doctor asked and just after saying it there was a familiar black hairs little girl came bounding down the steps, "Can we finally start now?" She asked with slight demanding tone.

Percy chuckled as he looked at his grey eyed daughter, "Got your sword?" Percy questioned in return.

Atlantia brightened and from her pocket retrieved a pen and clicked it. No it wasn't Riptide don't be silly.

It was his one of the three sets though, it's name Storm because it was a deep green almost black color, forged from Atlanta and even Tyson himself.

Percy pulled out his sword Riptide, "You know the drill." He said as they started to circle around each other.

They circled until Percy went to strike his daughter on her right side just above the hip. However, instead of meeting skin he was sent back by the sword.

He nodded his approval and they circled before Atlantia made her move at her father's right knee however he pushed her sword away with his and went to strike for her open left side.

Again, instead of hitting skin he hit the blade his daughter wielded. Percy smiled, his daughter was learning.

It was a good thing they were around the same height, Percy only couple feet taller because he was pretty much always in his 18 year old form.

They continued back and forth until Atlantia tried the disarming move that Luke had taught Percy on the first day at camp.

But, however, she failed and Percy grabbed her wrist as she tried to take the sword out of his hand, "You did it wrong." he said

Atlantia just sighed, "Why does this have to be so hard." She said frustrated.

Percy just smiled and Atlantia relaxed, "Atlantia you've been learning since you were 8. You're currently 11 now. You are doing better than some of the greats. Some it has taken longer to get where you are now. You're still at a young age give it time." Percy said to his daughter as he brushed her bangs off and out of her sweaty forehead.

He smiled, "How about this," he said getting near her eye level, "why don't you go clean up while I take care of Lucas and then us three and my new friends, if they want to join us, can go swimming in the lake?" Percy suggested.

Atlanta's eyes quickly dissipated of frustration and instead adopted a look of pure happiness and excitement. She squealed, hugged her dad, before going off toward her cabin to freshen up.

Knowing The Doctor and Rose were nearby to hear everything he said he looked toward them, "Do you want to join us?" Percy asked, "I could probably tell you more about Olympus and the gods if you want?" the last part directed toward The Doctor.

"That would be lovely. Come on Rose, Allons-y!" With that the Doctor and Rose took toward the Tardis to change into some swimwear while Percy just smiled and flashed on some beach shorts, a green T-Shirt, and a pair of shades to wear and went toward his cabin to get Lucas while Atlantia changed.
