I love poetry because

of the  Rhymes,  the riddles , its ring

for it is  just the things

from which a poem springs

I love poetry because

out comes our inner masterpiece

cowering mouths of hatred cease

and we learn beauty from the beast

l love poetry because

 it sets me free

there is no greater gift

Than being a Caribbean Gypsy

I love poetry because ,

it is sight through a bees eyes

being  sand in the Egyptian Nile

bright as a comet against the great sky

all the while I'm retaining who I am .

But l love poetry because

its a compilation of

all I have to say

and all what Life could be
