"Piper, thanks. You saved my life," I said. "You sure have a way of making people do what you want," I joke. She smiles.

"No problem Perseus," she says. "Oh, right, I forgot, it's Percy now. We used to be in class together in the first grade," she says. I faintly remember.

"Piper McLean. With the dad, leader of Candor! I remember now!" I say. She sighs.

"Let's get back to the fight. I told Rachel I was going to the bathroom. Anyway, my fight is next. They're getting Annabeth cleaned up now," she says. I nod, and follow her back, not wanting to see Annabeth's condition.

And this was only the beginning.

I watched the last fight come to an end. I winced as Annabeth walked back into the room. She had a ice pack in her nose and the slightest limp. I only noticed because I was looking for it.

I rush over to her. She smiles at me. Why is she smiling?

"Are you okay Annabeth? I'm so sorry I just-" I start, but she puts a finger to my lip.

"Percy, its fine. It's what we're dauntless for. Plus, your a natural. I learned a lot from you," she said removing her finger from my lips.

"An Erudite, learning from a Candor?" I smirk, "That's a first."

"No Percy. It's a dauntless learning from a Dauntless," she says. I open my mouth to say something but Rachel interrupts.

"All right initiates! Go take a look at your rankings now!" Yells Rachel. We all scramble for the list.

The first thing I notice is that the list of initiates and dauntless horns are combined. I gulp and read down the list.

Those were who was in so far. Annabeth wasn't in it.

Last. She's dead last. I looked over and saw a frown on her face, and it turned into a determined expression. I look over at her and give her a sorry expression. She just nods, and resumes her expression.

"Now that you have checked out the lists, we will go to breakfast. Same place we had dinner! See you there!" She says. We all run out whooping and hollering, but I don't. I know I should be, but with my-with Annabeth in last, I just can't.

"Hey man, Percy is it? Come sit with us. We didn't think you'd have such a High ranking," says a boy with blond hair a electric blue eyes, who resembles Luke, but doesn't have the elfish features. He has a scar above is upper lip.

"Sure...um thanks?" I say, and sit down grabbing a muffin off the table. "Anyway, how'd you get that scar? A fight?"' I ask. He blushes a deep red.

"Yeah, something like that," he says. I see Frank, a large girl, a goth girl, and a goth boy all sitting around him and howling with laughter.

"A...a...fight with a....st-st-stap-ap-l-l-er," laughs the goth girl. They have certain similar features. Brother and sister probably.

"Excuse me, what?" I say.

"He had a fight with-" the girl starts, but Jason claps a hand over her mouth, and she bites down.

"Ah! Shut up Thalia!" He yells. She just laughs harder. When the laughing dies down from everyone, and I joined in a little, Thalia says something so quickly, I don't even know how I understood it.

"Jasontriedtoeatastapler," she says quickly.

Jason tried to eat a stapler???

Everyone starts laughing even harder, including me. Jason even laughs.

I look around and see Annabeth, Piper, Selena, and Hazel all sitting and talking at a table. I don't see Luke anywhere.

Suddenly, a screech echoes through the hall. It came from the bunker.

Everyone looks around and the hall falls to silent.

"Ahhhh! Help! Help!" Th scream gets louder. Is someone being murdered? I see Rachel and Ethan get up and sprint towards the bunker. I follow with Annabeth, Piper, Jason, and Frank on my heels.

We turn into the bunker, and the scent of blood fills my nose. I look down and Leo is on the ground, with a knife in his heart.

He is dead. And it wasn't a suicide.

Someone killed him. And I don't know who.

Hello!! I was listening to the song Mercy when I did the last part, and obviously no one had Mercy on Leo! You guys area probably gonna hate me but...maybe he's not dead? Hehehe...
