It had been four years since the giant war, Percy and Annabeth were 22 and they had gotten married when they were 19.

Percy P.O.V

I had been married to Annabeth for three years and I loved her with all my heart. I was watching her as she wrote and furiously rubbed out on some blue-prints for a sky scraper that her architecture firm was designing. She was the heard of a major global one, I was so proud, it was called Athena Towers and she donated a good part of their profits to the demi-god camps every year.

I was a marine biologist and a part time life guard, head of both in New York and respected for the former globally. Annabeth said that she was proud of me. We both had very flexible hours and we could mostly work from home. So if something 'mythological' came up it wasn't too big a deal. I was also considering starting a self defence workshop to help some of the New York kids who really needed it, and you never know, maybe one day it could expand.

"Why are you staring at me Seaweed Brain?" I realized that I was still starring and she'd turned to look at me while I'd been lost in thought.

"Just thinking about how lucky I am." I told her with a smile. She lent over and kissed me.

"I could easily say the same." She kissed me back and I felt completely happy. It had been like this for years, we were still attacked by monsters (we were demi-gods after all) but nothing we couldn't handle and we had a good life, successful and close to our families. We were even thinking of starting our own family soon.

All our friends were happy too, they were married or engaged with jobs they loved or they lived at camp, we all taught at camp in the holidays too, it was our duty to help the next generation and it was nice to see everyone.

"Are you going to work tomorrow?" Annabeth asked me.

"Yeah, guarding lives tomorrow," I grinned, "Why do you ask, Wise Girl?"
"Just making plans." She answered, going back to her drawing.

XXXXXXXXXXX-time skip-Saturday-XXXXXXXXXX

"Come on Seaweed Brain, we're going to be late." I could hear my lovely wife calling me all the way from our room at the other side of our house.

"I'm coming Wise Girl!" I shouted back "Just grabbing my coat."

"Hurry up!" I laughed, she had been trying to change my habits of being late since we were twelve and even more since we'd gotten married, but she just couldn't change me. It drove her insane.

"I'm coming, I'm coming."  I ran down the stairs with our bags,  "Happy now?"

"Just be quick, we only have half an hour before dinner at camp." I laughed again and threw our stuff in the car and we drove to camp for our weekly stay. She was worrying about nothing, it was only a fifteen minute drive to camp, but she said that you should 'never underestimate the tardiness of a son of Poseidon' and kept trying to make me leave early.

We walked into camp right on time, so maybe I got side tracked on the way a little bit.

"Percy, Annabeth! Good to see you, you just made it in time for dinner." Annabeth glared at me and I laughed again. Chiron looked at us funny, he was used to our bickering, but he could still be curious, so I explained.

"Annabeth here wanted to be early, but I briefly lost my coat and had to make a call to the university, one of my students was looking for me so I told them to email me later. This of course made it so that instead of an hour early we were just in time." Chiron smiled at us amused. I turned to my wife, "At least we weren't late."

"Only because I made it so that we were supposed to be early because I knew you would be completely incapable of being on time." I stared at her for a moment. She knew me way too well. Chiron just laughed at us, "It's good to know that you still get along and know each other so well."

Apparently my flabbergasted expression was hilarious because my wife and mentor burst into gales of laughter, "You should know that I am used to you by now Seaweed Brain we have known each other for a decade." I suddenly felt old and weird, but I was happy too. These people where my family and they knew me. I smiled and laughed along with them.
