Dinner in the compound is the wildest thing I've ever seen. Shouting, yelling, and the occasional normal talking voice. I reach over the long table to grab a piece of chicken. I put it on my plate and look at Luke, who is sitting next to me.

"Hey, I think we should help each other there during initiation. You know, I can help you, you can help me, and we can make it together," he says to me. I smile. Making friends here is a good thing.

"Sure, that's great," I say to him. He smiles. He picks up his chicken and take a giant bite, and I do the same. I look over the table to see Annabeth cheating with Piper, the girl I recognized from Candor. They are laughing and having a good time.

"Alright! Everyone pay attention!" Says the mean pierced man from when I jumped off of the building into the compound.

"All of the initiates, please stand!" He yells, and it gets quiet as we all stand up. Everyone is staring at us.

"Now, welcome them!" He yells. Suddenly, the hall erupts in shouting and yelling, and I feel myself being lifted up in everyone's arms, and being passed around the hall. I smile, and whoop. I feel dauntless.

"Alright initiates. This is the board where we will keep track of your places. Right now, we have you ranked on where you jumped, first to last," Rachel says, pointing towards the board filed with names outside the hall where we had dinner.

"Now, we have had some...issues. We have had a small loss in our dauntless born, so we will be combining both groups, and choosing the top 12," says Rachel. Everyone gasps, and I hear a few sniffles.

"That's how it will be. So we start training to tomorrow morning. First section of initiation is physical fighting and training. If you can't do that, your not dauntless. And if you can't find your way back to the bunker to sleep right now, good luck tomorrow," she says. She shoos us away, and we all scramble up, and noise from our group of twelve fills the hall. I walk next to Annabeth, and Luke starts talking to me.

"So, I think we should get up a little early to get some training in, how bout that? If you don't wake up, I'll get you up," Luke whispers in my ear. I nod.

"Anyway, I think we'll make a great team, you and I. Well come in the top five, I'm telling you," he says to me. I smile. He has almost a look of hunger in his eyes, but not quite yet.

"I like the suits, anyway. It looks good on you!" He jokes. I laugh as we round the corner and get into the bunker. I climb into my bed, and realize sitting on the edge is a more baggy pair of sweat pants and t shirt, both black. I slip into them and get back into bed, shutting my eyes and waiting for tomorrow to come.
