Din Djarin-Help
An old acquaintance comes to your aid when you're caught smuggling in weapons.
After Din comes to your aid, he helps you escape and stuff happens.
Some swearing and innuendo and threats of violence.
............
You stand stock still, scarcely daring to breathe as several imperial officer's check your shipment. You know damn well what you have hidden among the usual things.
Weapons. Blasters and explosives and even a few light sabers that you were able to get your hands on. Light sabers weren't easy to come by.
They were the weapons of choice among the...Jedi. You'd come across a few in your time. At least they boasted that they had the title. As if you cared.
You were a smuggler, plain and simple. Sure,it was dangerous. But it was a hell of a lot of fun at times, too. You enjoyed the idea of traveling the vast galaxy, in search of forbidden items and pawning them off to whomever was willing to give you the highest price of credits.
Credits were damn valuable. If you didn't have credits, you were more or less screwed. You tapped your foot with impatience and nervousness. You really wish these fool's would hurry the hell up. You don't have all damn day.
"All right. You're clear. Get outta here." The imperial officer gives you a superior look but you just stand your ground. You've dealt with far worse than these idiots because.
Just as you begin gathering up your shipment, another officer comes barreling towards you, a look of defiance and satisfaction on his ugly mug.
"Hold it!" He shouts. You frown. How would he have known another? He wasn't anywhere near you.
"There's weapons in this shipments!" The guy starts tearing into the packages and you try and stop him.
"How the hell would you know?" You demand. "You have the gift?" The gift, of course, is being able to wheedle The Force.
The imperial officer snares at you, pushing you away and you stumbled, landing on your back side. The officer who was searching through the shipment, leans over, roughly grabbing you by the arm.
You spit in his face and he cries out in surprise. You smirk.
"Wipe that stupid smirk off your face! You won't be so cocky after we confiscate your weapons and lock you away!"
"There you are!" A totally unfamiliar voice rings out. Everyone's turns. A man with a mop of brown hair and brown eyes is hurrying towards you.
He stops and you can see his face clearly. He looks vaguely family. Then it hits you: Din Djarin. He's a...Mandalorian.
You frown. This particular Mandalorian never removed his helmet. Where's his helmet? Do these goons trying to drag you off know that this guy is a Mandalorian?
"What do you want?"
"This is my partner. We got separated from each other a few days ago. I've been worried about her. Thanks for finding her." Din takes your arm, but the imperial officer isn't about to just let you walk away.
"Did you know that your partner was trying to smuggle in illegal weapons?"
Din feigns shock. You smirk. You never realized what a card this guy was.
"You must be mistaken. My partner would never smuggle in illegal weapons." Suddenly, Din has his blaster. He's firing amiss on purpose, trying to cause chaos and confusion.
It works. Everyone's around you is screaming and running in terror. You make a grab for your shipment and Din helps you.
He motions for you to follow him. All the imperial officers are running around, trying to restore order.
"Hey! You two! Get back here!"
"Just stick with me and we'll get out of here in one piece," Din tells you as you dodge frantic people and creatures and droids.
"Where's your helmet? I thought it was against the creed to remove it in front of others."
"That's a story for another day. Come on! My ship is just around here." You hurry to keep up with Din. He reaches a piece of scrap metal that he says is a ship.
Oh well. You're in no position to judge. You need to get out of here. Pronto.
Din opens up his ship and you race inside, setting the shipment down. Din sets down what he'd grabbed and hurries to the cockpits. You follow him.
You hear faint sounds of shouting and some blaster noises. Crap. These people really refuse to give up. You plop down into a seat, buckling yourself in, while Din fiddles with various buttons and instruments to get this piece of scrap metal up into the atmosphere.
"You gonna make it there's, Mando?" You huff, trying to catch your breath.
"We'll be out of here in...three, two, one!" The ship slowly moves upwards and gradually picks up speed as Din expertly guides his ship farther and farther away from those idiots.
You breathe easier as soon as he's well up into space.
"Thanks, by the way, for stepping in back there and saving my sorry ass."
Din chuckles. You watch him. He's a good looking guy. Too bad he chooses to hide it behind that metal helmet of his. But hey, that's his choice.
"No problem. Besides, I love messing with those idiots." You chuckle.
"Hell yeah."
..........
You end up falling asleep in your seat. You sleep right through the night. You didn't realize how tired you were.
Din finally wakes you the next morning, asking if you're hungry or would like to get cleaned up.
"I'll eat in a minute," you grunt. Man, your entire body has practiced molded to the damn seat and you gotta pee.
Din takes you to the refresher and you pee and then at least wash your hands and wah your dirty face.
You go out and Din has some food ready. You quickly gobble it down, your stomach growling, even as you're eating.
You realize, too, that Din doesn't have the helmet on. And...he's staring at you.
"Something wrong?"
"No. I just...remembered who you really were. An old acquaintance. You jumped in to assist me, months ago. I had the...kid."
"Oh! Right. Did..did something happen to him?"
"He was taken from me." Poor Din. He looks pissed and sad at the same time. You set your dish aside, moving to Din, touching his face and lips.
You think he'll push you away. He doesn't. Instead, he gathers you in his arms and...gently kisses you. You're startled at first, but then, you kiss him back.
It gets heated. You cling to Din, suddenly wanting to help him again. If you can.
"Can I come help you get him back, Din?" You ask, stroking his hair. Din gives you a small smile.
"You'd really do that?"
"Hell yeah I would! I love kicking those bad guys asses." Din chuckles again.
He stands, stretching out his hand to you. You take it.
"Care to join me in the refresher for a shower?" You lean in, capturing Din's lips with your own.
"Sounds perfect, Mando."
