"Eeeeeee so adorable!" She cries out. I laugh.

"Piper, chill," we hear a whisper behind us. I bolt around and see a sleepy Annabeth rubbing her eyes. I bring her into a kiss but she pulls away. She screams.

"PERCY!" She cries out and then pulls me into a kiss again. I smile while I'm kissing her. I'll never lose my wise girl.

It's been two days since the incident with me being shot, and dauntless treats it like nothing happened. Like I got shot didn't matter. There was no mystery to it. Some Erudite kid just came in and shot me.

It's perfectly okay, right?

I sigh and climb out of bed. We all get dressed and head up to the simulation room. Rachel greets us.

"Today we will be seeing two of your fears, not one. Let's take a look at your rankings now," she says. She points to a new ranking board.

7. Hazel

8. Piper

10. Silena

11. Octavian

Why was Nico last? He ranked so good in his fights! He must be really scared if something. And Octavian! He must be really afraid.

"We are only taking the top ten. Two of you will not be making dauntless. Now first up is Percy! We go in order by rank!"

I look over at Luke. He is fuming and glaring at Annabeth and I. I notice half of his face is purple. Probably from Piper.

I walk into the room and immediately sit down gripping the chair handles.

"I made you a drinkable serum," Rachel says, looking at me with pity, and holding up a cup of blue fluid.

"No." I say, glaring at her. She looks at me but picks up the needle. I flinch.

"Are you sure-"

"Yes," I growl. She puts the needle up to my neck, and inserts it. I close my eyes as the world goes black.

I'm outside dauntless headquarters. All the initiates and my friends are inside. But something different.

The building is in flames. Everything burning and my friends screaming. Annabeth's face red and everyone covered in fire, tortured. I scream out to them, but can do nothing. I try to move my feet, but nothing happens. I need to save them.

I cry out again, telling them to run. There's door right in front of them. If they weren't dying they may of been able to tell. I scream again, a tear making its way down my cheek. I can do nothing, and I am stuck in the place I am. Watching everyone I love die.

I scream in frustration, and feel something stirring inside me. I keep screaming to them. Come out! Get out! Run!

Then I remember. Somewhere deep in my mind remembers clear like daylight. It's like a dream. It is. I can do anything I want in a dream. I can fly, have super powers, do anything.

I remember all the dreams I used to have as a kid while I'm screaming. They were amazing. They were so real. Unlike this.

I lift up my hands, and look over at a lake. I remember the feeling I had in my dreams when I was little. How I could control water.

I focused and the whole lake rose into the air. It crashed into the building, dousing the flames. It takes a minute for the smoke to clear. I squint my eyes.

It's too late. Everyone's dead.
