A high pitched scream rang through the house that Percy was sleeping in. He dashed into Annabeth's room.

There she was, sweating, trembling in bed, her fingers gripping her sheets. Her scared eyes darted around the room, and then focused on Percy's.

He went to the side of her bed and sat down next to her, wrapping his arms around her. 

She sobbed into his shirt and he rubbed circles along her back. "What was it this time".

Annabeth sobbed some unintelligible. Percy knew what she meant though. "Shh, we are not there anymore".

Annabeth kissed him. "You are the best boyfriend ever".

Annabeth lied back down. 

"Can i stay". Percy asked. In response Annabeth wrapped her arms around his neck "Please do".

Later the next day.

Percy, Sally, Paul, Annabeth and Estelle were at a museum. "Estelle has to go potty". Annabeth said. "Can I take her while you chat"?

Sally nodded. "Sure, she knows how to go on her own, she isn't training anymore".

Annabeth kissed percy on the cheek and then went inside with Estelle. "I will come back to where you are".

"So mom, bring any blue cookies"? Sally laughed and shook her head "When we get home Percy, I want to get to know Annabeth better".

Percy pouted "But-". A scream cut him off. 

He turned around and the museum was on fire. Some one was calling 911. 

Everything was chaos. Security guards blocked the path inside saying no one can come through. 

"Annabeth is in there"! Percy shouted, over the cackle of the fire. 

"Don't worry", Sally said "I am sure Annabeth will come out safely with Estelle".

But Sally looked worried.

A minute passed.

Then another. 

Percy couldn't take it any longer.

He pushed past the security guards and ran into the fiery building.

He finally found Annabeth, doing her best to shield Estelle from the smoke. 

"percy"? She rasped, her voice raw from the smoke. "Wise girl"?

Her face crumpled "seaweed brain". She crawls over to me and kisses me. "You shouldn't have come. You will die here".

"I came for you". Percy said "Come on, lets go, I got Estelle".

"Seaweed brain". Annabeth rasps, then clears her throat. "I love you".

Percy's eyes widen "No Annabeth"!

"save Estelle".

Then, a peaceful smile spreads across her face and her eyes close "seaweed brain". She whispers. 

"ANNABETH, WAKE UP, WISE GIRL, DON'T LEAVE ME, PLEASE"!

It is no use "Annabeth Chase, you wake up right now"!

Estelle cries too. He scoops up Annabeth in his arms, and Estelle clings to his shoulder.

He finds a little girl and boy wandering around and saves them too.

The Ambulance arrives and Everyone goes to their family. 

Percy sets Annabeth's body down, and cradles her head. "Wise girl"?

He kissed her lips Gently. Still no reaction. 

A doctor pushed him away and pressed his lips against Annabeth's. Percy shoved him away. "What are you doing to my girlfriend".

The doctor put his glasses on "Giving her CPR".

Percy glared at him harder and he ran. 2 nurses put her on a stretcher and brought her into an ambulance.

Estelle was fine. Annabeth had actually shielded her when some glass broke, and tried to help her breathe better.

Estelle just needed water. 

Percy rode in the ambulance with Annabeth

At the Hospital

"I am sorry Mr. Jackson, but your girlfriend inhaled too much smoke".

Percy lost it. He ran into the hospital room. After 3 days of sleeping next to her, they had tried their best to give her surgery, but it was too late. He should've given her ambrosia and nectar. 

"ANNABE-"! He froze when he saw her sitting up in bed, her grey eyes sparkling.

"Seaweed Brain".

Percy squeezed her in a hug, then stepped back with a mad expression "they said you had too much smoke, and you were awake, you LIED to me"!

Annabeth looked down at her covers "I am sorry Percy, I am sorry for surprising you like that".

Percy sat down next to her on her bed (which should have been impossible, because, like, have you SEEN hospital beds)? ( I have seen too many, and seen deaths on almost all).

Percy tiled her chin up so their eyes were level. "Never joke about you dying again".

Annabeth nodded and then grabbed Percy's face and kissed him hard.
