Victoria opened her apartment door and walked in. She reached for the light switch and flipped it on, but the room remained dark. She closed the door and started walking further in the room.

"Casey, you here?" She got no reply. "Casey?" she said as she sat her bag down on the couch. "Do you know what's going on with the lights?" Still no reply.

She continued to the bedroom, hoping she would find her roommate. She tried the light switch in the bedroom, but it wouldn't work either.

"Casey, this isn't funny. Where are you?"

She went over to her nightstand and pulled a flashlight out of the drawer. She shined the light around the room and saw that everything was the same as when she left, and then walked back out to the living room.

"Casey, I know you're in here somewhere. You said you didn't have anything going on tonight, so come out."

She made her way into the kitchen. She went over to the counter to see if Casey had left a note to tell her that plans had changed, but she didn't see a note.

Just then, she heard a loud noise come from the direction of the living room. "Casey, is that you?" She went to investigate.

She found that the bookcase that was next to the door had fallen on its side, blocking the door. She used the light to quickly scan the room, and finally found Casey standing in the corner just staring at her.

Victoria yelped in fear, clutching her chest. "Dang it, Casey, you scared me." She walked closer to her roommate. "What's going on? Why won't the lights turn on?" Casey remained silent. "Hey, I'm talking to you!" she said getting angry. Casey still didn't say a word.

Victoria huffed and spun around to head toward the door, but before she could take a step, Casey raised a wooden chair leg and smacked Victoria in the back of the head. Victoria crashed to the floor with a loud thud.

~~~
Victoria slowly opened her eyes and tried to raise her hand to rub the back of her sore head, but found that she couldn't. She became fully awake and realized that she was now sitting in one of the their kitchen chairs, her hands tied in the back and her legs tied to the legs of the chair. "Mhmph," she tried shouting, but the gag in her mouth prevented any words from coming out.
A sound came from beside her, and Victoria turned her head. She saw Casey standing at a small table with her back turned toward her. She then looked around the room and realized that they were in the basement of the apartment complex.
"I warned you."
Victoria quickly turned her head back to Casey and saw her now facing her with something in her hand. She stared at the object, eyes wide with fear, then shot her eyes up toward Casey's face.
Casey smiled a sinister smile and started walking toward Victoria. "What's wrong, Victoria? You look scared."
Victoria started struggling against her bonds, but froze when Casey put something on her shoulder. She glanced over at the object and saw an old rusted shard of metal. She glanced up at Casey, but no longer saw the timid, shy girl she roomed with; instead she saw the face of a psychotic killer.
"I asked you so many times to change how you acted, but you just ignored me like I wasn't even there." Casey lifted the piece of metal off Victoria's shoulder and walked around so that she was behind her.
Victoria tried to follow her with her head, but Casey stopped directly behind her. She could feel Casey leaning forward, Casey's breath tickling her ear, the metal shard pushing up against her neck.
"You should've listened to me," Casey whispered. She stood back up, the metal shard slicing through Victoria's skin. Victoria let out a scream, but the gag prevented the scream from being too loud. Casey just let out a menacing laugh.
Tears were now flowing down Victoria's face. She pulled on her bonds again, hoping that they would loosen enough so she could get free.
"I wouldn't bother," Casey said as she walked back over to the table. "I've learned how to tie a very effective knot. The ropes aren't budging." She sat the metal shard down on the table and picked up another object and held it up to the light to examine it better.
Victoria watched in utter fear as Casey ran her thumb over the edge of the blade of a short knife. She tried to shout out again, but again the gag prevented any words from forming.
Casey walked back over to Victoria and knelt down in front of her. "Don't worry. I'll make it very painful."
Victoria tried to push her body away as Casey brought the knife closer to her arm, but she couldn't. She squeezed her eyes shut and let out a muffled scream as the blade bit into her arm. She could feel the warm blood start to gush out as the knife continued to slide down her arm.
"Now that's a sound I've been waiting to hear for a long time."
Victoria looked up at Casey with wide eyes. Casey leaned in closer and brought the knife closer to her face. Victoria tried to turn her head, but Casey grabbed her chin and jerked it back. Victoria had no choice but to look into Casey's dark eyes.
"You know," Casey said as she ran the knife over Victoria's cheek gently, not wanting to mark the delicate skin just yet. "I've hated you since the day you moved in to my apartment. I took pity on you because you were a friend of my sister, but I realized that was a mistake."
The tip of the knife was now in the corner of Victoria's mouth, and Casey smiled. She then quickly moved the knife up toward Victoria's ear, leaving a long, deep cut. "Now that's a much better look for you, Victoria," Casey said. She then did the same thing to the other side of her face making it look like Victoria was smiling ear to ear.
"I've always admired the Joker. The way he thought. The way he played with his victims." She then got close to Victoria's ear again, placing one hand on Victoria's chest for balance. "I've always wanted to be like him," she whispered. She laughed as she backed up again. "What do you think? Do you think I'm doing it right?" She laughed even harder.
The tears coming from Victoria's eyes were now stinging the cuts on her cheeks. She tried again to break the bonds holding her wrists, but it was no use. She tried to speak up again, trying to beg her to stop.
"What?" Casey asked as she cupped her hand over her ear. "I can't hear you?"
Victoria closed her eyes to try to calm herself down and think, but they shot open again when she felt the knife rip through her shirt and bra. She screamed out again and started struggling.
"Wow, Vic, you're not as big as I thought you would be. What a shame."
What Casey did next Victoria never dreamed could happen. Casey was cutting around one of her breasts. Victoria screamed louder than she ever had before, and stared in horror when Casey pulled the breast from her body.
Casey looked at the inside of the breast then held it close to Victoria's face. "This is really interesting to look at, wouldn't you say?"
Victoria gaged.
Casey placed the breast on the floor, and brought the knife back up to Victoria's chest. "Let's decorate the rest of it, shall we?"
Victoria shook her head, but Casey ignored her and started carving little designs into the unmarked flesh. She carved stars and moons, faces, rockets, cars, anything she could think of, and she added one final touch before she lowered the knife. Casey stepped back and admired her work. "There. You look a lot more beautiful now."
Victoria sat there, tears still streaming down her face. She looked down and her breath hitched as she saw the damage that had been down to her body. She could also see the pool of blood that was forming under her. She knew if she didn't get out of there soon, she would die from loss of blood.
When she heard Casey move, Victoria raised her head and followed her back to the table. She watched as she packed up the tools into a small bag. The severed breast was placed into a plastic bag and stored next to the now very bloody knife. She then turned and faced Victoria once again. "Well, this is the most fun I've had with you since you got here, but I got to go if I don't want to be caught. Toodles." She then headed to the stairs.
Victoria was left all alone.
