Previously on PJD:

Then that machine that was beeping starts going faster and faster. I start panicking.

"Chase, cosa sta succedendo?" I say quickly. The thing goes faster.

"Why is it going up so fast?" Chase cries out. What is?

"Something is wrong," someone says. Then the world blurs and images flash by faster than before. Faster than I would ever of thought possible. Chase, Chaos, Family

"Make it stop!" I cry out. And then a bright light engulfs me and all I hear is the beeping gone silent.

Celeste's POV

I am sitting in my bed, except it's my old room from when I was little in dauntless. Everything is exactly like we left it. Except that my vision seems brighter and everything seems to glow in a way. I walk around my old room and trace a finger on my dusty shelves, my desk, my training gear. I sigh and then jump when I hear a voice behind me.

"Hello, my rose," the voice says in Italian. I spin around and see who I was expecting. The only person who ever called me that. My mother. I run towards her and hug her tight.

"I missed you so much mother!" I cry into her black dauntless shirt. She strokes my hair and my back.

"Shush my rose, it's okay. I saw what Chaos did to you. What he really did," she whispers in Italian. That is all she knows how to speak. I cry harder into her shirt.

*flashback*

Chase dragged me through the halls and up the ladder. He threw me to the ground and punched me once.

"That  symbolizes the kill-what I did to your mother. You remember? You can remember it, don't be afraid Miss Bellissimo," he said. A memory surfaced and I tried to push it back down, but when I almost did he punched me again.

"That symbolizes the kill-what I did to your father," he says. Both memories are stuck in the front of my head and I can't get them out. Then he punched me twice harder in the stomach.

"And that is your symbolism for how I killed you brother and sister, how they were-" she starts but I cry out.

"Please stop! Please..." By this time the memories were clashing against each other, trying to fight their way into my real life now. But he punches me five times so the world spins. I feel powerless.

"And that was for the family of Chase, that I murdered. And how you couldn't save them. And how you won't be able to save Chase now."

*flashback over*

"Celeste, my dear, it is okay," a deep voice says. I look behind my mother to see my family, and Chase's. My hand flies to my mouth. I go and hug my father like never before.

"Daddy, I missed you," I cry.

"I missed you too dear," he says. Then I look over at my brother and sister. They were too young to die.

"Jacob, Maggie," I whisper. They both crush me in a hug and we all start crying. When we pull apart I see Chase's family all give me a nod. I nod back at them.

"I'm so sorry, this was all my fault," I whisper. My mother takes my hands and looks me right in the eyes.

"This is NOT your fault, my rose. Your father and I fled from Italy and got caught up in the faction experiment," she says in Italian. Experiment? What does she mean?

"We came into it and had you. That myth about being a xenos when you have two divergent parents is not true. Only if you are descended from one. Then we had your brother and sister, but they didn't turn out to be xenos. Only you. That's right my rose, I was descended from a xenos, my father was. And you are too, so you will have to proceed whatever you do with caution," my mother says.

"Wait, what?" I thought now that I was here with you all..?" I say. My mother shakes her head and smiles.

"The world seems to have decided that your worth enough to have another chance. And Chase is waiting for you, I don't think he would last without you in his life. I know how much you two love each other," she says. I nod sadly and the world starts fading.

"I love you all so much," I say. They fade from my sight and my vision clears. I am face up in a bed covered in flowers. There is someone above me with his eyes closed. Everyone has their eyes closed.

"Please, just...wherever you are right now Princessa, I love you so much. And..." Chase chokes up. He has my hand in his.

"I'm right here, and I love you too," I whisper. Chase stumbles back and looks at my open eyes.

"Holy shit," Leo says. Everyone else opens their  eyes. Chase just stares at me.

"Is this real? Am I dreaming?" Chase asks.

"No, it's real," Annabeth says. Then Chase wipes the silent tears from his face.

"Chase, it's okay. I'm-I'm all better. I've accepted that the past is the past and-" he cuts me off with a kiss and I kiss him back. Then we break apart.

"I'll never lose you again Princessa," Chase promises. I smile and he takes my hand and helps me off the bed. And that's when I realize how different I feel. Renewed almost, like all the past strength I had used up before is replaced. I stretch out my legs and arms.

"Is something wrong?" Chase asks.

"No, just...I think I just died and came back to life, but...I came back to life a new person," I try to explain. Everyone around us laughs.

"Because you just did," Percy says. And then Thalia has a slightly panicked look on her face.

"Guys, where's Nico?"
