Nicole's P.O.V.

"Could you drop me home?", I asked Max.

"Sure, let's go", he said and I followed him to his car. Rian and Nial both left without talking to me and I've left only one option to go home with and that's Max.

Max dropped me at my place and then left. I came in my room and got changed in comfortables. Everything happened so quickly that I know everyone needs time to recover. Kate didn't even realise that how her life is going to change for worse when she'll woke up tomorrow.

I'm feeling bad for her but I can't help her in that. She surely was heartbroken but it doesn't mean to play with other's heart. That's unfair. I know she'll be mad at me but I hardly care for her views.

I moved downstairs to get something to eat to calm my hungry stomach at fire. I made noodles for me because it's the only thing which every person can make weather they know cooking or not and mine case is second one.

I came to my room with a plate full of noodles and a glass of water. I started eating my noodles but my mind was all preoccupied by today's event. I need this thing to get out of my heart but I had no one to share my feelings with.

It was ten at night and I don't want to call Cali. She must be enjoying at her family dinner. I can't call Nial also because, of course he must be cursing Kate for whatever she did to him and must be thinking of ways to mend his relationship with Ellie, afterall he love her.

I can't talk to Rian too because then it would hurt me. Ellie would be there for him. He must be hating Kate for destroying his relationship with Tina and who knows may be in future he may try to patchup with his ex girlfriend. I know, I had started having some feelings for him but I can't let my feelings overrule my heart.

He came into my life that time when Nial broke my heart into pieces. He supported me all time and unknowingly through few letters and some shared feelings he made his special presence in my life. He would always be precious to me too.

After finishing my food, I brushed my teeth and retired to bed but sleep was far away from my eyes. I opened my mobile and started surfing Facebook but it didn't helped too because my heart was not at peace.

I were feeling like to do nothing, I just want this night to end soon. I were all frustrated but only then my mobile rang.

I picked it up with the hope that maybe it's from Rian but it was from unknown number.

Whose calling me at this time?

"Hello", I said after pressing the green button.

"Hello, Nicole", a manly voice came from the other side.

"Who is this?", I asked.

"Hey, I'm Austin", He said.

"Williams, what happened? Why havs you called me?", I asked.

"Yeah, I'm outside your house. Can you come out please?", He said and I sat down on my bed quickly.

"What are you doing here at this time?", I asked surprised.

"I'll tell you everything but can you open the door?. It's cold outside", he said and I could sense his teeth chattering.

"Wait", I said and then went downstairs after tying my hair in a messy bun.

As soon as I opened the door, Austin entered my home without saying anything. He was shivering.

"Are you okay?", I asked worriedly seeing his nose all red and lips shivering in cold.

"Yeah, I'm fine", he said but I was not satisfies with his answer so I kept a hand over his forehead and he was burning.

"Gosh, Austin. You had fever, why the hell are you roaming in such a cold weather?", I asked.

"I'm fine. I'm here to ask something very important", he said.

"You could've waited for tomorrow or you could've asked me by calling. Why do we have mobile phones?", I complained and moved to kitchen to make coffee for him.

" No, I couldn't wait and on mobile you can't see the truth of someone's words", he said taking a seat in the kitchen tabel.

He's weird, remind me!!

"Would you like to have coffee?", I asked, although I was making one still, it's good to ask.

"Yeah, a black one", he said.

He's actually wired!!

"Who drinks black coffee Austin? You're not a businessman who had a lot of pressure on his head", I quoted.

"I love black", he said.

I hate black!!

"Fine, but tell me what bring you here at this time of hour?", I asked.

"Did something happened at the party?", He asked rubbing his palms together.

I raised my eyebrows and replied, "Why? Did anyone said something?".

"No, but maybe", he replied.

"Can't give a straight answer? Could you?", I said pouring his coffee, sorry, BLACK Coffee.

"Ellie called me and told that Rian had locked himself in his room. I tried to call Max and Mike but they both didn't picked up my call", he said taking his coffee mug.

"You could've gone to their homes or maybe could've visited Rian's place, why did you choose to show up at my place?", I asked taking a seat next to him with my hot cappuccino.

"Seems no one at your home. Are you alone?", Austin replied, changing the topic.

"No, everyone's sleeping", I said.

It's good that my parents are not here and I made coffee myself because I don't want to disturb Julian. She's in one of our guest room, sleeping with Kian because she doesn't want me to stay alone at home. But Austin doesn't need to know that.

"Trying to change the topic, ain't you?", I asked again.

"Because, I knew that only you could give me the right answer and your home is near from rest and I'm not well so I can't travel more and-", he started ranting so I cut him off.

"Fine, shut up now. Have your coffee and I'll tell you what happened", I said.

After that I started narrating him the whole story trying to keep everyone look innocent because I really don't think Kate deserves hatred. I pity her but I pity Austin more when I looked into his eyes.

He must had loved Kate once truly because the hurt I had witnessed in Rian and Nial's eyes, Austin's eyes did showed reflection of that pain. He was raging in anger, I saw him clenching his jaws and fist but his eyes were a bit wet.

"You okay?", I asked.

"Yeah, I.. I'm. Why wouldn't I be?", He said trying to hide the pain in his voice.

"Austin, You can cry. You're hurt and you've all right to take out this pain from your heart. She was never yours, you've to move on", I said remembering his words, he said something like this to me when I found out Ellie and Nial's relationship.

"I've to leave", he said and got up.

"Will you be able to go alone?", I asked because one he's ill and secondly he's not in right state of mind.

"I'm not a kid", he said rudely and left.

I just viewed at his retreating figure and when he was out of sight, I just closed the door. I came back and placed the cups in the kitchen.

Tomorrow is gonna be a big day for everyone's life, a big change would happen!!

Next day, I reached college with a very messed up brain and an unrelaxed heart because I was freaking out from inside thinking about what's gonna happen today.

I reached my locker and take out my notebook but none of the person I know showed up. I moved to the Economics class in which I were alone with a sad mood.

Didn't anyone came? Where is everyone?

Without any interest, I still attended the lecture for sake of getting attendance, the only important thing for which we came to class.

As soon as class finished, I ran outside. I was the one to leave the classroom and I walked hastily towards my locker.

I waited for student to came out of theirs classrooms and started searching for one familiar face amongst the massive bodies of students but found none.

I called Cali then Jason, Nial, Rian, Ellie. One by one, I called everyone but no one picked up my call. This is weird, where the hell they're? Are they all kidnapped by someone that too together?

Although pissed totally from inside, I still attended the rest of the lectures till break time. I once again called everyone but still no response.

I was getting restless now. I grabbed a burger and walked out of college to my same place backside. I sat down on the ground and started thinking whilst having my burger.

I was trying hard to think of every single possibility of what could have happened, only when my mobile rang. It was from an unknown number.

"Hello", I said taking the call.

"You bitch, you ruined everything. How dare you to do this to me? You devastated my life, I won't leave you. I'll kill you", a very angry girl was abusing me from the other side of line and it won't take much time for me to realise that it's Kate.

"Are you done? You're paying for your own sins. Who the bloody hell had given you the right to play with other lives? You deserved this", I said.

"I won't leave you. I'll -", before she could say anything more, I cut the call.

Now, I know where this group disappeared?. They all must have paid visit at Kate's house and only god knows what's going on there?

College over and I came back to my home. I had my lunch and then drifted to sleep. I woke up with the irritating noise of my mobile ringtone.

I saw it was from Cali. Oh, so finally someone decided to call me.

"Hello", I said.

"Cole, where are you?", Cali asked.

"In the Antarctic ocean, enjoying fishing. Wanna come?", I replied sarcastically.

"Fine, no need to be sarcastic. Can you come over to my place?. It's kinda urgent", she said sounding worried.

"What happened?", I asked.

"See, I can't tell you on call everything so please just come to my home right now", she said and I agreed immediately.

"Fine, I'll be there in fifteen", I said.

Since, Cali doesn't live far away from my place and it's her place so I just tied my hairs in a messy bun and in my normal baggy home clothes, I ran towards my car and drove to Cali's house. I don't need to get ready to go to my best friend's house, we hardly care to look presentable in front of our best friends but hardly I know that I should've changed into something good.

As soon as I reached, I jumped out of my car and marched towards her home. At entrance, I ran the doorbell. She opened in like five seconds as if was standing near the gate only.

"You came finally in this dress?", Her excitement changed into question at the end of the line.

"C'mon, it's you. Why would I need to change? I don't want to impress you, I replied casually and hop in.

"Cole wait, you should listen to me first before taking other step inside", Cali said blocking my way.

"What?", I asked.

"You, I, I don't know", she whimped like a child with a sigh.

What's wrong with her now?

"Cali what happened?", I asked worriedly.

"Nothing, Come in", she said shaking her head but I heard her muttering something.

As soon as I entered, I was hit by the darkness. All lights were off.

"Cali, did you have power cut?", I asked but no response.

"Cali, are you here?", I asked again still no response.

I was about to shout out her name again when automatically lights were on and with a loud noise of Party poppers I heard a chorus saying, "SURPRISE".

And there standing everyone with a bright smile on their faces, Rian, Nial, Jason, Ellie, Ashley, Mike, Cali and Max. All well dresses and now I'm cursing the time, I didn't changed my baggy dress. It was a freaking party at Cali's house.

Way to ruin my image in front of Rian!!
