The first time Percy and Annabeth wake each other up from a nightmare is the first night when they come back from Tartarus.

The air around her was acidic. Every ragged breath she took took a toll on her lungs. She was so tired, so impossibly tired, but she tried to keep going. She was about to take Percy's hand, and when she went to grab it, nothing was there. Where was he? She started to panic, her heart beating rapidly, while she frantically looked around.

Suddenly, he appeared several feet in front of her, with a dracanae towering over him, and with a dagger lodged into his stomach.

"NO!" She let out a blood curdling scream. She couldn't have lost him, that wasn't possible, no. How could she have been so careless as to not notice him gone before?

"PERCY!" She ran towards him, but before she could reach him, the dracanae slashed toward her, as she screamed-

She sat bolt up right in bed, her sheets, hair, and clothes clung to her, coated in sweat. Her scream cut off in her throat.

Percy rushed into the room, panic written in his eyes. Even though they had just come back from freaking Tartarus, Coach Hedge still didn't let them sleep in the same bed. They had been extremely reluctant to go their separate ways, and it took a large amount of comforting for them to be able to separate. Even so, it took Annabeth hours to fall asleep even though she was exhausted.

Percy ran to her side and enveloped her in his arms, whispering sweet nothings into her ear to calm her down, but she couldn't understand what he was saying over her panicked mind. Only then did she realize sh had been crying. Annabeth never cried, she was the strong one. She shouldn't let a silly dream get to her. Except it wasn't a silly dream.

She wrapped her arms tightly around Percy and cried into his shoulder. Her heart rate had started to calm down and she could finally hear what he was saying to her. She peeked up over his shoulder and saw the Argo II crew was all in the doorway, looking worriedly at them. A sense of guilt washed over her on the fact that she woke them, but just as she was about to apologize, Coach Hedge spoke up.

"Alright Cupcakes, back to sleep. The crew reluctantly backed out of the doorway, and Coach departed as well, bidding a "Goodnight Jackson." as he closed the door behind him. Sea green eyes locked onto gray ones and Percy said, "Lets get some sleep Wise Girl, yeah?" The thought of sleep terrified her, as she thought of having another horrid nightmare, but with Percy here, she had a feeling she wouldn't be having any. She nodded and opened the covers so Percy could tuck in, and as they layed down, Percy wrapped his arms around her waist, and she layed her head on his chest, nuzzling in.

"G'Night Seewead Brain"

"'Night Wise Girl" He said as he kissed her forehead.

Turns out Annabeth was right, because no more nightmares plagued her that night.

A/N How was that for my first one shot? I'm not sure if i'm a good writer, but i love reading one shots like these and i love Percabeth, so i thought why not try it out!
