Jason's POV

I kissed Piper like there was never going to be another day again. On the roof of dauntless headquarters, under the stars, was the perfect place. I needed to show her something.

"Pipes," I say, pulling away. She stares at me with her amazing color changing eyes, and I'm trapped in this moment.

"Yes Sparky?" She asks, using my new nickname ever since I electrocuted myself on our first date near some wire boxes by accident. We have been dating for over a month now. It was a secret, because Ethan and Rachel would freak if they found out.

Piper and I have had many secret meetings, but nothing like it was about to be.

"Grab my hand and shoulders," I instruct. Confused, she does so, and I step towards the edge.

"Jason what are you-" the rest is drowned out by a scream as we fall. It is then silent as she stares at me. Her eyes a mesmerizing and her face beautiful as ever. Her choppy hair blows with the wind all around her, and I feel like we are flying together.

"I love you Pipes!" I yell, pulling her into a kiss as we fall. We kiss until we hit the soft net. Piper breathes a sigh of relief. She wraps her arms around me and kisses me.

"I love you to Jason," she says. Suddenly, we hear a bang, and a scream down the hall that is next to us from where we fell.

We scramble out of the net, and run down the hall. Piper pulls out her knife, and I grab my gun. We enter a room to a scene like no other. A figure in black crouched over Luke.

Dead Luke.

Sorry for such the short chapter, but I couldn't afford to keep it going! I know how much u guys love cliffhangers though!!!
