Percy's POV

"Hey, Wise Girl!" I called as I stepped through the door.

The house was quiet. I chuckled, knowing that wherever Wise Girl was, she would have her head buried in a book, as always. I stepped into the study, expected to see her there. But she wasn't.

I frowned. Where was she? Then I heard Annabeth in our large bedroom. She was looking down at a stick in worry. My heart clenched. It was a pregnancy test.

"Hey Wise Girl," I said again gently. Annabeth gasped at the sound of my voice. "P-Percy, I-I don't even know how to say this, but---"

"You're pregnant." I said quietly.

"Y-yes. Percy, I---"

I shushed her. "Annabeth, this is great news! Why, from the look on your face just now, I thought someone had died or something."

Annabeth gave a weak laugh. "But, Percy, aren't we too young for this. Because we are only 21 now, and I afraid. Afraid that I'm not going to be a good mom to our kid, afraid he or she will hate me. I'm just so scared."

"Annabeth," I said, taking her hands in mine, "I know you're going to be the best mother ever. I know you will love our child with all your heart, and I know that he or she is the luckiest child in the world, because you are his or her mother."

Annabeth looked down at her pregnant belly. She smiled, rubbing it slowly. "Then, I'm going to love this child, whether it be boy or girl, with all my heart."

I smiled too and put my hand on top of hers. Somewhere in there, there was our child, our first baby Jackson.

I kissed her stomach softly. "You, baby Jackson, are the best baby in the world." I whispered to Annabeth's stomach.
