Lalani's P.O.V

Hey guys! It's Lalani here, and if you don't know that name, where have you been living? Under a rock? Anyways, the popular girl should get the cute guy right? Well, however the teen movies work, it doesn't work in reality. So, you've probably guessed that I have a crush right? Yep, on hottest guy at Grason High, Percy Jackson, Captain of the swim team. I really only go to swim meets to stare at his biecps and abs..... oh you know what I mean! So, when Percy cane to this school, I knew he was mine. So, I made an announcement that everybody will drop the whole "me being popular" thing for a while. Ugghh!!! It's so hard!! 

"So...." my friend Abi said, bringing me out of my daydream. We were walking towards our next class... oh wait, no lunch. Did I really daydream about Percy through math?" You ask him out yet?"

No, I had not, and the dance is tomorrow. "I'm asking him today." I said, setting down my lunchbox.  She nodded and smiled.

"I'm going with Alexander Torres." She said, sighing. Oh no.

"Umm," I chewed my lip, "You do know that Alexander is Lila's cousin, right?" Her face fell.

"Oh" she said quietly. I was ready tp symphasize for her when I spotted Percy walk over to his table, alone. Here's my chance, I thought as I walked iver to him. He wasn't even looking at me, just eating.

"Hey Percy!" I said.

He looked then looked confused. "Umm hi?"

I'll have to rush it out before I die. "Doyouwanttogototgedancewithme? Thanks bye!!" I said, running back to Abi.

(Night of the dance)

Still Lalani's P.O.V

I was so ready for this dance. The theme was under the sea, and I knew Percy was going as a sea king, so I'll go as his sea queen.  My dress was sea green with one shoulder, and the top was conflicted with gray and sea green tule.

When I finally arrived, I walked in and everyone, after about 25 seconds, looked awed and pointed. Then Percy looked my way and smiled. He started walking towards me when I noticed everyone was looking at something behind me. I turned to see a blonde with princess curls in a sea green dress as well, except with gray lace over a sea green top, and a flowing tule skirting.

I looked back just in time to see Percy pass right by me. And then, to my dimay, he hugged her. My heart shattered into billions of tiny pieces. I ran off to a table where, from afar, I saw them kiss. Everyone cheered and clapped while I finally let my teaes fall. Soon after, Abi showed up, without Alexander. 

She looked me over once then said, "I'm guessing that wasn't you kissing Percy?" I shook my head and wiped my nose. She sat nextto me and smiled, "well that makes two of us, Alexander was with someone else when I got here." She nodded towards him, dancing with some red head.

When I got home, I decided to make a plan to get that dumb blonde (A/N: I have NOTHING against blondes) away from Percy. And nothing will stop me. Nothing!!
