Putting on his fall jacket, Miyuki turned to his roommate and grinned

"Well then, I'll be away for the whole day today. I'll leave things to you"

"Yes, sure. Have fun on your date, Senpai"

"Hahaha, I will"

Miyuki put on his shoes, remembering the promise he did with (f/n). The day he had his jealousy rage on, in which it ended up with a misunderstanding on his side, (f/n) asked him if he could free his birthday since she wanted to have a date with Miyuki.

He immediately said yes since they didn't have class, and they only have free practice that day. He excitedly told (f/n) the time and place they would meet up, and asked (f/n) that he would lead the itinerary that day.

Miyuki excitedly head out, holding his phone, sending messages to (f/n). However, as he was about to leave the Seido dorm, Maezono, Kuramochi and Kominato were about to enter

"Are you going somewhere?" Maezono curiously asked with a loud voice

"Yeah, I'm going out with (f/n) today"

"But didn't you have a battery meeting today?" Kuramochi reminded him "Sawamura was mentioning about it this morning"

"Meeting?" Miyuki curiously asked then made a deep thought "Is that today? Not tomorrow?"

"Everyone already left to see coach in his office" Kominato informed him, and they could see how pale his face became

"Did you mix up the date?"

Miyuki got his phone out and immediately called (f/n) as he head towards Kataoka's office. He was surprised though that (f/n) immediately answered it

"Uhm, actually"

"You have a battery meeting?"

"How did you know?"

"You mentioned about it, and I think you mix up the dates. It's fine, let's move the meeting time after lunch."

"Let's meet up at lunch. Let's eat lunch in a nearby restaurant. Sorry, and thank you"

"Don't worry about it and just message me if you are on your way" 

The call ended and Miyuki couldn't help but sigh as he immediately ran towards the office. When he arrived, everyone was waiting for him.

"Ah! You are late, Cap! What are you doing?!" Sawamura greeted him with loud voice

"No, sorry. Am I that late?"

"It's fine. We'll talk about our practice game this coming weekend. It will be our last practice game before off season, so since it's off today, I want all the catchers and pitchers to talk to Watanabe and learn about their batters. Saturday will be a double headers. I'll announce who will take which school tonight. Also, Miyuki, I wanted you to talk to Maezono and Kuramochi to check the pitchers as well. Here's the data Watanabe gathered"

"Y-Yes sir"

"What's wrong, Cap? You don't have energy at all"

"No..." Miyuki gazed down then put his hands behind him "I'm sorry. I'll make sure to look all of them later today"

"Do you have any plans today, Miyuki?" Their club president, Oota, curiously asked

"Ah, yes. Well, today is my birthday and since I knew that it's our off today, I arranged a plan before hand."

"Is that so? Well, it's fine. You already are doing your duty as captain and catcher more than enough. Also, I forgot to make it clear, I am not planning on letting you play in full inning." Kataoka commented back then handed the data sheet to Ono instead "Then I'll just give this to you Ono"

"Eh?"

"Cap might get injured again, and it will be bad" Sawamura laughed agreed by Furuya

"Leave me alone"

"Well, even though you said plan it's just a date with your girlfriend, right?"

Miyuki laughed as he turned to the club's vice president, Takashima Rei

"Hahaha, am I found out? I promised her after all. And I know that it will affect my responsibilities as the captain-"

"It's fine. You are a high school student as well, so just enjoy your time as well. You need to reward your girlfriend for supporting you" Takashima told him "Then, where are you planning to bring her? Don't tell us in a batting center?"

"For today, I'll be a normal high school student. As much as possible, just for today, there would be no baseball related" Miyuki chuckled then turned to Kataoka "But if coach tells me that I can't then I'll tell (f/n) if we can reschedule it during off season"

"No need. You can go. We'll take things here on our own, it's your birthday so enjoy it. You may all leave"

They all excused themselves, and Miyuki hurriedly left to meet (f/n) at the station. He called her instead, and he was surprised that she wasn't answering so he sent a message that he was on his way.

Miyuki arrived at the station and there he saw his girlfriend with a kid, and two guys hitting on her.

"(f/n), sorry for the wait" Miyuki called her, making for the guys to look at him but back-up since Miyuki was glaring at them. Once the two guys left, he turned to the kid and then to (f/n) "any explanation?"

"Well, first of all, Yuuta, say hi to this big brother" (f/n) told the kid, but it just bowed down then hid behind (f/n) "just for two hours. Yuuta is my brother's son, he is 5 years old. They supposed to pick him up, but they needed to stay more to their appointment. He didn't want to stay in our house with the others so they insisted me to bring him. I told them that I couldn't, but Yuuta cried. So just for two hours, until his parents pick him up"

"Well, it can't be helped. He's here already. Well then, shall we eat lunch? Let see, the restaurant near here-"

"About that..."

"Is it delicious?" (f/n) asked Yuuta as the kid nodded, chewing the burger he ordered. For lunch, because Yuuta wanted to eat hamburger, they headed to the nearest fast food chain, and there eat their lunch. She then turned to Miyuki and smiled "Are you okay? Sorry for this"

"I'm okay. Don't worry about it" Miyuki responded then turned to the kid, then wiped the sauce near his lips "Eat slowly, if you still want more, just tell us" the kid nodded, then lowered his gaze, moving closer to (f/n) 

"Don't be shy with him. He is a nice big brother. Also, you like baseball, right? This brother here plays baseball"

Yuuta's eyes immediately turned to Miyuki, but he doubted him since Miyuki grinned at him "Oi, don't look at me like that"

"Your response really makes other people doubt you." (f/n) chuckled then got a fry and fed Miyuki "will you be okay until night?"

"Yeah, somehow I am still unwanted there. They still wanted me not to play much."

"It's better to be safe than sorry after all. If you are not fully recovered then carelessly play, it will be hard for you."

"Well, I am fully recovered, the doctor already told me too" Miyuki sighed then sipped his iced tea "Anyways, where's the next plan? I mean, we can't go on my itinerary with Yuuta with us"

"Yuuta, where do you want to go next?"

"Hmmmmm..."

"Ahre, Miyuki and (L/n)" The two looked at the person who called them and they looked him with confused look "You couldn't remember me? Well, as expected from the two of you."

"Ah, Fujiwara" Miyuki pointed out but the person snapped his finger

"Close! Fujisaki! Fujisaki Wataru!" the tall guy with tanned skin, and undercut black hair sighed

"Is that really your name?"

"Miyuki, you don't change at all. I am surprised that you are still going out with a guy like him, (l/n). And you got a kid already?!" the guy named Fujisaki turned to (f/n), who was busy with Yuuta

"I also asked the same question just recently. Actually, I am surprised that we really are going out" she responded then turned to Fujisaki "I won't comment to what you said on the latter. Why are you here by the way?"

"I'm going to buy food then- ah! Perfect timing! Miyuki, do you have time after this?"

"None, we have things to do after"

"Don't say that. Well, just listen to me first"

"We're on a date, you know."

"With a kid?"

Miyuki sighed then looked at (f/n) then to Fujisaki "well, let's listen to what you will say."

"Actually, after here I'll go to a baseball field near Nagasaki High"

"Nagasaki high? Why?"

"They challenged us for a game so they could use the field. Well, it's a public field and anyone can use it, but no one could play there anymore because of them. Then they said that if there's a team win against them, they would stop going there."

"Are they from local neighborhood?" (f/n) curiously asked

"No, they are from Nagasaki High. Well, they have their own ground field, but I heard they were banned from using it. They are after all famous with rough play after all"

"Then do you want Kazuya to play with you so you can win?" (f/n) looked at Fujisaki, and saw him having a big smile "Kazuya can't"

"Eh?! Why?! Please! We need Miyuki!"

"No is no" she firmly stated then turned to Miyuki and noticed that he wanted to go "I'll tell Kataoka-kantoku"

"I understand. I also told them that no baseball today anyways" Miyuki chuckled then looked at Yuuta "What's wrong?"

"You are not going to play...?"

"I can't. Your aunt said no" And he received a death glare from (f/n). Yuuta looked at (f/n), and had a pleading look "the kid wants it"

"Yuuta, Kazuya can't. If he plays now, and then something happened again, it would be bad. I know it's off season, but, if he injured himself again, it would be bad."

"But, I'll be careful" Miyuki responded

"What if Kantoku heard it? You aren't allowed to play unofficial games, right?"

"Then, I'll give them a full report about the school we will be going against to this weekend." Miyuki stated then grinned "Nagasaki High is one of the schools we are going to go against with before off season"

(F/n) sighed in defeat then nodded "I understand. But not all inns. And if you ever hurt yourself again, I don't care anymore."

"Great! I'll just order then let's go" Fujisaki hurriedly left them, and Miyuki was smiling at her

"Stop looking at me like that. Because Yuuta wanted to watch baseball"

"I am jealous of you, Yuuta-kun"

"But nii-chan can really play baseball?"

"Yeah, if you have time, watch us in Koushien"

"K-koushien?!" Yuuta excitedly asked, and him who was aloof with Miyuki, suddenly moved place and talked baseball with him.

"Wow, baseball..." she sighed and let the the two talk

As they headed to meet Fujisaki's team, (f/n) remained silence since the three were endlessly talking about Baseball.

When they arrived to where the team was, everyone gasped and cheered seeing the presence of Miyuki.

"You sure are famous" (f/n) commented

"I wonder why?" Miyuki tilted his head then approached Fujisaki then he was introduced to the team

"Well, you know Miyuki Kazuya. He is actually my classmate from middle school. And that one there is (l/n) (f/n), his girlfriend and her nephew Yuuta-kun. Miyuki, these are the members of the team. Well, they are from different schools around here"

"Hello" Miyuki bowed down, followed by (f/n) and Yuuta

"You sure brought an amazing player to us, Fujisaki!" they gathered around Miyuki and talked to him, thanking him for accepting the invitation to help out.

After the introduction, and small explanation of what their positions, they headed to the ground field near Nagasaki high, and there they could see the Nagasaki high students, already preparing themselves in a rough play

"Kazuya... Are you really going to play..?" (f/n) worriedly asked then received a nod from him

"I know you are worried, but I won't push myself too much. If I can't handle them today, then I'll stop." Miyuki touched her cheeks and smile "I'll be okay"

"I heard that last time"

Miyuki chuckled then patted her head then Yuuta "Enjoy watching, though it will be a rough play. Enjoy it, okay?"

(f/n) sighed in defeat then silently excused herself with Yuuta, then headed to the bench stand.

Fujisaki lent a comfortable clothes to Miyuki, and told him that he would play the catcher, and 4th batter.

"Hahaha, I knew it." Miyuki laughed as he put on his body and head protector "So we'll defense first. Will you be okay?"

"Well, yeah, I'll leave the calling to you. But it's funny that we would be teaming up again, ever since middle school. You became someone out of our reach"

"Fujisaki, Miyuki-kun, we're starting" one of the players called them and they headed out to the field.

The game started, and as expected, Nagasaki high players were being rough, that they swing their bats, trying to hit the catcher, aiming for the others as well. However, they couldn't score much because they wanted to steal base, but Miyuki was fast enough to out them.

During offense inning, as expected, Miyuki hit a home run once, then the rest, he was walked off. Though as expected, they tried to hit him using the ball, but Miyuki was able to predict it, so he was able tl dodge them.

With Miyuki's surprise, the neighborhood team won because they weren't just playing for fun, but they do have talents.

"Congratulations! That was fun! And scary!" Yuuta excitedly ran towards Miyuki as they were still gathering inside the ground field.

"Did you enjoy it?" Miyuki curiously asked then turned towards (f/n), who was with Yuuta's parents. Miyuki bowed down towards them and greeted them "it's been a while, (brother's name)"

"Yeah, so you two are still going out. That's unexpected"

"Hahhaa...." Miyuki couldn't help but laugh dryly the turned to (f/n)

"They arrived here I think around 6th inning. Yuuta didn't want to go home yet after all" she approached him then handed a sports drink "otsukare, and congratulations for playing the whole game"

Once again, Miyuki laughed dryly, thanking her and accepting the sports drink

"Now, let's go Yuuta."

"Eh?! I wanted to be with (f/n)-neechan and Kazuya-niichan!"

"You can't. They are going somewhere that kids are not allowed to." (F/n)'s brother told him, but Yuuta didn't want to. He turned to Miyuki then sighed "do you have plan during off season? At least just for a day? Just for a day, hang out with Yuuta"

"Sure, let me know when"

"Okay then Yuuta, you will hang out with this brother next time. For now, let them enjoy this day"

In the end, Yuuta retreated, but asked Miyuki multiple times to play baseball with him next time.

As the two were finally left alone, Miyuki held her hand, and made a big wide smile "I'll just change clothes, then let's go"

"Even this day, baseball really comes in my way. But well" (f/n) laughed then wiped the sweat dripping on his neck "I still can't deny, you are really handsome when playing baseball. Go and change, so we can finally start this day"

"Wait me at the entrance then."

Not long after, Miyuki came out, following him behind was Fujisaki and two guys from the neighborhood team.

"They said they wanted to eat out." Miyuki pointed at Fujisaki 

"Sorry, but do that next time. We are going somewhere now." (F/n) immediately responded but Fujisaki and the other whined, however receiving a sharp gaze from (f/n) "seems like you are not yet done interrupting as today." She turned to Miyuki and sighed "if Kazuya likes to then go ahead. I'm going home"

As she was about to leave, Miyuki grabbed her head and laughed as he turned to Fujisaki "sorry, let's hang out next time"

"But you are very busy person, when is next time. (L/n), just an hour"

"I really can't today since it's my birthday, and it's our first time in a while to go out. A while ago, we accepted because of Yuuta, but I wanted to be with her today"

"Eh?! Today is your birthday!" The three shouted then Miyuki bowed down and excused themselves, from them

"Don't get mad now, we already left them" Miyuki told (f/n) as they arrived in a nearby park, and (f/n) was still pouting, but then Miyuki chuckled as he looked at her "It's actually cute though"

And with that comment of his, (f/n) gripped his hand tightly

"I know I was at fault too for bringing Yuuta, and because of that we met Fujisaki then these things happened" she sighed, still pouting "well, still it works for you since it's baseball"

"I told Rei-chan and the others that as much as possible today there would be no baseball. I planned things out, but in the end there's baseball. Oh well" Miyuki looked straight to her eyes then touched her cheeks with his other free hand "Actually, everything went well anyways. I also saw a side of you that I didn't know, plus seeing you looking after Yuuta makes me feel assured"

"Assured?"

"Yeah, when we have our own kid, you'll look after him then when he wants to watch me baseball, even though you don't like it, you will still do it because you also love me playing baseball" he responded then laughed seeing (f/n)'s face that was covered in red "ahre? Did I say something surprising?"

"Why are you spouting those words out of nowhere?!"

"Because I am certain that it will happen. That's still far ahead, but I don't see myself being with someone other than you." His words are certain, and the way he said it, (f/n) felt the same way. Miyuki made a quick kiss on her forehead and as he moved back "now, let's continue our date. As I said, I planned things out, but let's just wait for night. For now let's stroll around, and I am hungry again."

"Then wait me here and rest. I'll buy some snacks."

"I can't let you go on your own, especially with such outfit!" He agitatedly responded, making (f/n) confused what he meant "well" Miyuki looked at her from head to toe then gaze away in embarrassment "I didn't have right timing to compliment you, but you look so cute with that dress of yours"

(F/n) looked at herself wearing a (color) knee-length a-line scoop neck, with black stockings, black boots, and a light brown trench coat on top. She blushed from Miyuki's remarks and lightly punched him

"You sure know your words. Anyways, don't worry, I'll be fine. Girlfriend should go and boyfriend should wait."

(F/n) hurriedly left, clenching her chest as it was beating so fast from Miyuki's remarks. His words are echoing, and she couldn't help but love him more and more.

Miyuki stayed at the park, just sitting on the bench waiting for (f/n). However, 20 minutes has passed, and he was starting to worry, since she hadn't returned yet.

As he was about to go after her, he stopped and his face became pale, seeing four familiar faces

"Kazuya!"

"Tch"

"Oh, fancy meeting you here"

"Congratulations in winning the fall tournament."

Narumiya Mei, Shirakawa Katsuyuki, Kamiya Carlos, and Tadano Itsuki from Inashiro approached him

"Yo"

"What are you doing here?" Narumiya excitedly asked

"Well, I'm here with someone. How about Mei?"

"We are going to the nearby ground field here. I heard that some punks are hoarding the ground field" Carlos responded

"Nagasaki high?"

"Ohh, you heard of them! Ah I know, Kazuya, why don't you come with us?! It would be fun!"

"No, I am in the middle of date. Also-"

"Huh?! You are on a date?! Do you even have a girlfriend?" Shirakawa smirked in disbelief

"Well..." and with the right timing

"Kazuya, sorry for the wait- eh...?"

Miyuki gestured her to stand next to her, then he got the stuffs on her rigjr hand, then wrapped his free hand around her shoulder "let me introduced you my girlfriend, (l/n) (f/n). So we are in the middle of date since it's my birthday. Ah, also, about the Nagasaki high, we already won against them. The neighborhood team asked for my help against them."

"Eh? You had won against them already?!" Itsuki surprisingly asked but they turned to Narumiya who was looking at Miyuki in disbelief

"K-Kazuya... has a girlfriend?! And with this cutie?! He got a girlfriend before me?! He got a girlfriend before me?! What the heck are you doing in Seidou?!"

"What's your problem?!" Miyuki retorted and sighed "I'm going out with her even before entering Seidou. She's supporting me all this time." He grinned seeing Shirakawa's annoyed Reaction, then he held (f/n)'s hand and excused themselves "anyways, we'll go ahead now and enjoy the rest of the day. You four as well."

When the two were far from them already, Miyuki sighed then chuckled "ah, I hope there's no interruption anymore"

"Ah, now I remember those four. They were the ones from the school you fought with last summer. Ah, and the one who saved me a while ago"

Miyuki froze from what he heard then looked at her "saved you...?"

"Ah, there was a bit of trouble when I was lining up, but they helped me."

"Trouble... what trouble?"

"Ah, someone cut line then hit on me, but they helped me out."

Miyuki sighed and tightly gripped her hand "see, I should have went with you"

"All went well. Anyways, there's a bench over there. Let's go, so we can eat these."

Miyuki complied to what she said then they headed to the nearby bench.

The two ate their snacks, talking about what they should do later, but Miyuki told her that they should just go around the park then he would bring her somewhere later.

They also talked about what they would do during off season. Miyuki told her that he would help Sawamura with his pitches, then he said that they would be having winter training camp. They decided to meet after that, and would celebrate Christmas and go to shrine together on new year.

They planned to just walked around the park, but since they didn't notice the time while they were eating, Miyuki decided to go to the itinerary he had.

They rode trains, and (f/n) was asking where they were going, but Miyuki was telling her to just sit back and relax.

After two hours, the sky was already dark, and they took one last bus. When they arrived, (f/n) somehow knew where they were.

However, her eyes widened seeing the lights around her

"They had Illumination here now?!"

"Yeah, I was also surprised when I heard about it. Seems like, they are renovating our hometown"

"It's been a while since I have been here. Ever since my family also moved closer to Seidou, I haven't been here." (F/n) looked at Miyuki and tilted her head "so you wanted me to see this? Shouldn't I suprise you instead?"

"I wanted you to show this, but it's not here. Let's go"

The two walked for more than 15 minutes, and (f/n) knew well the road where they were heading.

And not long after, they arrived in a baseball field, but an abandoned one

"This..."

"They are going to remove this neighborhood field soon. Since there's not much of kids wanting to play."

"Eh... wait, this is the place you wanted to go?"

"Yeah. This is the place where I first met you after all. The place where you confessed to me." Miyuki smiled at her but taken aback when he saw her crying "why are you crying?!"

"You aren't going to break up with me here, right?"

"Why are you thinking about that?" Miyuki sighed as he wiped her tears "of course not. The opposite"

"Opposite?"

"Here, I first met you. You were so excited watching us, and after the game, even if you didn't know me, you talked to me, congratulated me, just your tension was so high. And ever since then, we became closer and became knowledgeable in baseball as well. You also confessed to me here, anticipating that you would be rejected, but we started going out. I didn't want other guys after all to have you, but I didn't know anything about that. It's been two years, and I just recently understand better what's that mean"

"Kazuya?"

Miyuki faced (f/n), held her both hands and made a big wide smile "I wanted to say that here after all, where everything started. I am glad that the person supporting me ever since is you, (f/n). Since then, and from now on, I wanted (f/n) to be the person beside me, supporting me, understanding me the best. I don't think anyone, aside you, can put on my selfishness for this long. We might fight and have problems, but I know we'll overcome them together. So here in this place, it's my turn. (F/n), I love you, we are still in high school, but I want to be with you for as long as I can live"

(F/n) couldn't help but cry more seeing the bashful face of Miyuki while saying those words. His words were clear and concise and only his voice could be heard there.

"Stop crying already" Miyuki embarrassingly told her as he wiped her tears

"It should be me who supposed to surprise you. Also, Kazuya is saying such words. I just couldn't believe it"

"Oi-!" Miyuki was about to retort but caught off guard as (f/n) wrapped her arms around waist, pulling him closer, tightly hugging him. Miyuki sighed, and hugged her back, wrapping his right arm around her waist, and his left hand caressing her hair

"I love you, Kazuya. I really do. I'll believe in your words, and let's be together from now on and as long as we can live"

"Thank you, (f/n)"

She moved back and made a big wide smile towards Miyuki, and the tears from her eyes glitter

"Happy Birthday, Kazuya!"

As a signal, Miyuki decreased the gap between them, and his lips conquered hers, in which she accepted as a sign of the words they exchanged that day.
