So this is another one shot, but it's going to be a little different. Percy's mother just dies and he's going to be staying in the orphanage. This one might not have to much much of the avengers but it will have a different character! These oneshots are not going to all be related. Some, Percy might be a demigod, and in others he might be a mortal. So without any further ado, let's get started!

Kind of Percy/ 3rd person. Percy is about 6.
Percy just had to endure his mothers death and he was mortified. He was straight away put into an orphanage and he hated it. So much. When he got there, he barely eat, didn't talk, and barely even came out of his room. All of the workers tried to be gentle, but he was making them a little impatient. No kid has ever acted like that, and they know he's been through a lot, but still.

Percy was a little angry that the hey we're forcing him to come down to play time, because he didn't want to talk to anyone, or play with anything. He was walking down to he stairs with his small hand tucked in the worker, Sarah's' hand, and he didn't want to play. When Percy sat down, every kid kind of looked at and looked away, except one boy who looked to be about 14. He came and sat down next to Percy and made the first introduction.

"Hey kid, my name is Luke. What's yours?"

"Percy. " he mumbled quietly.

"Ok, that's progress. So what do you want to do, I gonna hang out with you."

Percy looked surprised. "Um... I kinda like to color."

"Oh, ok." Luke was happy that Percy was actually talking. "We'll do that. Come with me." Luke held out his hand and Percy hesitantly took it. "Ok, come with me buddy, I know where the coloring books and markers are." Percy followed him like a lost puppy and they sat down at a small table with markers and coloring books. "So, what do you want to draw." Percy shrugged and picked up a book, and started coloring a monkey all blue. "The monkey can't be blue!" Luke joked.

"Why not." Percy asked without looking up from his coloring.

"It's not natural." Percy shrugged and continued coloring.

As time went on, Percy and Luke became inseparable. Percy only talked to him, and everyone would wonder how he did it. Luke, without Percy noticing, would always keep him busy in his room on visiting days because he knew they would be all over Percy with his cute little chubby cheeks and sea green eyes.

But after about two months in the orphanage, Luke started to grow distant, and Percy heard the workers saying that he ran away. Percy was horribly heartbroken, and stopped eating again. It was a visiting day today, and the workers actually made Percy come down and sit with the rest of the kids.

Percy was minding his own business, away from the rest of the kids, when a man with blonde hair and blue eyes came over by him and sat down. Now that Percy noticed there was a lot more people here than usual, and some people that looked a little suspicious, like a girl with flaming red hair, and a man who kept wearing sunglasses even though he was inside.

"Hey, what's you're name, bud." The blonde haired man asked.

"Percy." He responded shortly.

"Mine's Steve." The man, now known as Steve said. Percy nodded. "So what do you like to do in your free time?" Steve asked a little awkwardly, but he still already liked the kid.

"Well, I used to play with my friend, Luke, all of the time, but now he's gone. I heard some of the workers say he ran away, but now that he's gone I sit in my room."

"Oh, ok. Well I'm sorry to hear about your friend, but do you hang out with anyone else?" Percy shook his head. "Ok, well I'm sorry, but do you want to meet my friends?" Percy perked up and nodded and Steve came back with the one lady with red hair, and sunglasses man. "Ok, Percy this is Natasha and Tony, and I live/work with them. Percy nodded at them but stayed quiet and looked down. Tony and Natasha didn't know what to say to the quiet boy so they stayed quiet. It was only quiet for a little bit because Steve talked again. "Ok well, Percy, we need to go, but we'll see you soon, alright?"

Percy looked up. "Do you have to leave?" Percy asked quietly so the other two couldn't hear him. When Steve heard him say that he knew he would be coming back in the very near future.

"We do, Percy, but we'll be back soon, right guys?" When the two friends were mentioned, they both nodded vigorously because they too already liked the boy, and they knew the rest of the team would too.

"Promise?"

"Promise." Before Steve could take another step, Percy ran up to him and gave him a short hug, and ran to, where Steve assumed, was his room. Steve then left the building, but first signed the papers and got the birth certificate for Percy.

The next morning Percy woke up and realized all of his things were in bags and the first thought he had was, 'invasion of space much?' but realized that must mean he was leaving. A surge of hope went through him, and he ran down the stairs and saw Sarah and Steve talking together. Percy made himself known and Sarah walked over to him.

"Morning, Percy. Steve's here to take you to your new home, but only if you want to." Percy nodded his head quickly and went and stood next to Steve, and Steve put his hand on Percy's shoulder. "Well, if that's the case, you can go get your stuff, and then go home with Steve." Before she even finished, Percy was already running up the stairs to grab his stuff, and came back in less than a minute. Percy then went to stand next to Steve and grabbed his hand.

"Ok, buddy, let's go home."
