The baby.

She was what we've always wanted.

Avi and I got married in the summer of 2010, but no one had known yet.

Yet.

We decided to have a child, and my baby bump was growing, and I couldn't keep up this "Jeremy" lie.

Everyone I've met has always wanted to meet this "Jeremy" character that I made up, but he's not real.

So I just tell them he's on business trips all the time.

I've been saying that for 6 years.

Avi was afraid that Esther would be mad at him for marrying me, because we've had some bad blood between us.

At Esther's wedding, to be specific.

Long story short, I ruined her $11,000 dollar dress on accident, and she thought I did it on purpose. She's hated me ever since.

And that was back in 2009, when me and Avi were just dating. But she didn't know that.

Nobody did.

We never told Scott, Mitch, Kevin, Candice, Esther, we haven't even told our parents.

So one day I walked into the recording studio with a bigger belly, and Scott knew what was up.

He asked me to go to the janitor's closet, where we always talk privately.

"What is it this time? Too many cookies?" He complained. "Tell me the truth. I know there's a child in there."

I rolled my eyes, trying to keep the tears from coming.

"Okay, fine. But I swear if you tell anyone, you'll be dead, Hoying." I demand. "Jeremy is fake. Avi and I have been dating since the end of 2008, and we got married in 2010. You know the time we 'coincidentally' had to go to Hawaii at the same time? We got married there."

His jaw drops open. "Why wouldn't you tell us?"

"The Esther situation in 2009, remember? We were afraid she would find out one way or another." I responded as he rubbed my back.

"We have to tell the others. Esther won't be mad, and if she is, then who cares? You love Avi, don't you?" He asked me.

I nodded. "Okay. Let's do this."

We told the others, and Avi was relieved after.

Mitch, Kevin, and everyone was fine with it.

And there was Esther, who wouldn't stop crying.

Happy tears.

"I feel like such a bitch!" She exclaimed, rubbing her eyes. "You should've told me, my wonderful sister-in-law!"

Everyone was happy.

And 6 months later I had a baby girl.

And you know what we named her?

Olivia Charlotte Kaplan.

She was the most beautiful child that I've seen. 〜
