Previously on PJD:

I slide down the wall next to him and see his eyelids wanting to close, but he keeps them open for me.

"You go to sleep Wise Girl, I'll keep watch. Don't worry I won't fall asleep," he whispers. I laugh a little before drifting off.

"Keep watch for what?" I mutter, but I don't hear his answer. I'm already gone.

Percy's POV

All night I've been awake, for my Wise Girl. Not knowing half of my life, doesn't do me any good. Not much to think about while Annabeth was sleeping. Only to wonder what it is like in the normal world.

Unless this is the normal world...

I groan, a new wave of pain spreading through my head, but some fresh memories replace the pain.

Images flash across my vision. Jason and Piper, Hazel and Frank, Nico, Thalia, Leo and Calypso, the dead other member is dauntless. Training. The deaths of Rachel and Luke.

The images stop and I realize I am hunched over on my knees and clutching my head. When did that happen...

Annabeth is leaning over me, worried. I just had to wake her up with my stupid memories.

"Percy are you-"

"It's fine. I'm fine. Don't worry about it, just more memories," I snap, a little frustrated with the constant pain. She flinches back with a hurt look.

"Maybe next time when your all on your knees in pain I'll just leave then," she mutters. Then I feel guilty and wrap my arms around the back of her shoulders.

"Sorry Wise Girl, just the vibes down here," I whisper in her ear.

"Yeah, I know," she says. We get up.

"I think we need another day of walking now," I say, trying not to groan.

Annabeth just nods and we start walking for hours. Until we hear a scream. Annabeth and I look at each other and nod once, then struggle to run down the tunnel. Each step sends pain through my head. We get to the first split in the tunnel. Two ways to go.

"I think-" Annabeth is cut off by another scream down the left tunnel.

"I think that answers our question," I whisper. Annabeth nods and we walk down the tunnel. The tunnel is much thinner than the last one, and we see a sharp turn up ahead. Another scream, closer. We get to the corner and Annabeth and I press ourselves against the wall and listen. Nothing for a couple moments, and then voices.

"I told you he doesn't have it!" A voice sobs. I recognize it, but I can't quite put a finger on it. It's changed a little bit.

"I told you. I. Don't. Care. He will come, and then he will die. Ethan failed, we saw them survive. I think if I'm correct..." a deep voice says, and then there's silence. I recognize that deep voice from school, he came in to visit us and inform us about the choosing ceremony before the aptitude test. Kronos, head of Erudite.

The silence is too long and then there's a scream. But it's Annabeth. Before I can do anything, she is snatched from around the corner. I stiffen, everything in my body screaming for me to go get her, but trying to make sure they don't know I'm here.

"Ah, we have a spy," the deep voice cooes. I resist the urge to spring out and wrap my hands around Kronos's neck. What was he even doing down here?

"Annabeth!" A voice cries. Then I realize it's my mother being tortured. I ball my fists and try to keep cool.

"Where's Percy?" Kronos asks Annabeth. I hear her sob, but there's something in her voice that I know it's fake. I smile when I realize what she's going to do.

"I asked you where is Percy?" He yells. Annabeth just sobs again and cries out something that makes the whole place go quiet. No sobs. And barley even breathing.

"Percy is dead!"

"No, no!" My mom breaks the silence and sobs not stopping.

"Shut up. He can't be dead. Impossible, he was with you. How did he die?" Kronos growls. I hear a shriek of pain and I wince. It was Annabeth.

"I won't tell you, you don't need to know," she says, and I hear a wince in her voice.

"If you don't tell me, this knife will go in your heart instead of your arm again," Kronos whispers, and I can barley hear.

"His stupid concussion killed him, okay?! He went to sleep and didn't wake up!" She screams. She's a really good actress. Then again, maybe these were her fears.

Then there's silence and a small sob from Annabeth. I hear something click, a gun. Then there's a loud slap and Kronos growls. I see a gun slide right in front of my feet. I slowly reach down to pick it up while listening to Annabeth and Kronos.

"Stupid girl, you don't think that I have extras?" Kronos laughs, evil lacing his voice.

"Leave her alone!" My mom cries. Now I have the gun, and it won't make noise since it's all ready to fire. I grin, something evil stirring inside me. I think of pulling the trigger over and over and over into Kronos's pathetic little-

"Percy, no need to mutter. You can say anything you want to my face," Kronos growls. I stiffen and ignoring my massive headache sprinting out of my hiding place and fire the gun twice. One hits Kronos's toe and the other goes into the wall of the small dark blue room.

We are in a underground place of Erudite headquarters. I try and pull the trigger again but nothing comes out. Kronos laughs, before chucking Annabeth against the wall. I hear a crack as she groans but she gets up, launching herself at Kronos but then steering away and cutting the ropes where my mom is tied to a chair, blood on her chest and arms.

Kronos looks down on his belt of weapons and realizes his knife is gone. He growls as Annabeth twirls it around her finger.

Before I know what is happening, Kronos spins around and in one smooth motion pulls out a small silver gun and fires at my chest. It hits me and it's not a bullet. It's a small smooth silver dart.

"What the-" I cry and then all my senses blur.

"What did you do?" Annabeth cries launching herself at Kronos and stabbing him in the side of his stomach. I barley hear his cry of pain before he fires the gun at Annabeth now.

"I stumble over to my mom who is crying. She cups my face in her hands and quickly whispers in my ear.

"I love you. Kronos knows your divergent, but not Annabeth. Keep her safe. I know you can escape. I love you Perseus." Then I collapse on the floor and the world fades, and the last thing I see is Kronos's evil grin.

All I have to say is...sorry?

Muah, luv y'all
