Hi guys! Soo this is kind of a special chapter so instead of Annabeth's and Percy's POV it will be in the kids POV (only for this chapter) but because Annabeth and Percy Arn't at the movies.... Thanks hope you enjoy the chapter! ❤️❤️

Charlie's POV
We snuck into the theaters our hands filled with popcorn and candy. We filed up the stairs and into the last row at the top. I look down and saw Zoe and her friends about 6 or 7 rows in front of us. I had to hold back from yelling at her as I saw that she she was sitting next to Joey and then Maya was between Joey and Kyle. I don't know why I was so protective of her when it came to boys. I guess I just know how boys are and I don't want her to get hurt.

The movie started and we all sat back and watched it. About half way through I looked down and saw Joey do that stupid yawn arm thing and he put his arm around Zoe. Zoe giggled and moved closer to him in her seat. Next to me RJ squirmed a little in his seat. I was pretty sure he had a thing for my sister. I mean I had almost seen him kiss her. I just couldn't picture my best friend with my sister though. I mean a freshman and a seventh grader? weird.

Just then I saw something really weird happen. Joey then put his arm around Maya on the other side of him. She smiled at him and moved closer to him too. Both girls couldn't tell Joey had his arm around the other girl too. Was he seriously cheating on them at the same time without either knowing? I nudged Rj.

"Look dude. That kid's got his arm around both of them." I whispered.

Rj looked. "Ew your right! What are you gonna do?"

What was I gonna do? I wondered. Just then I martched down there. I tapped Joey on the shoulder. He quickly pulled his arms away.

Zoe groaned. "Charlie go away."

"Hi I'm Zoe's brother," I said staring him right in the eye. "I see exactly what your doing here."

His face turned pale.

"Charlie please goooooo." Zoe moaned.

I turned to Zoe. "Zo, Joeys got a thing for Maya too."

"What?" Both Maya and Zoe said.

"Yeah he had his arm around both of you."

Zoe stared at him. "Is this true?"

"No!" Joey said but his voice got all high so you could tell he was lying.

"I can't believe you!" She turned on her heel and walked down the aisle. Then she quickly spun around and walked back. Joey smiled.

But instead Zoe threw her popcorn in his face and then stormed out again.

If there's one thing my sister is best at its being dramatic.

I ran out to chase after her. I mean it was my fault anyway that she knew now. I was about to call her name when I noticed she was already sitting with another guy on a bench. Oh brother I groaned.

I looked a little closer to see who it was.  Rj was sitting next to Zoe handing her tissues. Zoe was talking and using big hand gestures and then more tears would come and then she would start yelling. I noticed Rj just sat through it all and didn't say a word. He just let her spill out all her problems. I never realized how patient Rj was for being so sarcastic.

I knew Zoe wasn't really sad and angry about Joey, but more that someone would be mean enough to cheat on her and her best friend and right out in the open like that. I looked over at the two of them and then saw Zoe rest her head on his shoulder. Rj gave an awkward look down at her and then kind of shrugged and then smiled. He started his arm around her and then pulled it back. Then he pulled it back out and put his arm around her.

It just looked so weird seeing the two of them. I walked over.

"Hey."

Rj scrambled to take his arm off of her.

"Hi."

Zoe also sat up.

"Hi Charlie."

"Zoe are you ok?" I asked.

"Yeah, yeah I'm fine. Rj helped."

"Oh."

We all stood there in awkward silence.

Then RJ's phone buzzed. "Oh my moms here." Rj said. "See you guys." He patted me on the back and left.

"Thanks a lot." Zoe said sarcastically and frowned at me.

"What did i do?" I asked innocently.

"I was having a great talk with Rj! And then you have to butt in!"

"A great talk? You were leaning on him and he had his arm around you!"

"So? Why do you care? It made me feel better! At least he came to comfort me!"

"Im sorry that I'm just trying to protect you!"

"From what Charlie?!"

People were staring to stare at us.

"Come on Zoe people are looking," I whispered.

"I want to know Charlie! What are you protecting me from!"

"Zo cut it out." I whispered a little louder.

"From boys?!"

"Please Zoe stop!"

"Or cause you think it's weird I like Rj?!"

"Zoe qui....wait a sec what did you say?"

"What?" She said staring at something behind us.

"You like Rj?"

"No! Who said that?"

"Zoe cmon I know you like him. Only an idiot wouldn't have figured it out by now."

"Fine yes I like Rj. But please don't tell him! What if he thinks of me as only a little sister? I don't want things to be awkward."

"Ok I won't tell him."

"Promise?"

"Promise."

"Thanks Charlie," she says smiling now.

"No prob little sis."

We walked out together not even bothering to finish the movie. Times like this were rare and deserve to be cherished.
