Annabeth's POV:

I thought I was being unreasonable but then I looked at Percy. I was an angel at that moment. Yes, you heard it right folks today is Zoe's first day of high school and Percy had officially gone mad.

"Maybe we can hold her back, or we can talk to the principal about letting some security guards follow her around school and attack any guy that looks at her." He said as we made breakfast.

"She was going to grow up eventually. Besides that, her older and very overprotective brother who happens to be like 6'5" and is a junior on the varsity football team is going to be watching over her like a hawk." I say trying to give him peace of mind.

"She's not wrong." Charlie said sitting at the counter.

"But you won't be with her the entire day. Who will watch her while your in class?" Percy asks thinking he has discovered a flaw to my son's "masterfull" plan.

"Freshmen snoops. J.V kids who are gladly willing to spy on Zoe. I would be concerned if they weren't terrified of the upper classmen." Charlie said smiling at the fact he instilled fear in the hearts if young teenage boys.

"Sounds fantastic." Percy says high fiving our son. I roll my eyes.

"finding new and creative ways to ruin my life I hear." Zoe says walking into the kitchen.

She was wearing a white sundress with a jean vest and brown boot heels. Her hairs was curled loosely with a waterfall braid.

"Aphrodite decided to add a little country to this years outfit I see."

"Yep" Zoe responded grabbing a pancake.

"Oh and Charlie if you make this first day of school anything but peachy I will hunt you down and kick your butt. Let's not forget I'm the one who's good at hand to hand combat in the house. I know where you live, Jackson." She says glaring at him. Zoe was sweet girl but her angry was a force to be reckoned with.

RJ and ELlie entered the front door disrupting this lovely little family moment.

"Uh oh, Zoe's glaring, so what did Charlie do?" Ellie asks.

"He's planning to ruin my relationship with boys early this year and it's concerning me." Zoe says giving Charlie one last look before her and Ellie head to the bus. RJ and Charlie soon follow.

I decided to rest for the remainder of the morning seeing as the twins didn't start school till next week and wouldn't be up for a couple hours

At 5:00 when cheerleading (yes Zoe was still doing that, she was good at gymnastics so..) and football were over Charlie and Zoe returned home with RJ and Ellie. CHarlie and ZOe marched right past me and headed upstairs to their rooms slamming the door. RJ and Ellie started to follow but I stopped them.

"Stop. Sit. Speak" I said pointing to the sofa.

"It all started during football practice. Zoe was over with the other girls trying out for cheerleading when this kid from our grade went over to talk to her. His name is Max. Anyway he walked over to Zoe and started talking to her, it was pretty obvious they were flirting. Charlie walked over and grabbed Max pulling him back to practice. It seemed like it ended there but then after practice when Zoe was waiting for Charlie, Max came up and started talking to her. What ZOe didn't know was that Charlie was listening, not his best move. He asked her to go out with him and before she could answer Charlie jumped in, grabbed Zoe, and started beating up Max. ZOe was screaming for him to stop but he wouldn't give. I finally pulled him up but Max was already in bad shape. Then he started yelling all this stuff about if anyone comes near Zoe he will hurt them and all of this stuff yada yada..." RJ trailed off.

"So pretty muc Charlie stupid, Zoe mad." Ellie summed up.

"Thank you Ellie. Alright well why don't you two head home and mentally prepare for tomorrow and I will go talk to ZOe." I say heading towards the stairs.

Once I reach Zoe's room I knock on the door.

"Honey, can I come in?"

"No" a muffled voice responds.

"Oh sweetheart the knock is only to be polite I'm coming in anyway I'm your mom we do whatever we want." I say walking in, closing the door behind me and sitting on the bed next to her. She was lying face done with her head stuffed in a pillow and under several blankets.

"Talk to me, Zoe." I say rubbing her back. She turns her head slightly.

"He actually found a new and creative way to embarrass me." She cries.

"I know it's hard. I was hoping your brother wouldn't be as bad as your dad. Guess it was false hope." I say trying to lighten the mood. It doesn't work.

"SO do you like this Max?" I ask.

"Ugh, Mom, I don't know I've only known him for a day. I mean I was going to say yes to him but  then CHarlie had to go be all stupid.I had a plan Mom and he screwed it up."

"Honey it's ok. You just have to talk to charlie and talk to Max. Tell him you like him. I'll talk to charlie for you also. Don't stress about this. It'll be ok."

"Thanks mom."

"How about you start your homework and then maybe you can go meet max somewhere."

"Really? That sounds great! Thanks mom!" And with that she jumped up and ran out the door.

I smiled. Oh wait my kid just ran away! I ran out the door and yelled her name. "ZOE!" She didn't hear me. Eh oh well I still have three more right?

Zoe's POV
I called Max on my phone.

"Hello? Zoe?"

"Hey max!"

"Ummmm hiiiii..."

"What's up?"

"Uh nothing?"

"Can we meet up?"

"Is your brother with you?"

I laughed. "Oh I see what's wrong. No he's not nor will I be speaking to him for awhile. I just want to apologize and maybe take you up on that date offer..."

"Yeah, yeah that sounds great! I would really like that."

"Cool. Ok I'll see Ya tomorrow."

"Yeah bye Zoe."

"Bye"
