Percy's POV:

I woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of screams. Annabeth and I immediately jumped up and ran to the kids rooms. Zoe was up but wasn't hurt, Annabeth stayed to calm her down while I walked to Charlie's room.

There was Charlie in the arms of a monster I had never seen before. Charlie was struggling to reach for the "training" dagger we had given him. Even at 7 years old her knew what to do.

I was about to kill the monster when it suddenly disappeared, with Charlie. Annabeth ran into the room with Zoe in her arms.

"Where is he?" she asked.

"A monster took him," I said. I wanted to get him right away but we had no idea where the monster took him. I did know one thing though. A monster had my child, and I was going to get him back.

Still that Night...

It was the middle of the night but we got up and drove to Camp so we could go and talk to Chiron at Camp Half-Blood. Annabeth came too but was to paranoid to leave Zoe with a sitter so she brought her with us.

Once we arrived at camp we walked straight to the Big House. Chiron was sitting in his office looking through some book, but what surprised me was that Rachael was sitting next to him.

"Chiron, Rachael what are you doing here?" I asked.

"Percy, my boy, Annabeth, darling thank goodness you are okay. Rachael had some troubling visions about your family but you all are okay I see?" Chiron said.

"Actually that's why we are here. A monster took Charlie," Annabeth said.

"Charlie's gone, Aunt Rachael," Zoe said frowning. We weren't sure if she understood what was happening but I guess her 5 year old mind figured it out.

"I know sweetie, but we are positive we will get him back," Racheal said reassuringly.

"I know you want to find Charlie as fast as possible. I have bad news and good news. Bad news, I had a vision of him being taken to a cave. I think it is near the Grand Canyon. The monster is simply trying to kill him and Charlie is actually putting up a fight." she said.

"The good news?" I said.

"The monster is not part of some revenge plan or war it is simply just a monster trying to kill a demigod and your family happens to have the strongest scent," she said. I sighed slightly happy that my children weren't part of a great prophecy yet but I was also sad that if we did have the strongest scent this wouldn't be the last monster.

"So, is Blackjack still here?" I asked.

About ten minutes later Me, Annabeth, and Zoe were on Pegasus flying to the Grand Canyon to search for this cave. We had finally arrived and we were flying around trying to find some sign of a cave.

"Daddy, look" Zoe pointed to a small hole/cave right in front of us.

"Great lets land behind those trees," I said and we started heading towards it. Once we were at the opening I started walking forward sword in hand and Annabeth and Zoe behind me. I saw a small light ahead.

I walked closer and what I saw scared me. My son was tied up against the wall and the hideous monster was on the other side of the cave sleeping. We ran over to Charlie.

"Mommy....Daddy..." Charlie wheezed as we untied him.

"Oh gods look at the scratches on his neck," Annabeth said quickening her pace. Then we heard a bang. I turned around and saw the monster slowly getting up.

"Annabeth take Zoe and Charlie. I'll be out in a minute." I said but I doubt they heard me because of the loud screech the monster let out. I had finally gotten a good look at it. It was very tall and large. It was a grayish color and was ugly as Hades underwear. It had huge claws that looked like knives.

I slashed and stabbed at it with my sword when it shoved me back against the wall. Then I saw Charlie run in front of it and try to fight it. The next thing I saw terrified me. The monster stabbed Charlie in the stomach with one of it's huge claws. Charlie fell to the ground exhausted from the blow and hurt badly. Annabeth appeared from behind the monster jumping on its back. She stabbed it in the head. The monster began to lose its balance and I stabbed its heart. The monster turned to dust and Annabeth and I ran to Charlie.

He had his eyes open and his hand on top of his stomach holding his wound.

"Hey buddy you gonna be okay?" I said. Annabeth started stroking his hair mumbling what sounded like a prayer.

"Daddy..." Charlie whimpered. "Mommy...I...I...love you

"We love you too," Annabeth said tears running down her face. Charlie's breath started to get uneven and then stopped completely. I kneeled there completely shocked. My child was dead.

"My child is dead!" I yelled.

I stood up and walked to the end of the cave and started screaming at the gods.

"Really, I save the world for you so many times and this is how you repay me!" I screamed and thunder started rumbling.

"Go ahead make it rain! You've done more than enough already!" I fell to my knees and cried.

Annabeth sat there crying soaking herself and Charlie. I watched the tears roll off his pale face. Then I heard a gasp.

"Percy, come here," Annabeth said.

I slowly got up and turned towards my family. Annabeth had Charlie's head in her lap and Zoe was kneeling by his stomach. Zoe took Charlie's hands of his wound and replaced it with her own. I walked closer and kneeled down across from Zoe. Water started to spread all over Charlie's stomach and started to heal the wound completely. All of it was coming from Zoe's little hand.

I looked up at Zoe and saw her eyes closed in concentration. She took a deep breath and removed her hand from Charlie. His stomach completely clear of any wound. Charlie's eyes opened.

"Charlie, your okay." Annabeth said hugging him. I pulled Zoe into my arms and then wrapped my arms around Annabeth and Charlie.

"Zoe how did you do that?" I asked amazed at her powers. So far we knew Charlie had my powers completely, but Zoe could only breathe underwater, talk to horses and underwater sea creatures, and now she could heal people.

"Grandpa told me to," she said. I silently thanked Poseidon.

"I love you Zoe," Charlie said to his sister.

The world better watch out for the Jackson siblings. Together they are a force to be reckoned with.
