Sixty-Four
Scott sits against a wall in the corner of the basement rocking back and forth staring at the wall in front of him just thinking.
Isabel then comes from around the corner taking Scott from his thoughts.
"Aw. Look at Little Lord Fauntleroy. Writing sorrowful sonnets in your head to that little nightingale bitch?" Isabel mocks.
She walks closer to Scott and he tries his best to ignore Isabel as all she wants is to get a reaction out of him.
"Adieu, nightingale. Thy plaintive anthem fades."
"That's Keats." Scott says.
"Who gives a shit? You're like a girl, sulking down here in the basement instead of doing something about what's really bothering you." Isabel says.
"I'm tired of hurting people."
"Do you want him to go away? Because Nel booked their tickets. I heard her. You know what you have to do."
"Yeah, I do. I just have to prepare myself. It's not fun."
Isabel smirks at Scott and gets down to his eye level to look at him.
"You want to fool around while you work your way up to it?" Isabel asks.
She kicked the box Scott is sitting on and then sits on his laps wrapping her arms around his neck.
Scott tries to push her off, but she pulls herself back closer towards him.
"I'm not into it." Scott says.
"What is it about being dead that makes me so horny?" Isabel asks.
She goes into kiss him, but Scott pushes her back and stands his ground.
"Quit it. I'm in love." He says and walks away from Isabel.

Nel calls Josh to the house and tells him to come over as soon as he can to talk about selling the house and quickly.
She's had enough of the house and the strange things that have been going on in it.
First Mike doesn't believe her about the strange goings on in the house and now Mitch is lying and making her look crazier.
Nel just wants someone there that believes her, but she also wants to be rid of this house of horrors.
A knock at the front door takes Nel out of her thoughts as she goes to open it and is greeted by Josh.
"What on earth could be so urgent that I had to leave my open house in Studio City and drive all the way over the hill?" Josh asks annoyed.
He follows close behind Nel to the living room where she invites him to sit down on the couch.
"Well, firstly, I wanted to let you know that Mitch and I will be leaving here tomorrow to go stay at my sister's for a while." Nel says.
"You couldn't tell me that by phone!?"
"Sit down, Joshua. I'm not finished."
Josh rolls his eyes and sits down on the couch looking at Nel who is sitting in the chair next to him.
"Where is Mr. Escandarian? We accepted his ridiculous, low-ball offer, and now we have not received as escrow check. Don't tell me you've screwed this one up too, Josh." Nel spats.
"You know, Nel, I have had it with your abuse. And for your information, I've called Mr. Escandarian for two weeks, morning and night. The man won't return my calls! I wasn't here when he came back to visit. Did you tell him your ghost story? Maybe he laughed, and you bit the man's head." Josh fires back.
"Excuse me, Josh. I'm not crazy. I'm just pregnant." Nel says.
Nel sighs and leans back in her chair as she becomes dizzy.
"I'm also nauseous and dizzy." Nel groans.
Josh watches as Nel struggles to sit up and continue on their conversation.
"And blinded by migraines." Nel groans.
"Mrs. Grassi? What? What just happened?" Josh asks with a concerned look in his eyes.
Nel points to the kitchen and asks for Josh to get her a glass of water before he passes out.
He quickly rushes to the kitchen and grabs her a glass of water.
"Just don't have the baby now. That's the last thing you want to do."
After he leaves the room, Nel jumps up quickly and goes snooping through Josh's briefcase and pulls out his gun.
She quickly sits back down hiding the gun behind her back as Josh walks back into the room.
"Oh, golly! Here we go. Right here." Josh says handing her the small glass.
"Thank you, Josh."
"Yeah."
Nel takes a huge gulp of water as Josh carefully sits back down on the couch.
"Oh, I'm sorry, Josh. I think I'm gonna have to lie down for a little while." Nel says.
Josh quickly nods he head.
He goes to grab his briefcase and shows himself the door.
After she hears the door close, Nel sits up and pulls the gun out from behind her back and examines it.
Nel goes upstairs to her bedroom for the night and hides the gun in her nightstand for the time being.
She takes the flashlight off of the mantle in her room and looks under her bed and in her closet to make sure they are both empty and no one is hiding in there trying to scare her.
After all the things that have happened to her since they moved there, Nel doesn't trust anything one bit.
After everything checks out, she turns the lights off and tries to relax so she can fall asleep for the night.
As Nel lays there still, she starts to hear weird noises.
The floor creaking as if someone was walking towards the bed.
A shadow of the rubber man catches the corner of her eye as she turns around to turn the lights back on.
Of course, there is no one to be seen.
She starts to let panic set in as she gets an uneasy feeling.
Nel gets up out of bed and walks slowly towards the curtains on the the window in front of the bed.
As she pulls the curtain back, the rubber man walks behind her and goes into hiding again.
Nel senses the presence of someone in the room with her, but can't see anyone.
Just then, the rubber man comes up behind her and brushes his hand against her face causing Nel to scream.
She trips and hits her head on her headboard and looks around for the rubber man, but he is again no where to be found.
Quickly and without thinking, Nel presses her alarm button to notify the police and also pulls the gun out of the nightstand.
Mike quickly opens the bedroom door causing Nel to scream again.
Without looking to see who is was, she shoots the gun, wounding Mike.
Mike grabs his thigh and falls to the ground next to the bed.
