Nico's POV

I made a very stupid mistake. After Percy left me in that tree, I gathered enough energy to shadow travel and imagined the clearing. But noooo.... I just had to appear in front of the things we needed to kill. Great. They grabbed me, tied my hands, and held a (SHOCKER) knife at my neck. Percy was frozen. I was shaking in terror. The other 3 boys were freaking out. The thing holding me spoke.

"Make the water go away, son of Poseidon or we will not hesitate to kill him."

I tensed up. Percy made the water evaporate.

"Give us your sword."

He threw the pen at them. He took a step back.

"Percy..." I said as I felt the blade push down harder. "Run away."

"Never."

I sighed and let the tears roll out.

"I-im so-sorry..." I sobbed.

"Its ok. I'll get you out ok. I promise."

I promised her I would protect you.

I was choking back tears.

Then everything went black.

Percy's POV

I watched as they disappeared with Nico. They left Leo, Jason, and Frank though. I knew from the start it was a trap to get one of us. I ran to the guys and took the chains off. Leo and Jason were beat up, but Frank was a wreck. We got back to camp and got fixed up. Piper and Hazel came running.

"OMG WHERE WERE YOU GUYS?!?!"

"Well, I had to save their asses after they got kidnapped, Nico got taken, and then we trekked back here."

"What. NICO WAS TAKEN?" Hazel screamed at me.

"But I have an idea where he is."

"Where?" everyone asked.

"The Underworld."
