Percy's POV

After we got the prophecy we thanked Rachel and headed back to the big house. Chiron said we should ask the gods once more and then head off. We iris messaged Hades and he told us something weird has been happening in Washington, heading north towards Alaska.

That was two days ago. We were currently in California, at Camp Jupiter to rest for a day or two, especially Nico cause he shadow traveled us everywhere. Jason was off busy with stuff while Hazel and Frank ran up to us with open arms. We gladly hugged them back and then I took Nico to the Pluto cabin and let him sleep. He fell asleep almost instantly and I laid next to him. I soon fell asleep.

The next morning we ate breakfast, said bye (not before sneaking up on Octavian and slapping him), and headed off. We traveled by land in case we ran into anything strange. In no time we were in Washington state and Nico fell to his knees. I caught him before he fell.

"That was a big jump... I took us to the US/Canadian border... I could only handle a bunch of little ones. That was too much..."

"Nico your ridiculous."

I lifted him up onto my back. He happily clung onto me and fell asleep. I had to support him with my arms so if anything came at us, Nico would probably have a bruised butt later on. I walked for a mile with him on my back and we came to a town. I nudged Nico and he slightly woke before I dropped him. He landed on his feet but lost his balance and fell onto me. I caught and steadied him. He glared at me but I just smiled. We walked to the town and a slung my bag over my back again, I had to carry it cause Nico clung there. I rented a car and we got some food, we were running low. I hopped back in the car with the food and Nico happily munched on his McDonald's. I started the car and we drove north. There had been strange things happening though. People going missing, historic figures popping up, a wild bull seen rampaging around the disapppering mysteriously. We were on the trail. We kept driving north and the same strange occurrences became more and more recent. We were really close now.

Eventually we were close to the border to Alaska. The land beyond the gods. We would get no help from them here. I remembered coming here so long ago with Hazel and Frank when we had to go to the Hubbard Glacier and retrieve the golden eagle. When I couldn't remember anything. Fucking Hera... I was jolted out into reality when Nico screamed at me to pay attention to the road. I apparently swerved to the other lane without noticing. Woops.

This is gonna be fun.
