(Annabeth's POV)

I woke up early this morning to make breakfast and hide Charlie's Easter basket. I set out coffee cake, bacon, strawberries, Orange juice, and the hard boiled eggs Charlie decorated for me and Percy. Thalia was at Nico's apartment today for Easter. She was moving in to his place next week. I was really happy for them, things were going nicely in their new relationship. Percy came out a few minutes later and made a coffee, waking me from my day dream.

"Happy Easter Wise girl," he said giving me a kiss.

"Happy Easter Seaweed Brain," I said back to him.

Then I heard someone run down the stairs.

"Mommy! Daddy! Did the Easter Bunny come?" Charlie yelled sliding in on his footie pajamas.

"I don't know Charlie, you should go try to find your basket," Percy said.

Charlie immediately ran out of the kitchen and started searching. Percy and I started to relax but about 15 seconds later he came running into the kitchen holding his basket like a trophy.

"Now how did you find it so quick?" I said actually kinda concerned for my hiding skills.

"It was in the drying machine! Like it is every year!" He giggled.

Percy face palmed but then laughed and walked over to Charlie.

"What did the Easter Bunny get you bud?"

"Wellllll I got lots of candy and jelly beans and I got a pack of cars and a book about monsters! Thanks Easter Bunny! You were very nice this year!" He said grinning.

I smirked at Percy. After that we ate breakfast and got dressed. Charlie wanted to have an Easter Egg hunt outside so Percy got all the eggs and hid them outside considering I can barely walk to the dryer to hide an Easter basket. I sat with Charlie while he opened his new book.

"Ewwwwww what's that Mommy?" He said all grossed out.

"That darling, is called a minotaur. It is a half bull-half man monster. Your Daddy defeated that monster and still has the horn." Percy and I decided that even though he was only 3 it was never to early to show him what he was up against. After about 5 minutes Percy called Charlie outside.

"Unlike some of us here, I made it extra hard so we can have some Mommy Daddy alone time," he said smirking.

"Haha very funny," I said getting ready to snuggle in next to him. Or the best snuggling you can do with a balloon for a stomach.

Just as I was sitting down Charlie came running up.

"I found then!" Percy and I stared at each other.

"How many did you find?" Percy asked.

"Exactly 20 eggs!" He answered.

"How many did you hide?" I asked Percy.

"Exactly 20 eggs," he answered.

We turned to find Charlie sitting on the ground emptying the eggs to find quarters and dimes, jellybeans, and m&ms.

We did this about 20 more times with Percy and I timing him to see how fast he could find the eggs. Charlie got a kick out of this. After about 2 hours Charlie fell asleep, Percy ran out of quarters, and I was really in the mood for spaghetti. Stupid cravings.

That night I stated making dinner for our guests. We were having my dad and my step-mom. I had not talked to them for a while so I thought it would be a good idea to have them for Easter as a sort of peace offering. Besides, Charlie barely knows his other grandparents.

I hear the doorbell ring and walk over.

"Annabeth!" My dad says embracing me in a hug.

"Hi guys, Happy Easter," I say giving him and my step mom a hug.

"Oh Annabeth it's so nice of you to invite us over," my step mom says kindly. We had gotten over our little feud at the wedding but we still have never talked much. She really is a nice woman though after I gave her a chance.

"Hi Helen, Fredrick," Percy said coming up from the basement with Charlie. Then Percy coughed kinda loudly.

"Grandma! Grandpa!" Charlie yelled running to give them a hug.

My parents looked a little confused at first but then smiled and gave him a big hug.

"Wow Charlie you look so big!"

"Your such a handsome boy!"

Percy smiled at me and then I realized they set this up so it looked like Charlie knew who his grandparents were. In reality he had no idea who he was hugging but Percy went to the liberty to teach Charlie who they were just for me and my parents. I walked over and gave him a hug.

"Thanks Seaweed Brain, love you," I whispered in his ear.

"Love you too," he whispered back.

I made ham, mashed potatoes, asparagus, and buttered rolls. We all sat around the dining room table. Charlie sat next to my dad, who sat across from me and my step mom and Percy sat at the head of the table.

"So grandpa, Mommy says that you like planes," Charlie said and my dad chuckled.

"Yes I do, do you like them?" He asked.

"Well, I like cars, but planes are cool too." Charlie acting very mature. I felt like yelling, stop your only 3!

We ate chocolate cake shaped like a bunny for dessert and then I went upstairs and got Charlie ready for bed. He wouldn't fall asleep so I took him back downstairs and we watched the movie Hop. Charlie curled up in between my parents and I couldn't help but smile. They all looked so happy. I curled up with Percy in the chair next to them and we watched the movie together. We all fell asleep but it was fine since my parents were staying at our house for the next 2 days. Percy and I got them situated, put Charlie to bed, and then went to our room.

"That was a fun Easter," Percy said to me laying in bed.

"Yeah it was wasn't it," I answered. "goodnight."

"Goodnight."
