Nicole's P.O.V.

"How could you do that?", Rian asked.

"I never thought you'd betray me like this", Nial said.

"I know", I mumbled inside.

"Why did you do this kate?", Max asked.

"For god sake, shutup shutup. You wanna know why I did this, ain't you?", She said angrily looking at all of us and the boys nodded.

"It's all because of you, Mr. Rian Louis", she said addressing her finger at him.

"What rubbish are you talking about?", Rian asked.

"Yeah, I'm saying the truth. You are the sole reason of how everyone's life today. I did it because I love you, but you never loved me back. It's all because you", she said and then loose consciousness and we all stood aimlessly around a drunk Kate who just passed away.

"Did you know anything?", Max eyed me.

"Yeah", I said with my eyes answering everyone's unsaid questions.

Let me start from the starting;-

3 hours ago;-

"So, any idea what to do?", Max asked sipping his drink.

"Nope", I replied observing Kate's beautiful house. Me and Max came together at Kate's party just to ensure her that Max is all crazy for me whilst Cali skipped the party because she had to attend family dinner. Austin and Ellie too decided to stay away from Kate's party. What can I say? Their wish!!

We came half an hour before, and I've still no idea of how to grab truth from Kate. I mean, I've no freaking clue of anything and I call myself as a helper of Nial. I'm actually good for nothing, way to be go ruin my self made detective image.

"There you're", Rian came with a smile on his face.

"Hey", Me and Max said in unison. Rian came and hugged both of us. I felt warmth in his embrace and my heart swell when he hugged me with so much concern.

I'm gone!

"So, enjoying the party?", Rian asked looking at me.

"Kind of", I said and he just stare at me with an amused look making my cheeks heat up.

"Wanna dance?", He asked.

"Sure", I said and leaving Max, me and Rian moved to the dance floor.

"You're looking pretty", Rian said placing a hand over my waist whilst with his other holding my hand.

"Thanks", I replied with a grin.

I've danced with him before also, but I never felt this way before. But whatever happened with Nial, I'm kinda afraid to go to back to relationship kind things. I can't stand another one sided love or liking. I need clear indications this time and I'll try to control my feelings this time.

I can try atleast!!

We're dancing and chatting only when Kate came looking all beautiful and gorgeous and said, "Mind if I steal your partner for dance?", She asked me.

"No problem", I replied.

Go to hell, my mind said.

Rian looked at me one last time and then got busy dancing with Kate. I came back all jealous and unhappy and sat on one of the vacant seat.

"Someone looking amazing", I heard Nial's voice.

I turned and saw him looking damn handsome. After all he was my first crush ever, I'm never gonna replace his place ever.

"You too looking good either", I said and he joined me.

"I was about to call you asking about you but lucky me that I found you", Nial said and I smiled.

He glanced at Kate's direction and I too followed his path. She's looking so happy with Rian. She was laughing and was falling on his shoulder more than required.

Oh, stop being a jealous freak!! My mind said.

Hey, I'm not jealous. There's something, I'm missing, I said.

"Have a drink", Nial said bringing me out of trance.

"I don't drink", I replied.

"You know what-", Nial was saying something but only then we heard loud noise of glasses being trashed on the ground.

Me and Nial shared a look and then ran towards the source of noise. The crowd was gathered already. Kate and Rian were also there.

I found a boy all wasted was holding a girl's hand. He was from our college only, I had seen him but don't know his name.

"You betrayed me, why did you leave me? I've loved you so much", he was slurring.

"Leave me", the girl shouted.

"Please, come back in my life. I love you", he said and then fall down on the ground. His friends helped him to carry to the room upstairs but he kept on mumbling that he loved her.

"Okie, guys. Show over, please continue with the party", Kate announced and everything was back to normal.

"What a wasted man!!", Max said sitting with us along with Mike with drinks in their hands. Kate and Rian too get a seat with us.

"I know right. He was making fool of himself", I said.

"I don't know why people do this? I mean creating a scene over a heart break. Have some self respect buddy", Mike commented.

"He was saying the truth", Rian said out of blue.

"Excuse me", I said.

"Yeah, he truly loved that girl. A drunk person never lie Nicole", Rian said.

And here comes an idea!! Aww, Thank you Rian.

Rian, Mike and Max left me and Kate alone for sometime to catchup with the college guys.

"So, have a drink", I said being super friendly to kate.

"No, I don't drink now. I've lost so much in my life that I don't want to touch this poison again", she said.

"Hey, it's part of life bae. You're just being a victim of it like others. Give your life a chance at least. I know what happened with you in past and trust me, I feel sorry for you but now you've got your friends back so, no stepping back. C'mon have a drink", I said.

Oh my god!! Look at you, Miss. Perfectionist lier, my mind said.

I've to do this, I need to know truth!! I replied.

"I know you're right but-", she paused after a but, surely not being satisfied with me.

"Fine, one drink won't harm you kate", I again said and poured vodka down her throat.

She shook her head strongly and then coughed a bit.

"Gosh, that thing burns", Kate said.

"Well, because you've been far from this thing for a long time. Your body would take time to adapt", I said and offered her wine this time. She took it happily.

Oh, keep on drinking as much as you can Kate!!

"So, I heard you're great friend of Nial?", She asked.

"Yes, he's special to me", I said truly.

"And what about Max?", She asked.

"Pardon", I responded trying to act all innocent.

"I mean how good friends are you and Max?", She said reforming her question.

Time to play!!

"He's just a normal friend, a classmate", I said in a bored tone noticing her expressions which were blank.

"Nial is lucky to have a friend like you", she said and I nodded. But, I didn't miss that how from the start of our conversation, she kept looking now and then at Rian.

Stop staring at him you wanton girl!! My inner self yelled.

"Do you like him?", I asked and she choked in her drink.

"Umm, who? I like who?", She asked clearing her throat.

"Nial?", I asked.

"What? No way. He's just a friend", she said chuckling. Well, three glasses of wine down. She must be tipsy by now.

"Oh", I said unsure of what to say.

"Hey, why aren't you drinking?", Kate asked taking one of the vodka shot.

"I'm not feeling to drink. It's your day today, you party", I said enthusiastically and she chukled.

"You know what, last time I drinked, everything went wrong", she said.

"What happened last time?", I asked.

But she didn't reply and just stared in front of her where Rian was talking to a girl all happily and that girl too was trying every way to flirt with him. Her hands were on his shoulder. I rolled my eyes at the stupid tricks these girls use to get a boy. Have some self dignity!!

"You okay?", I asked Kate because I could sense she wasn't happy to see Rian talking to that girl.

"Gimme another drink", she said gritting her teeth.

I quickly passed her a vodka and she drank it in one go. After giving one last look at Rian she left the seat and with stumbling steps started walking towards the gate. I ran and followed her.

I supported her before she kissed her face on the ground and helped her sit on one of the empty benches outside. She started crying silently with tears falling from her eyes.

"Hey, hey. What happened? Why are you crying?", I asked worriedly.

"He never loved me, he never saw me the way he looked at her", she said in a blurred voice.

"Who? Who he Kate?", I pressurised.

"Rian,.. Rian. I love him", she said looking at me.

"What? How can it happen?", I asked. This girl is spinning my head without drinking. Isn't she attracted towards Nial?

She gave away a sarcastic laugh and said, "Yes, I love him always. I had always loved him only and no one else. I even dated Austin to make him jealous but he started falling for Tina, that bitch". She started ranting.

This is too much to absorb!!

"Why didn't you tell him about your feelings then?", I asked curiosity at its peak.

"Because I was dating Austin at that time and I wasn't ready to lose him. He was really nice to me, he actually loved me and I didn't want to hurt him. I'm a pathetic person, I know but I couldn't love him ever. I always loved Rian", she said with guilt in her voice.

I felt sad for Austin again, though. His love was also one sided. Looks like, I'm not alone a one sided lover. There are too many people on the ship, I'm sailing. We all were paring ourselves with Unrequited love and it hurts!!

"But then I did the most worst sin ever, a person can do. I betrayed everyone, I took advantage of everyone specially Nial", she again spoke and I became alert once again.

"Care to enlighten", I spoke.

"I.. I spiked the drinks that night Nicole", she said looking at me with watery eyes.

"What?", I almost half yelled.

"I were jealous when I saw Rian dancing with Tina that night. So, I spiked his drink but things went wrong and Nial got that spiked drink. I were too much drunk that night and weren't in my right condition also, but I helped Nial to reach to a room and dozed off with him in same room on same bed", she said.

"You mean you guys didn't do anything?", I asked.

"No, no, and never ever I can sleep with Nail. I can't give anyone Rian's place ever. I love him so so much. But after that night, everybody thought wrong and I took it as a clue to stay away from Austin saying that I'm guilty for whatever happened. I even say him that I'm dating Nial", she said sobbing.

Oh, poor Austin!!

"You did wrong you know that", I said feeling mixed emotions for Kate. She loved someone and that love made her do bad things, she's not bad either. I can't be angry from her.

"I know but I am crazy for him. I want him anyhow, can't you see that?", She started shouting all of a sudden.

Alcohol is making her do this!! My mind reminded me.

"Yes, I did this and I were the one behind Rian's breakup. I were the one behind Nial hating Austin. I would do anything and everything to get him", she yelled again getting up from the seat.

"What the heck is going on?", We heard a familiar voice behind us.

Me and Kate turned and we saw boys standing there with serious expressions on their faces. I glanced at Kate's face which had turned pale.

Present time;

"This is the whole story..", I finished narrating them everything. We're here outside her house, after dropping a passed out Kate in her bedroom.

"I can't believe this, she did this to me. I had supported her so much and she payed me like this", Nial said sitting on the bench feeling betrayed.

"She had broken everyone's trust. I can't believe she would stoop so low. She was the only one because of whom, I'm away from my love", Rian said angrily and my heart clenched.

"Ellie hated me all these years only because of her. I always blamed myself for all this, she used me", Nial was still in schok.

Wow, just look at them. Two important people of my life are sitting here all sad and disappointed and thinking about love of their lives and I'm none of them.

They both had someone special in their heart with whom they want to spend their rest of the lives and I'm standing here all alone with empty heart because the way I felt for these two people were just from my side. None of the two are ready to hold my hand, because they've someone special in their heart and I'm friend zoned by them.

I'm all alone in my incomplete love story!!
