(Annabeth's POV)

"Hewo? This is the Jackson House!" I heard Charlie say after running to answer the phone. I heard someone speak on the other line.

"Mommmmmmy! Somebody wants to talk to you!" He screeched even though I was standing right next to him.

"Thanks Char," I said laughing, taking the phone from him.

"Hey! I'm at the front door, hope this won't be a trouble but I'm staying at your house for maybe like a week, or like a month, or possibly a year. Thanks it's really a big help,"

I knew immediately it was Thalia's voice. When I opened the door she toppled me in a hug.

"I know I'm not the hugging type, but I haven't seen you guys since Charlie's birth!" She squealed.

"H-e-l-p m-e," I gasped.

"Hah sorry sis," Thalia called me sis I guess cause we are practically sisters.

"Gosh Thals I've missed you so much! Oh gods, Charlie come here!" I yelled over to him. "Wait till you meet him! He's the cutest thing ever. Plussss there will be more!"

"Oh gods Annabeth that's amazing! Can I be the god-mother twice?"

I laughed as Charlie walked in with his cars.

"Charlie, meet Aunt Thalia, Thals, meet Charlie," I introduced the 2 year old to the immortal hunter.

"Hey squirt, what's hanging?" She said giving him a high five.

"Hiiii," he said shyly.

Thalia laughed. "Maybe my black makeup is scaring him."

"Here come in. We seem to have a lot of talking to do."

"Yes, yes we do."

We sat down and I put on a pot of coffee.

"So what were you saying on the phone?" I asked her, pouring the black liquid into two mugs.

"Welllllllllll I quit the Hunter's of Artemis and so while I get back on my feet I need a place to sleep. I don't know when I'll find a job, but for now let's just pray I will quickly so I can afford an apartment and food."

"Wow you quit the Hunters?" I asked shocked. Thalia seemed to love it.

"Yeah, I mean I loved it an all but I guess I just got a little jealous that you had Percy and are raising a family. You get to lead a normal life that most demigods don't get the chance to live."

I didn't question her anymore but I had a feeling there is more to her reasoning than just jealousy.

"Well while your here lets throw a party with everyone! We haven't all been together in forever," I said. The Hunters has stayed at camp for a while when the war had ended to kind of rest and regroup. Besides, there wasn't much to fight when we had just destroyed their leader. All our friends became really close with Thalia which I was really excited about. They would want to hear the news as well.

"I'll talk to Percy when he gets home," I said. "he'll be so excited to see you!"

(Percy's POV)

"Ok, thanks Jeff. I'll see you tomorrow, goodbye." I hung up the phone as I walked in the door.

"Dadddddyyyyyyy!!!!!" Charlie yelled running into my arms.

"Hey buddy! How Ya doing?" He giggled and ran back to his pile of toys he was playing with.

"Do I get a hug too Kelp Head?" I heard someone say.

"Thalia!" I yelled. "Oh gods how have you been? It's been over a year!"

"I'm good, I'm good" she answered giving me a hug. "Btw your paint shade in the guest room is awful. I can redo it if Ya want,"

"Oh great. how long are you staying?" I said.

"A year at the most," she answered casually.

"Guess who quit the Hunters?" Beth said walking up to give me a kiss.

"What happened?" I said turning to Thalia. We all know it would happen eventually.

"Nothing nothing. I just wanna lead a normal life like you guys. I'll be out soon, just give me some time to find a job. Maybe I'll work in a tree store. I do specialize in trees," she winked.

"Oh gods it'll be great to have her home," Beth sighed in my ear.

I laughed. "Yeah it will."
