Nicole's P.O.V.

I'm right now at the airport waiting for my flight and right in front of me, about two seats ahead is Mr. Austin Williams who is looking at me every now and then.

Yes, we both are going to Paris but alone. I'm so not interested in giving him any company after the way he behaved with me. Duh huh, I've some dignity of my own.

When I came back home after the small fight with Austin, I called Rian. His mobile was switched off but he himself called me after some time from his hotel's number and told me that his mobile was off due to non- charging.

I talked to him for like two hours and told him about this arrogant jerk's who is his oh so friend also, One and only Austin's thinking about me but Rian being the sweetest person ever calmed me down and persuaded me to come to Paris and also arranged tickets for me. I can't say no to him because he's my special friend.

Unfortunately, I've to share this flight with Austin but fortunately, I've to sit away from him. My trance of thoughts was broken when my flight was announced. I picked up my bag and moved to the plane and Austin was walking ahead of me.

✈✈✈✈✈✈✈✈

I settled on my seat near the window on two-seater and the seat next to me was vacant. I saw Austin sitting one row behind me in the middle row with two ladies, a young and beautiful and an old lady. Ignoring him, I started reading my magazine but in about five minutes a very handsome boy showed up and sat on the vacant seat next to me. I can't help but gawk at him as soon as he settled himself.

He was busy in searching magazines for him and was oblivious to the fact that the girl sitting next to him is drooling over him totally.

I forced my eyes to look away from him and focus on the magazine in my hand. This boy even smells god, I mean his cologne was amazing. I must say this boy had great taste and body and he's a Greek god.

Gosh, no one had impressed me this way!!

"Hi", he said forwarding his hand at me taking the initiative.

Such a gentleman!!

"Hey", I said.

"My name is Kristein Oberoi", he said with a smile.

"Nicole Anderson", I replied but I didn't miss to notice the ring in his hand. He's engaged, I guess.

Way to go lucky, NOT!!

"So, I guess you're going to Paris", he said.

Isn't it obvious?

"I guess so", I said but then I noticed he was looking back again and again. I overlooked and saw him looking at the girl sitting next to Austin.

"Do you know her?", I asked.

"Uh, who?", He asked.

"The girl whom you're staring now and then", I replied.

"Yeah, she's my wife. Her name is Shanaya, Shanaya Oberoi", he said with a smile.

"She's beautiful", I said and he grinned with a proud in his eyes.

"She's indeed but she has anger issue also", Kristein said.

"You guys had a fight?", I asked.

"Yeah, all thanks to Dan", he said.

"Whose Dan?", I asked.

"He's my friend and I had asked him to book tickets for us because I forgot to do the same but he wasn't able to book our seats together and we've to sit far apart. Now, she's mad at me because I was irresponsible", He said with a sigh.

He again looked back and waved hello to Shanaya but her reaction clearly showed that she was way too pissed.

Ouch!!

"Wow, she's very angry", I said looking at her and I saw Austin started talking to Shanaya.

"Damn him", Kristein cursed under breath.

"What happened? Are you ok?", I asked.

"Did you see that guy with Shanaya? He's trying to hit her and I can't do anything", He whined like a baby and I couldn't help but smile.

God, just look at him. He's all crazy for her. Lucky she is!!

"Just save your wife from him. He's a womaniser after all", I said.

"Do you know him?", He asked.

"Yes, his name is Austin. Unfortunately, we're in the same college", I said.

"Hey, then could you please ask him to exchange seat with me?", Kristein asked.

"No, I can't. I understand you had a fight with your wife and I'm sorry for that but I can't stand Austin a second", I said.

"Wow. You hate him so much, don't you?", Kristein asked looking amused.

"Yes", I asked unsure weather I'm saying anything funny.

"You know what shanaya too used to hate me so so much and I also used to dislike her", Kristein said dreamingly.

"Really?", I asked.

"Yes", he said.

"And then?", I asked.

"We got married", he said happily.

"Lucky you", I said with a forced smile.

But that doesn't mean, I'll marry Austin, duh huh!! My inner self said.

"Hey, please help me", Kristein said again looking impatient whilst seeing shanaya and Austin talking all happily. I just rolled my eyes at this possessive boy.

"Fine, go and get your seats exchanged", I said. After all, I'm not a sadist who would feel pleasure by keeping two loved ones apart.

"Thanks, you're a darling", Kristein said happily and then went back to their seats.

I got busy in my magazine ignoring Austin completely who sat next to me. He didn't say anything too just was making something in his notebook.

"Nicole", Austin called out my name but I just ignore him. I heard his sigh.

"Ok, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have talked to you like that. Could we just forget that? Please", he said again.

"Fine but just avoid talking to me because I don't like you", I said.

"Me neither. We can be civil right?", He said.

"Whatever", I replied and then I decided to take a nap.

💌💌💌💌💌💌💌💌💌💌💌💌

I woke up after some three or four hours and only then I realised that my head was all over Austin's shoulder.

Crap!!

I immediately got up and thank god he was also sleeping or else it would be difficult for me to face him. I mean it's awkward and embarrassing both at the same time.

I saw he had a sketch in his hand. He hadn't made it completely but only eyes of a girl. Maybe it's her girlfriend's eyes.

Wait a second!!

Where is Austin's girlfriend? I mean wasn't he supposed to come with her. I didn't attend his Halloween party because I was mad at him so I didn't saw her but he was so sure that his girlfriend or soon to be girlfriend would say yes to him after he'll propose her then where the hell is she?

Wasn't she supposed to be with us on this trip to Paris? How will he proposes her if she won't be with us? Why this boy is so confusing? I lightly picked up the book from his lap and examined the image clearly.

Well, it was dark just like Austin's nature but those eyes were damn beautiful. I am dying to look the whole picture now. It's even more beautiful than the sketch Rian made for me.

I was about to turn the page and take a sneak peek of other sketches but before I could do that, Austin snatched the book from my hand.

"Hey, what are you doing?", He asked and closed his notebook immediately as if it had some secrets of him.

"Umm, nothing", I said.

"Don't you know it's not called good manners to take others things without their permission. Haven't been to school ever?", He asked but he was looking like he'll pass out anytime.

"Hey, chill. I've not seen anything except those eyes made by you, no need to get all riled up. I'm sorry, ok", I said and then the colour of his cheeks came back making his pale face again a pink one.

"Where is your girlfriend?", I asked.

"Who girlfriend?", He asked.

"Duh huh, the one for which we bought dresses? Remember?", I asked.

This boy, don't know how many girls he dates every day that he can't even remember about which girl I'm talking about. This boy is hard to handle, I'm just tired of him.

"You don't have to think about her. She'll come there, you focus on your boyfriend", he said with a bit annoyance giving a slight pressure on the word boyfriend.

Wired!!

"Your wish", I said and the flight attendant announced about our landing.

I looked back and saw Shanaya sleeping with her head on Kristein's shoulder and he was watching her face with so much love and adoration. God, I wish someone love me this way only.

I and Austin came out along with Shanaya and Kristein. We took our luggage back together and moved to taxi stand together.

"It was nice meeting you", Kristein said to me.

"Same here and you're a very beautiful girl, I must admit ", I said to shanaya.

"Thanks and so are you", Shanaya said and I just smiled.

"Good luck Austin", Shanaya said looking at him and he just said Thanks.

Good luck for what?

"I guess we should be going then", Shanaya said and in no time a car came and stopped near us with a driver.

Talk about rich people, I thought.

Well, that you too are, my inner self said.

I'm not a freaking rich millionaire, I replied.

"Yeah sure. Would like to meet you again sometime", Austin said and Kristein gave us his card, one each.

Austin moved to taxi stand for the cab and I too joined him but before that Kristein stopped me and said, "Nicole don't forget what I said before about me and shanaya. We too used to hate each other a lot also".

"What?", I chuckled, "See, Kristein, you and shanaya were different. I had someone else in my life".

"So does she had. All the best, you never know when you find love in this city of love, Paris", he said with a wink.

He's a crazy boy!!

"I'm sure I'll get one but he's surely not Austin", I said addressing Rian in my mind.

"Maybe from your side, but I can't tell about him", he said looking something behind me and I turned to saw Austin standing there only a few distance from us.

"I'll tell you for sure about my love life", I said.

"I'll be waiting for your call", he said and then moved to his car.

I turned my heels and moved towards Austin who was watching me intensely, noting my moves making me feel a twist in my stomach.

"What are you doing here? I thought you had gone to take a cab", I said.

"I thought we're going together", he said.

"Let's go then", I said.

"What was he talking to you about?", Austin asked.

"Nothing important", I said and thankfully he didn't ask much.

We both took the cab and moved to our destination. I was happy in my mind with the thought of meeting Rian and spending time with him.

This is what we all humans are like. We planned so much for our future, dreamt a lot about beautiful things to happen and kept fooling our stupid heart with our stupid fantasies. Hardly, we know that our future would destroy these beautiful dreams and we've to face the harsh reality.

Only If I Knew My Life Would Change Forever After This Trip!!
