Nicole's P.O.V.

One week!! Like seriously, it has been one week that Lone Boy had written me any letter or responded to my any letters. I waited for two days but the letters were absent and there were no new letter from him.

I wrote three letters to him asking about, "How is he?", "Had I said anything wrong which hurted him?", "I'm sorry if he got hurt because of the stupid sketch made by me".

Yes, I Nicole Anderson put my ego aside and said sorry to a stranger boy aka my pen friend who is not responding to me at all. That's it, I can't wait more now, he's giving me headache. If he don't want to talk to me then he could've just said that instead of showing me cold shoulder.

Today also, I went to library and found that my letters were absent. He's doing this only, he took away my letters but didn't reply me. I'm not a fool!!

Cursing him, I went to my arts class taking out my sketchbook. I found Nial on the way.

"Hey, Cole. Good morning", he said.

I don't have good morning at all, thanks to Lone boy.

"Morning Nial. How's you", I asked as we're walking towards the class together.

"Just good", he replied and I nodded.

"Have you made the sketches Miss.
Holes gave as assignment?", He asked.

"Damn it!!", I cursed under my breath.

"What happened?", He asked.

"Shit man, I almost forgot Nial. I don't know how it skipped my mind", I replied and now we're in class sitting together on same seat.

"It's okay. You're her favourite student, she won't say anything to you", Nial consoled me.

How could I forgot such thing? I never skipp my any assignments given my Miss. Holes but because Julian was not there, I guess my routine was disturbed.

"I'm leaving", I replied.

"What? Why?", He asked.

"No, I can't see disappointment in Miss. Holes eyes for me. I gotta go", I said and left the class in rush.

I saw Rian and Austin coming towards the class only. Rian waved a hand towards me but I only passed a smile and came directly out of the college.

Cali and me lately have spent a lot of time together this last one week. I've told her finally about Lone Boy, yes  I break the rule but she's my best friend. She's super excited to meet my pen friend and asked me to tell her every detail about him.

I showed her my sketch and she has started pairing me with Lone Boy, she's crazy girl. But, we still made a good pair. Yesterday, Max took her for a weekend trip to his farmhouse and she'll be back by day after tomorrow.

I moved to back of the college with a mental note of completing my assignment right now only. Once I was near the tree, I spreaded biscuits and sat along with the tree. I opened my bag pack when something caught my attention.

A letter placed safely under the stone. Now who it can be? Should I read it? But what if it belongs to someone else!!

I stretched my hand and removed the stone and picked up the letter. It was dirty, as if it was there for mang days. I patted the dirt over the page and then opened the letter.

It says,.

"You broke the rule Happy Girl. I asked you not to tell anyone about it but you did. You broke my trust. From now you won't see me ever!!"

Lone boy.

Guilt and repentance consumed me from top to bottom. But how did he knew that I shared this secret with Cali? I asked Cali to keep her mouth shut, did she told anyone?

Oh Cali, you're so dead.

I picked out my mobile and dialled Cali's number. The phone rang but she didn't picked it up, so I kept dialing again and again. I was very very angry at this brainless girl.

After some six rings, the phone was answered.

"What's you problem Nicole? Don't you understand-", Max picked up the call but I didn't let him complete and cuts him in between.

"Just shut up and give the phone to Cali, right now", I replied stubbornly.

"She's sleeping", he said.

"Then wake her up", I said sternly.

"I'm not going to do that", he said. He's such a typical bad boy!!

"Look Max either you wake her up and give the call to her or else I'll make sure that she stop talking to you once you'll be back after your sweet trip", I said boldly. As I know Cali would choose me only.

"Yeah, I'm scared", he chuckled.

"Wanna try me", I challenged him.

"You're such a headache. Wait", he huffed and I heard him cooing Cali to get up. I just rolled my eyes and tapped my legs on the ground impatiently.

"Hello", I heard Cali's lazy voice.

"Why did you break the promise?", I asked.

"Pardon", she said now sounding a bit awake.

"Whom did you tell about Lone boy? and I need answer right now", I asked.

I heard her asking Max to leave her alone for sometime.

"Cole what happened?", She asked.

"This ain't the answer to my question Cali", I replied.

She sighed and said, "I.. I'm sorry Cole but I spilled it in front of As.. Ashley".

"What? How could you? You said everything to that attention seeker good for nothing stupid girl. But why?", I whined in frustration.

"I'm sorry Cole. It all goes through the flow, I didn't meant to tell it but she said something so I couldn't keep my mouth shut", she said with a low voice.

"What did she said that it made you speak that thing which was not meant to be told?", I asked further.

"She said that you're a useless girl and you don't deserve to be in our group because you don't have any class and you look odd amongst hot and dashing boys and she said more bad about you also", Cali said and I make a mental note to punch that Ashley's face with my own hands.

"And what did you said in response?", I asked trying my best not to freak at her.

"I.. I couldn't take it and.. and", she was hesitant.

"We don't have whole day Cali, please be fast", I replied pacing back and forth.

"I said that you've a secret admirer and he loves you madly and will propose you soon", she said in one go making me choke in the air.

"What the-.. Holy shit Cali!! Why did you said that? You know I don't care for whatever that idiot girl say, she's no one to me", I replied.

"But you're too much for me so I said so", she said and I could sense her head is bow down. We're best friends afterall.

"Gosh, girl. You know what I don't even know that boy and now he's saying that I had broken his trust. I'm feeling so bad Cali. Why did you do that? You've ruined everything", I said kicking small pebbles on the ground.

"Oh!!", She replied, "Then it would be a problem for us".

"Why? What problem?", I asked.

"First promise me that you won't kill me", she said.

"Well depending on your nexr few words, I'll make sure how to kill you because you're so gonna be dead babe", I replied.

She sighed and said, "I've challenged Ashley that..". She paused and I got an idea that whatever she gonna say next would be worse.

"That?", I repeated.

"We've this ball dance in our college, remember next week and I've taken the challenge that you'll come there with your secret lover whose name is Lone boy", she finished and I found myself hitting my head with tree.

"Why don't you give me some poison Cali? You know what thankyou so much for ruining my life!! Go and die somewhere", I said and cut the call without waiting for her reply.

She called me back but I cut it and switched off my mobile. I know she must be crying but I'm really not in a mood to talk. Ashley Watson, I'm coming, you've messed with a wrong girl.

I took my bag pack and moved towards the college and moved directly to the canteen as it was our lunch break. I roamed my eyes all over and saw Ashley sitting with Austin, Rian, Ellie and Jason. Nial was sitting at a few tables distance with some boys.

Time to teach Ashley a lesson!!

I moved towards the group and once they notice me, they all passed me a smile in their own way while Ashley was smirking. I took a seat next to Jason.

"So, miss popular is here guys!!", Ashley said whilst I hold my coffee mug.

"Please,Cole is anything but popular", Jason chuckled.

Remind me to kill him after Cali!!

"Oh, seems you're also unaware that how lovable Anderson is!! Lemme inform you then", Ashley said to Jason but her eyes were not leaving me whilst and the smirk on her lips increased.

"Enlighten please", Jason said.

Ashley got up and adjusted her white crop top and skirt and then stand on the table. Everyone's eyes were on us.

Attention seeker!!

"Hello friends, can I have your attention please?", she said and I tightened my grip on my coffee mug.

"Thank you. So, I hope you all know Nicole Anderson", she said waving her hands at me.

"Yea she's the girl who stays with Cali always", I heard someone saying but didn't dare to look up from my coffee mug because if I look at this girl's face, I might punch her right now.

"Oh, right. Her name is Nicole Anderson and you know what Anderson has a secret admirer whose name is Lone boy", she said and I heard hooting all around me.

"But she doesn't know much about him, sad right. He loves her a lot but had not shown his face to Anderson, Poor Nicole", Ashely spoke and all students go aww and all.

Why are they even bothered with my life? Hadn't they heard about 'Mind your own business' term!!

"But now the wait is over. Nicole is going to meet that secret admirer soon and will join her in the nexr week's ball dance and we'll be get to know whose the lucky guy amongst us", she finished her sentence and everyone clapped.

I looked up and saw Ellie looking at me with disappointment, Jaosn was smirking as if he has got an oscar and Rian and Austin were looking each other with blank faces. I diverted my gaze to Nial who was looking at me only, I couldn't sense his emotions from this distance.

Ashley came back to her original position and said, "So, Nicole won't you introduce your secret admirer to us?". Her smirk not leaving her face for any second.

I got up and looked at her and forced a smile on my face and said, "Thank you so much for making me feel so special Watson, let me return a favour".

"Sure", she smirked and I hold her hand and take her to the middle of the canteen.

"Hey guys, because Ashley had done such a great gesture for me, I wanted to return the favour", I said and looked at her. She was looking at me and then everyone around us who were watching us only.

"I wanted to give you something", I said.

"What?", She said in her most practiced accent.

"This", I said and poured my coffee mug over her head spoiling her 'oh so perfect hairs' and my whole coffee flow from her head ruining her hairs to her white top.

Whole canteen brusted out in laughter and whistling started.

"What the -", she shouted but I stopped her in between.

"This was to teach you a lesson that never dare to stick your nose in others business and stay away from my life", I said and handed her my empty coffee mug.

I turned and without looking at anyone, I took my bag and left the canteen and college also.. I wanted to go home right now.

Now, how am I going to arrange a secret admirer for me? How am I going to fix things between me and Lone boy? He trusted me and I hurted him.

Gosh, I'm screwed!!!
