I'm not one to do Author's Notes, but I figured I should explain what the Open Novella Contest is and what the heck I'm writing about.

So I'm a bit late to the game, but I saw another author posting about entering this contest and figured I should give it a shot! Over the next 12 weeks I'll be writing at least 20,000 words on a whole new novella.

Some background: I'm a bit of an ambitious overachiever. For NaNoWriMo 2019 I finished at 128k words instead of the traditional 50k. (Lots of coffee helped) Since this is a novella, I'll shoot for 40k but I do have a job this semester to work around so we'll see what happens.

Alright, the good stuff. I will be writing a story based on this prompt:

PERCHANCE TO DREAM tells the tale of Joshua, the overworked prodigy, and Sabrina, the overlooked nobody, who have more in common than they think, especially when it comes to dreaming.
