CHAPTER 10- Dreams

"Right. And we were just frozen uselessly." Luke explained. "While they fought the idiot whom I don't know the name of."

"He didn't tell me his name." I said.

Chiron stared at us intently. The chaos Army were gathered around the Ping pong table in the rec.room.

Everyone in the army were all wearing cloaks so we probably looked like a bunch of Dementors gathered at meeting held my Voldemort.

Annabeth was with us, sitting opposite to me, and on her lap sat Arial who had practically refused to leave mine or Annabeth's sight. She was either clinging to Annabeth's neck or hugging my legs. Even if she hadn't been doing that I would've made sure she didn't leave my sight.

She had been through some pretty traumatising stuff for a five year old. The only traumatising thing normal kids her age would go through would be evil older siblings stealing their ice creams.

"Okay Pe-Omega." Chiron started then coughed awkwardly. "We need to hear the full story. Every little detail."

So I told them. The only thing I didn't tell them about was about Arial and the fact that a evil Guy had known my name.

"Where's the shard of glass?" Castor asked.

I took it out from my pocket and gave it to him.

He examined it with Michael looking over his shoulder. "Nothing special." Michael declared and gave it back to me. I returned it to my pocket where Riptide was.

"But-" Silena started but she was cut off by a bright light. When it faded away, there stood none other than Lord Chaos himself.

"Chaos?" I questioned.

"Omega." He nodded his head at me. "Our galaxies is under attack. I need a few of you to come back with me. Would that be okay?"

"Uh...yeah, sure." Lee said.

"Ethan, Michael, Lee and Castor? Your powers would come in handy with-"

I interrupted him. "Lord Chaos. A war is about to start here. We can't-"

"Omega, this is very important." Chaos continued. "If we do not win this war, you will have no home to return to."

"What if I don't want to come back?" I asked.

Chaos stared at me. "It will be your choice at the end. Your wish. But right now, we have a war to deal with."

Castor, Ethan, Michael and Lee got up with a groan as if this was so etching of equivalence to some stupid homework.

"And Omega, one more thing." Chaos said.

"What?"

"To help you in your war here, I would like you to get someone else onto the army. A demigod. From this camp." Preferably a girl, you know. He added in my mind. I could've sworn he winked. "One week to decide."

Then he flashed out with my friends as if it was no big deal.

"Daddy!" Arial squealed as she ran into our Chaos cabin.

Technically, no one other than the army could come in but I guess she could since she was my daughter...that still sounds really wierd...but also really good.

She tried to crawl her way up to my lap but fell down again on her butt with an oof. I laughed amd picked her up, setting her down on the sofa so that she was sandwitched between me and Luke.

Luke raised an eyebrow.

"Tell you later." I said.

Arial crosed her legs and started to poke Luke. She took his arm amd brought it to her eyes and examined it like a scientist would do to an interesting specimen.

"Who are you?" She asked dropping Luke's arm finally.

"Uh...Alpha." he said hesitantly.

"You are awesome."

Luke grinned victoriously at me.

"Your arm was interesting. All the teeny weeny hairs." Arial added.

He stared at her weirdly.

Arial yawned and curled up on my lap. "Are you sleepy?" I asked her.

She nodded. "But I don't want to sweep. I get nightmares when I sweep swometimes"

Luke looked worried. "What do you see?" He asked her gently.

"I swee a person with a big cloak. He's scawy." She whispered in fright. "And he keeps calling me and asking me to take his hand. I don't do it but he's too stwong and I feel like taking his hand." She mumbled and her eyes started to droop.

"Luke, make sure she doesn't sleep." I said and got up carefully.

Arial put her head on Luke's lap.

"What am I supposed to do?" Luke asked in panic.

"Play with her. I dunno. Get Annabeth."

"She'll kill me for even touching Arial." He shouted after me.

I just put my hood up and left the cabin.

Right outside the cabin, stood Annabeth. Her ams crossed, glare in place.

"Uh...hi." I mumbled nervously.

"Where's Arial?" She asked.

"She's inside with Lu-Alpha. She'll be fine." I answered her.

Annabeth started to panic. Her arms, fell to her side limply. "Is she asleep? She-"

"Hey, she's fine. I told Alpha to keep her awake. He's perfectly responsible with little kids." I assured her.

There was a crash inside the cabin. A big Noooo and a giggle.

Annabeth stared at me incredulously.

"Okay, look." I said. "I'm in a hurry so-"

"But Arial is-"

"Just come with me." I said, taking her hand in mine and walking towards the Hypnos cabin, dragging Annaneth behind me.

Ussually, she would've resisted or even try to punch me but today, she just dragged herself behind me, her hand still in mine. It was because she was still shaken up about yesterday.

Nobody was out at this time of the day so no one was there to see us holding hands, however insignificant that may be.

I fell into step beside her. "What did you see when- when he- yesterday, when the-"

"Percy." She whispered and for a moment, I thpugh she was adressing me but then I realised ahe was only taking about him. "Long ago, before he left we fell into Tartarus. And I saw us back at the doors of death, this time right when we were going to escape, stupid Tartarus pulled him back out and- and-"

She choked on a sob , a tear falling down her cheek. Instinctively, I pulled her closer toe and wrapped my arms around her comfortingly.

"It's okay. It's not what really happened remember? You escaped and-" I mumbled into her hair but she cut me off.

"But he's gone again. How do I know if he's alive?" She asked me helplessly.

"You know," I said thoughtfully trying to hold back my own tears. "I wasn't meant to tell you this but, I actually know him. Like a lot."

She looked up into my eyes which were hidden beneath my hood. Her own were beautiful, grey, and filled with hope.

"He's closer than you think. And he can't stop thinking about you." I whispered. "He can't come because his guardian doesn't let him. But when I sleep, he tells me everyday how much he loves you."

She buried her face in the crook of my neck and held on tighter, merely for support. "Oh gods. I- tell me this isn't an elaborate joke."

"Wouldn't dream of it." I said with a chuckle. She finally let go ofe and resorted to clutching my arm.

When we got to the hypnos cabin, we didn't even bother knocking on the door, knowing that no one will answer it.

Annabeth let go of my hand and sat down on one of the cosy armchairs.

I walked up to Clovis's bed. "Clovis! Clovis! Wake up."

He grunted in his sleep.

Annabeth stared at me. "How do you know his name?"

"Chaos made us learn everyone's names." I lied easily. "Clovis!"

"Huh!?" He sat bolt upright. "Yeah. I agree."

He saw me and scrambled up to his feet in surprise, so that he standinh on his bed in a ducked position so that his head doesn't bang on the bunk above.

"Whoa! Pe-" He started but then he seemed to realise something. He sat back down. "Omega? Really? Why not something cool like Water Boy or- or Seaweed Bra-" he caught sight of Annabeth. "I mean, Seaweed Brian like, your real name is Brian right and we used to call you Seaweed Brian when we were kids...so, what do you want."

Annabeth was looking at us suspiciously. She probably would've figured it out already but she was obviously not in any mood to think properly.

"I have no idea who this Brian is but how'd you know I was Omega?" I asked him.

"Dreams tell us a lot of things."  He said. "Now-" he yeawned suddenly. "What do you want?"

"Okay, so you jnow Arial?" I asked him.

"Yeah. Your-"

"Yeah! Yeah! Her!" I interrupted him. "Could you block her dreams?"

"All of it?"

"Yeah. You know why right?" I asked him.

"Yeah I know but I don't think I can do that. I'll try my best man." Clovis said.

"Okay. Thanks a lot Clovis. You can go back to sleep now." I said, clapping him on the shoulder.

His eyes lit up and he immediately fell back onto his bed and began to snore.
