(Set between The Glass Apple and The Beginning of the End.)

Elsa's POV

I sat in my bedroom located in my grandfather's manor, silently reading. I was interrupted by a soft knock on my bedroom door.

"Elsa?" Grandfather's kind voice said, "Peter is here. He would like to speak to you."

A smile lit up my face as I slammed my book shut, not even bothering to fold the corner or place a bookmark inside. I set it down on the nightstand beside my bed. I jumped up from my seat on the bed and quickly dashed to the door. When I opened it, Grandfather was still standing on the other side. He made a comment on how fast I responded, and I nodded in agreement, not really paying any attention before I politely pushed past him and raced through the manor to the front entrance.

It had only been a few weeks since I made the decision to accompany Peter and his siblings to England, a country in their world, called Earth. When we arrived, I lived with my grandfather. The Pevensies, as well as Eustace, Jill, and Miss Polly Plummer, would occasionally come to visit. Peter would come at least once every week. Lucy considered us an official 'couple'.

I stepped off the last stair before the front entrance and turned the corner to pass into said room, greeted by the familiar face of the man I cared about so much.

"Peter," I smiled, approaching him.

Peter smiled as well. "Elsa." When I reached him, he wrapped his arms around me. I always felt so safe when he was holding me. He saved me, after all, no matter how indirectly it may have been. He saved me from my mother, from my father, from the horrific memories of my childhood, and from the nightmares in which my parents would haunt me every night.

I broke away from the hug just slightly, in order to look up at him. "Back so soon?" I asked, "You were just here yesterday."

"Yeah," he answered, "I wanted to ask you something."

"Go ahead."

"Can I take you out on a date?"

A date? "What's a date?" I queried. Peter grinned at the puzzled look on my face.

"Going on a date is something couples do together to get to know a the other better and to spend tome with each other," he explained. I nodded in acknowledgement.

"Okay, then," I giggled, "I would love to go on a date with you, Peter Pevensie."

Peter took me to a park within close proximity of Finchley. I gazed in awe at the beauty of it all; children ran around, playing tag and hide-and-seek, adults sat on benches, conversing as they kept an eye on the children, and various trees and other plants grew all across the park. We strolled around for hours, carrying on conversations.

"One time," he started, "Oreius was training Edmund and I to fight on horseback. At first, he said we were doing well, but then, we both lunged our swords at each other simultaneously. Our horses were too far apart, and we both fell forward." Peter began to laugh, and I joined in. "The two of us were sore for a week, at least," he managed between chuckles.

We suddenly found ourselves underneath a large tree, which I'd learned was called a willow. It stood tall in the dead center of the park, and I was mesmerized by it's beauty.

"This is amazing," I mentioned, "I've never seen a tree like this before. There aren't any willow trees in Narnia, as far as I remember."

He followed my gaze upon the tree. "There are some in Archenland, if I remember correctly."

"I've never been to Archenland."

Peter turned to look me in the eyes. "Well, then I suppose the next time we find ourselves in Narnia, I'll have to show you around."

"I'll be counting on it," I replied in a singsong voice.

Then there was silence, but not in a bad way. Peter and I merely stared into each others' eyes, not needing anything more in that moment. For an instant, it seemed as if time had stopped.

"Elsa," Peter whispered, still looking intently into my eyes, as I did the same, "It might be a little odd for me to say this so soon, but-"

"I love you," I murmured, cutting him off and finishing his sentence.

"I love you," he echoed.

The next thing I knew, we were both leaning in, and our lips connected. I felt electricity run through my veins, fueling my adrenaline and nearly leaving me breathless. Peter's arms snaked around my waist, and I wrapped mine around his neck. It was definitely much different than our real first kiss, when we had both thought I was dying.

I didn't know how long the kiss actually lasted, but it hadn't felt long enough. We both pulled away, breathless, once again staring into each other's eyes for what seemed like eternity.

"So this is what real love feels like," I murmured.

He smiled ever so slightly. "I'm glad I could be the first to show you."

Well, I decided to give you an example one-shot of Pelsa's first date. I hope you enjoyed! In case you didn't catch it at the beginning, this will be the second story part dedicated to the 1st place winner. I can't wait to see your one-shots!
