The Winner of the last chapter's trivia is @halliepally because for some reason I really disliked the Blood of Olympus.

Percy POV

Bob helped me through the treacherous terrain of Tartarus. Bob may have healed me but that didn't mean I felt good. I kept my worry for Annabeth to myself, Bob didn't seem to understand mortal problems that well. 

"We are getting close," Bob said ominously 

"How close is close?"

"A few minutes, or hours, human time is strange."

"That's comforting." Now I was definitely worried. What if Annabeth was hurt?

We continued trudging along. My muscles ached from fighting the Arai and all I wanted was to have Annabeth in my arms. Well, all I really wanted was to be back home with my mom, Annabeth, Grover, and even Paul.

We climbed over bubbles of puss that I knew better than to investigate. Luckily, the only monsters we encountered were quiet and easy to kill.

After half an hour had passed, Bob stopped in his tracks. "We are here!" he exclaimed, pointing at what must have been a Giants den. I didn't think twice before sprinting up to it.

"ANNABETH!?" I shouted, hoping she was close and could hear my calls. "Anna-" Oh. I had stepped into the shack.

Of all the things I had expected to walk into, it was not my girlfriend curled up on the floor with a strange lizard monster and a giant. I raised my sword instinctually but decided against any killing. Annabeth seemed to think she was safe enough to sleep by them, and I trust her judgment. 

I leaned down and tapped her shoulder gently. "Annabeth," I muttered softly "Wise Girl, we have to keep moving." She rose quickly, she was used to sleeping light. 

"Percy! You're okay!" She jumped up into my arms, giving me a short and fierce hug. "I was so worried for you. But you won't believe what happened. Damasen, the giant, and the Drakon are going to help us."

I hesitated at that. As much as I trusted Annabeth, I didn't trust these guys we just met. "Are you sure we can trust them?" I whispered that in case the monsters were awake.

She nodded her head adamantly. "They helped me, I know they will keep helping us."

The bodies on the floor started to move about, I took a big step back. Even if we are working with them, they were intimidating. Damasen was the first to awake.

"Hello Perseus Jackson, I am glad you arrived here safely." I fixed him with a strong gaze. "I am glad you protected Annabeth so I don't have to kill you. It would've been quite the hassle." The Giant let out a boisterous laugh.

"My, I haven't laughed in millennia." He shook his head "I hear you are looking to escape the pit?" I nodded in assent and opened my mouth to speak, but before I could say anything the Drakon raised its head.

"Oh my Gods, this thing's breath stinks!" I couldn't help but exclaim. I regretted it as soon as it turned its head and growled at me. "Hey now! I have a sword and I'm not afraid to use it."

Annabeth glared at me, and addressed the Drakon "Percy is sorry, we are grateful for your help." I nodded. "Yes, thank you for keeping her safe." The Drakon bobbed its head and contorted its mouth in something that was probably a smile.

"So, enough small talk. Anyone know how to get to the Doors of Death?" They all stared at me blinking, "Anyone?" Another moment passed.

"I do know of two paths to the Doors, both of them involving almost certain death." The Giant finally spoke up.

I grinned "Keyword: Almost. We've lived through 'Almost' plenty of times." Somewhere here had to keep the team morale up. 

Damasen continued "The Drakon, and I can go one way, but no mortal can pass through. The other way does not leave much more hope for you. You would have to go to Akhlys."

"What Akhlys?" I asked, knowing I wouldn't like the answer.

"Akhlys is basically the goddess of misery. She can cover you in Death Mist which will allow you to pass monsters undetected. That is if she doesn't kill you first."
