Eleven months after Katie and Travis got married, Katie gave birth to an adorable little girl named Helia. Helia has dark hair and eyes, but in her eyes is that mischevious thing that Connor and Travis both have. Some people call Helia "Lia". A year after Piper and Jason were married, Piper had Karrie. Karrie was like a mini Silena and Piper combined, but the only thing that didn't resemble Piper was her light blonde Jason hair. Karrie's real name was Karrissa. Rachel and Will had a cutie pie too- Julia. Julia was cute little girl that had Rachel's eyes, mouth, and nose, but Will's hair (thank the Gods).

Anyway, today, the girls were having their first ever playdate. While the guys watched football, since it was football season, we moms were going to take the girls, Sophia, Helia, Karrissa, and Julia, to a cute playclub that we reserved for the day. Sophia and I pulled up to the place, and I realized that we were the first ones there. It made sense for most cases- Rachel was norammly late, and Piper was usually a minute or so late. The only one puzzling me was Katie. Katie, who was always the first person there by far. I unbuckled Sophia and we walked inside, checking in with a lady at the front desk named Carmen. Carmen escorted us to our playroom, where I found Katie and Helia playing. "Hey, Katie!" I said as we ran to each other to give some hugs. We hadn't seen each other in a while, and I really missed seeing her. "Lia, say hi." Katie said calmly. She took her hands and Helia began to walk a little unsteadily. Sophia and I did that too. I took her out of the stroller and she cralwed over to Lia, sitting down next to her. They began to talk in their baby language, the eleven month old version, of course. "Gentle." Katie and I warned in unison. "Hi guys!" said Piper. She took Karrie out of her stroller and we gave each other hugs and kisses. Karrie, like Sophia, crawled over to the little group and began to talk with them. Karrie was three months younger than Lia and Soph, but she held out well. "Now we just wait for Rach." Katie said as we sat down a a picnic table. We watched the babies intently, occaisonally getting up to prevent a major mishap. I took a sip of my coffee. When I opened my eyes, I saw Sophia trying to climb a rope ladder and freaked out. Piper laughed. "She's got some mighty big shoes to fill." She stated jokingly, and Katie started laughing like crazy even though it wasn't that funny and she was usually pretty level headed. We all had our moments. Juniper called once, saying that she was excited to start joining us when she had her baby. Juniper was three months along. The girls all live in New York state. I mean, we would've invited Hazel, but they live back in Corte Madera. Clairisse and Chris didn't have any kids, and neither did Reyna and Jake. It seemed that a lot of our good friends as kids got married, and some even started familes. Around ten thirty, forty five minutes after we arrived, Rachel arrived, looking frazzled and stressed. "Hello ladies," she said as she sighed, " and good morning. Ish." She plopped ten month old Julia next to the others.

I looked at the girls outfits: Katie wore a simple tunic top and skinny jeans, and a long necklacce with golden daisys all over it- a gift from Connor, I suspected. Piper wore a knee length purple dress and flats, something that she wears more often now than back when we were sixteen. Rachel wore a knee length skirt and a blouse with heels, which looked pretty darn good on her. I wore a button down long sleeve shirt and jeans, a usual thing for me. We watched our babies closely, sometimes even recording their chats and video taping their cute moments, This sure was a Baby Playdate.
