Chapter 20

Retribution's POV

"What do you want to talk about" she asked

I know your deepest desire, and I have gone through it her eyes widened and her mouth opened a little don't worry, me and Bonnie won't tell, but just so you know. Its not a very fun process; turning into a Pokemon, I know personally. I looked at Bonnie and she nodded in approval, and I could sense that she wanted to hear my full story as well.

You see back on my Earth, my original Earth I was a Hero. Battling monsters and creatures beyond your understandings, since the only monsters here are the very Pokemon that you keep as friends and pets. I was in two wars, and I had been subject to torture in both this world and that one. The first time was in my Earth, which is probably no more now that the main people in power have probably died and cast the Earth into eternal darkness, but it was during the second war when I had been captured along with my girlfriend, and though that was the worst type of physical torture that I had endured, it wasn't the worst. The worst was when I was disowned, thrown away, and stripped of everything that made me the person that everyone had looked up to.

I had been killed later on and thrown into this universe as a Pokemon, having to learn about your ways, battles, and life-styles. All of which are much better than what it was on the other Earth, I now consider this Earth as my home, and when I was captured and forced into doing things that I couldn't control. That was the worst feeling ever, but I got out of it and eventually Bonnie found me, helped me, and I became hers...until our deaths. Since I had nothing else to live for I felt like I needed a purpose other than just living on my own with no-one to look after or care for, and then Bonnie showed me the empty Poke-ball that she was saving for her last Pokemon that she was going to use in the Tournament, and everything snapped into place. This is my destiny, and nothing will destroy that.

I glared at her once more, Bonnie looked at me in scarce Pity, but strong protectiveness over me, and the gym leader looked at me in longing and then it faded to understanding and she nodded in agreement.

"As hard at it will be. I shall look for a new purpose, and change my lifelong dream" she said, and I saw that she meant it.

Good was all that I said before I poked the button on the front of my Poke-ball with my tail and was sucked into my Poke-ball. As I uncovered the Gym from the metal that I had encased it in and I looked through Bonnie's eyes as she thanked the gym leader once more and left the gym to see that the boy, Sean, sitting in a chair. He looked up to see Bonnie looking at him and he stood and came over.

"So how'd it go" he said and Bonnie nonchalantly showed him the badge, and he nodded and they left together and Bonnie started for the next gym, in Courmaline City. Luckily it was close, only a couple miles west, in which would've taken only a couple hours if I had been able to fly Bonnie there, but now with Sean traveling with her, it was probably going to take a couple days.

3rd POV

Bonnie and Sean walked through the path that lead West to Courmaline city, and Bonnie turned to Sean a little suspicious of what he was doing. She stopped and turned to be in-front of him.

"Where are you going" she said startling him

"To my next gym in Courmaline city" he said and this only got Bonnie's suspicions up higher.

I'll be assessing him as he talks Bonnie, so go ahead Retribution said as it looked through Bonnie's eyes.

"Why is the same gym that I'm going to last for the final badge your last gym as well?" Bonnie said suspiciously and Retribution saw that he was hiding something, but Retribution couldn't exactly pinpoint it unless he hinted at something, and he looked at her dumbly, but the 'I am hiding something' look didn't fade as he tried to state the obvious.

"Because I went to all of the other Gyms first" he said like it was obvious, and Bonnie wasn't convinced, but she let it go and Retribution told her that Sean was hiding something, but couldn't see what it was, didn't have a clue to if he was or wasn't a traitor trying to get underneath Bonnie's Trust to betray her in the end, or if it was about his past. Either way Retribution also told Bonnie not to interfere until later when it was closer to being revealed.

The rest of the day went by smoothly, and Bonnie climbed a tree and tied herself to it to sleep, Sean went onto the forest and set up a tent for the night. In the morning Sean opened his eyes to see Dedenne on his chest looking at him, and he screamed waking pretty much everything in the forest. Bonnie was already on her feet and waiting by the road for him to get his stuff together again, and then ten minutes later they were on their way to the next city. Bonnie get to the door first and scheduled her fight for an hour later, and Sean right after hers, and then Bonnie went into her bag and she saw the Poke-puff bag that she had left in there two days before.

Sorry Retribution she said and Retribution didn't mind.

It's fine, after all I don't need to eat much anyways he said and Bonnie sighed inwardly.

"I'm going to the city for some food for my Pokemon" Bonnie said and Sean got up as well.

"Then I'm going with you, mine need to be fed as well" he said and Bonnie wasn't surprised.

"No you aren't" Bonnie said "you have weeks-time materials to make your own Poke-puffs, plus the extra ones that can easily feed all of your Pokemon, so you can stay here, and don't you dare follow me or I'll have Tyrantrum step on you" she glared at him and he shivered at the direct threat. Bonnie turned and opened the door before taking off at her running speed, and she was at a Poke-puff store in a couple minutes. She went inside, took out the old Poke-puff bag, threw them away, and went up to the counter and ordered enough for all of her Pokemon, including Retribution to be full for half of the day, or at least the battle for her last gym badge.

"Here you go young lady" the lady behind the counter said and Bonnie handed her the Poke-coins needed to pay off the expenses but the lady just pushed them back "no you have a discount" she pointed at the necklace that As had given her for her tenth birthday.

"Wait what" Bonnie said now understanding why everything seemed to be free for her "just because I had a necklace doesn't mean I can skip out on the cost" Bonnie looked at the register to see that it didn't exist.

"What cost" the lady smiled, and Bonnie sighed and grabbed her Pokemon's Poke-puffs before heading out the door, and looking at the store, and the lady once last time before running off and into the forest. Once she was far enough, or felt like she was far enough in the forest. Bonnie stopped and everyone popped out of their Poke-balls, and Retribution scanned the miles around them for human heat-signatures and magic creatures to see that only Pokemon were near-by. Then Retribution came out of his ball as well and looked at the necklace.

"Why do you think it's so special" she said holding it up for Retribution to see. It was a normal looking necklace with a Poke-ball with a big A in the middle of it over what looked like a water-shuriken.

Maybe because it's the symbol of Ash and they recognize it as a reminder for what he did for them...saving the Kalos region from Lysander I mean Retribution said and Bonnie hummed in agreement, and then she took it off.

"Well if that's what's making me stand out, then it needs to go away" she said and Retribution smiled, she didn't like attention either, like him.

"Anyways" Bonnie said getting out the bag of Poke-puffs and putting them on a flat rock and the other Pokemon ate as much as they wanted. Retribution made the blue Poke-puffs levitate with his powers, from the pile and the bag, and he ate them as they floated over to where he was. Bonnie waited for a second and then Retribution did something that no-one expected. He looked at them all and a box appeared by all of them on the grass by the rock. Bonnie went over to it in curiosity and the other Pokemon watched as she opened it to reveal it to be full of more Poke-puffs.

"How'd you do that?" Bonnie asked closing the box and then it floated for a second and popped out of existence "and that?" everyone looked at Retribution expectantly, and it smiled.

I focused on the matter of the Poke-puffs and duplicated it, same as I had when I saw the different sizes of boxes in the Poke-puff store it said and I put them in the box, which is enchanted to never get old, stale, broken, battered, and it can fit into anything, but i just put it into the void for later. Since we don't need it at the moment, right? it looked at Bonnie and she shook her head 'no'.

Okay Retribution said and he jumped into a tree and lay on it letting his tail hang below him seemingly uselessly now what, you only have to defeat the next gym, and that's in another half hour, so what do we do in the mean-time...train?

"That's not a bad idea" Bonnie said "but we need to decide who's going to battle against Ramos' Gogoat, you know that fire beats leaf, but he'll have something up his sleeve that we'll probably not be expecting." Bonnie's Ninetails came up and the other Pokemon roared their approval as Ninetails lifted it's head high in acceptance.

"Okay, so it's decided, Ninetails. You'll battle his Gogoat" Bonnie said and for the rest of the half-hour they practices with getting Ninetails' status up and it's attacks and defenses checked.

Thanks for reading and I'm sorry for the long wait, and this is relaly no excuse, but I've been battling against a HUGE Writer's Block and I have NO IDEA how to GET RID OF IT, so if anyone can help. Please do.
