A Brunette and A Blonde With An Inseparable Bond
Percie POV
"You what?!" I finally spluttered out.
"We were twins." Briel stated.
"What about your second life?" I asked.
"We'll get to that." Mik waved his hand dismissively.
"Anyway, you can also reincarnate as a different gender. Scared the Hades out of me when I got old enough to realize that I was a boy in my second life and a girl in my first." Briel commented.
"Wait, you were a girl in your first life?" I asked.
"We both were. Twin sisters but not identical."
Briel smiled. "What was that phrase that Father used to say around us?"
The two looked at each other and began to recite.
"A brunette and a blonde,
an inseparable bond.
Sisters forever,
for worse or for better.
Friends to the end,
the cracks will all mend,
two girls that are linked,
their lives always synced."
I stared at them. "Were you always demigods?"
"No. Well, kind of..." Mik frowned.
"What does that mean?"
"In our second life we were partial legacies." Briel explained.
"Legacies?"
"I'll explain that in a second too." Mik said.
"First we were twin daughters of Hecate. I was older by a few minutes. We were phenomenal magicians and quite the pranksters. I was blonde, like now, with waist length hair. Mik, his name was Megan Porter that time, had short brown-red hair."
"His name was Gabi Porter." Mik put in.
I flinched involuntarily.
"Percie, you okay?" Briel asked.
I shrugged, trying to play it off.
"Bad experience with a Gabriela."
Mik nodded slowly. "Let's just skip over that then. Gabriel and I died in a car crash when a certain son of Koalemas t-boned a freaking bus with his truck."
"Koalemas?"
"Minor Greek goddess, main domain is stupidity." Briel said. "It's a true thing, I promise. As Mik said, Nicholas crashed his truck into a Coach bus at an intersection. I was in the front seat and Mik was in the back. Somehow the jerk managed to survive the crash though, he wasn't in the Underworld while we were there."
"In Elysium we heard rumors of a way to remember yourself when you went for rebirth. Briel and I were never big on staying in one place, so we decided to try it and both agreed that we'd take the risk of forgetting each other."
"But it worked." I said slowly.
"Yep. Gabi became Griffin Addison, a blond haired blue eyed son of a god and a demigod. Hermies and a son of Irias, god of rainbows and stuff. See, partial legacy." Mik explained.
"And you?" I asked.
"Michelle 'Mitch' Callan, daughter of Apolla and one of Enyah's kids. Enyah is Aries' brother, a minor god of war."
"So what happened in your second life?"
Mik smirked. "We got married."
"WHAT?!"
The two of them burst out laughing. "We really did. It was a way to make sure we stayed together. We never had a kid, but we adopted a little girl, Becky was her name. She was a daughter of Irias who had been abandoned at a young age."
"So you guys went from sisters to a married couple to best friends?" I asked slowly.
"Yep. We know each other better than anyone else will ever know anyone in their lives. We spent three whole lives together." Briel said with a grin.
"That's....really trippy." I finally muttered.
"Innit though?" Mik asked, his voice rising and taking on a British tone.
"What?" I frowned.
"Ignore him, he's imitating someone." Briel said dismissively.
"Okay..."
"So what's your quest?" Mik changed the subject suddenly.
"Well, I have to find Zeua's master bolt before the Drama Queen blows a fuse." We snickered at the joke and the nickname.
"So you're going for the glowstick?"
"Yep. Also, I think that Haden has my dad, so I'm going after him too."
Briel growled quietly. "Stupid goddess of the Underworld. Never liked her."
The ground trembled lightly, but didn't swallow Briel up for his statement.
"Well, good luck, Percie." Mik said, standing and stretching. He offered me his hand to stand up.
"Thanks." I said, taking it.
"C'mon, Briel, let's go talk to the Hecate kids." Mik said.
"Don't call me that." Briel snapped once again.
"Never gonna happen."
"Why are you going to the Hecate kids?" I asked.
"Because they have the magic and we have the ideas." Mik smirked mischiviously.
"You won't be here to see it, sorry." Briel apollogized.
"What are you gonna do?"
"A good magician never reveals her secrets."
And before I could ask another question, they ran off.
[A/N Ugh, Wattpad is being a baby, this may not work properly for a little while. I'm not sure how updating is going to be, forgive me if there's a lull.]
