Recap:

She walked back towards Omega who was then staring straight at her. She stopped right in front of him. "Now, Omega, let's see who you really are."

Both campers and soldiers alike blinked at the scene unfolding in front of them. The Elite Warriors thought that after Annabeth sauntered toward their powerful leader, Omega would've at least tried to stop her. But much to their surprise he didn't even flinch when she reached for his hood. Instead, he just stood there.

That was it. Omega's cover was about to be blown.

As the hood was ripped off, everyone surrounding them had mixed emotions. Some showed fear. Some showed confusion. Some showed anger and resentment. The soldiers shared looks of utter confusion and disbelief among themselves. Why did this happen? Why had no one else step up? Why did he have to show his face?

No one knew what to do. Annabeth was no exception. She just stood there staring at his face. A flurry of emotions swept through her face in an instant. Tears started freely rolling down her face. She couldn't believe he was standing in front of her. He was this close to her. He was alive.

But one man was devoid of any single emotion. He had his mouth set in a firm line. His eyes unblinking. He took everything that has passed within last few minutes. He stared straight ahead, his gaze as hard as steel.

He only faltered for a moment when he felt a warm hand wrap around his arm. He forced himself to turn away and looked at her with eyes full of guilt. He could've prevented all of this. This could have been avoided.

"Zoe..." His voice barely making a sound.

She tightened her grip around his arm. "It had to be done."

"What do you suggest we do?" Zoe inquired her arms resting on top of the wooden table.

The room they were currently in had dull, gray walls. The only furniture was the small, rectangular table placed in the center of the small room. The only source of light came from a single light bulb dangling above it. The four top warriors of Chaos' army were seated around the table. This was the only place where the warriors could discuss in private without needing to worry about anyone eavesdropping.

The one with his arms crossed grunted. "There's only one thing we can do." He looked at each of them in the eye. "And we all know it.."

Another one leaned forward. "Luke, you can't be serious." He looked at the other two. "This is very dangerous. We might as well be selling out ourselves. The enemy--"

"Jason's right," The only girl looked down. "We don't really have a choice here. If that does happen..." She trailed off her gaze landing on the last one in their group of four. The most powerful one. The leader. "But, it's not my choice to decide."

Percy slowly stood up from his seat with grace that can only be acquired through experience and walked over to the door. "I don't want to see my comrades in trouble." He rested his hand on the door knob. "If it allows us to save more people...then so be it." He twisted the door knob and turned around his eyes meeting each one. "But is there anyone who would be willing to do such thing?" He left the room without another word.

The three warriors left in the room made a silent agreement that night.

They would do everything in their power to keep their captain's identity a secret.

Annabeth kept staring at the figure in front of her and only one word--one name, escaped her lips.

"Luke."

A/N:

This is just a short chapter but I've got something bigger in mind. Don't worry, the next chapter, I assure you, is longer than this one. It's been about three months since I last updated...And I'm sorry. I've just been quite busy and all...

I know most of you would like to kill me and I don't blame you. I seriously have a black void where my heart is supposed to be located. But to prove to you I'm not that bad. Here's a sneak peek of the next chapter.
