*Ezra POV*

Time flew fast after seeing Aiden in that restaurant and it was already weekend. Today I have plans with Michael.

Since that day we have been cuddling at my place. I felt grateful. He knew how hard it is for me to go to work nowadays. He didn't even stop once asking about my mood. To spoil me more he would bring my favorite food and dessert. I would pour my feelings out to him and he would just listen and caress me in his arms.

Thankfully, I didn't have to face Aiden so much. I knew how to be professional and heck I wouldn't lose my job and dream for some cheater.

I finished getting ready by the time the doorbell rang. Opening the door I was engulfed in a big bear hug.

"Haven't you been hugging me a lot lately?", I said playfully.

"Can't help your squishy. I mean your body fat is at least of some use you know."

Did he just call me fat indirectly? He watched me and sensed something was coming his way. Before he could even react I kicked his ass for real, making him tumble down on the floor. This time it was me who was laughing like a gorilla. He was busy massaging his ass. "Fuck shit. This hurts like hell."

I couldn't help but click photos of him. This was too funny. I was busy laughing that I didn't even see him pulling me down. He hovered over me with my hands above my head. "Hey, what the fuck? Leave me." I squirmed under him, trying to free myself.

"You really thought that you could kick me and get away with it, huh?" He said, his breath fanning over my face. I couldn't even mutter a word.

Just then Taysha entered the house with Suzy in her arms. They both were shocked. I could see Taysha's eyes enlarging. If I hadn't been in such a situation, I probably would have laughed at her priceless reaction. Her eyes were wide as if someone has forcefully taped it.

I pushed Michael off me. "It's not what it looks like."

Coming back to her senses, she replaced her shocked expression to a sly one. I growled at her. This definitely didn't look good. "You could have told me, Ez. I wouldn't have interfered. And you guys need to tone it down. I have a kid, stop behaving like bunnies."

I was shocked at her allegations. Heck, we weren't doing any such things. I was about to protest but Michael butted in, "I am sorry Taysha. Next time we will be a little discreet and try not to hop on each other."He winked and smacked my ass. This fucker just looks for a chance to embarrass me. "Anyways babe, c'mon we are getting late." He went out to wait for me in his car.

I was gonna leave with him when Taysha stopped me, "let me tell you one thing. Car sex is super sexy but make sure you don't tangle your leg in between the seats. We all know how fucking clumsy you are."

What is wrong with the people around me? I glared at a laughing Taysha, "why are you here though?"

"You forgot? I came here to pick Suzy's stuff. I did inform you."

Yes, she did. I was too busy with work and my emotional roller coaster. "Sorry, Tay. I was busy with the wedding."

"How is your wedding prep going on?"

"Hell. You wouldn't believe whose wedding it is?"

She waggled her eyebrows for me to continue. "Aiden."

"WHAT!!!!". I am not lying when I say I really had to block my ears. Suzy herself got scared to see her mother shouting like a monster. "You are giving me details. Why are you working for him? How can he marry so fast?"

I couldn't even keep up with her questions. "Can we have a rain check? I will share all details. Now I need to leave."

"Of course. And don't forget my advice plus protection." She smirked at me while I shook my head at her stupidity.

"Don't forget to lock the door when you leave Taysha."

"Yes Ma'am", she gave me a salute.

"Where are you taking me, Michael? We have been driving for more than an hour now. And please don't say, sit back and relax. This suspense is killing me", I said looking at him irritated.

He just kept a straight face.

Finally, the car stopped. I got out and was mesmerized by what was standing in front of us? A beautiful lake surrounded with trees on one side and daffodils on the other. The reflection of the evening sky in the water is just so soothing and peaceful. I turned towards him, "how did you find this place? I have never seen this".

"I have always loved nature and would find an excuse to flee away from the hustle and bustle of city life. I found this on one such quest of finding peace", he said looking towards the lake.

I never saw this side of him. And I am glad he showed me both, this place and him being a nature-lover. "Wow", I said looking at the sunset and it's reflection in the water.

We sat down. We both were admiring the view in front of us.

"You know it doesn't matter how many people you meet or how much you earn? The peace you feel here cannot be compared to that materialistic stuff."

I listened to him carefully. He was right. I was so busy with my job and life that I didn't even realize how beautiful the world is? Just so mesmerizing and peaceful.

"You are right. How simple it looks here? Yet it's beauty is incomparable."

"When I was a kid my dad used to bring me to places like this. During my childhood, I didn't find them attractive at all. In fact, I used to get so bored that I would run away and my dad had to find me always."

"You were devil even as a kid." I made an annoying face to which he pushed me.

"Gosh! You are so violent", I exclaimed while he scoffed, "says the one who kicked my ass earlier."

"Says the one who called me fat earlier." I mimicked him.

Right when he was gonna argue, I cut him off by pointing at the cake shop.

"Mikey, there is a cake shop there." I squealed like a kid and ran towards it leaving him alone.

"I have never seen such a transition." He muttered under his breath before following me to the cake shop.

We just arrived back at my place after a fun-filled day. I couldn't believe I had so much fun after so long.

We entered inside and sat on the couch, all tired and worn out.

"My body is aching now", I complained while trying to stretch my arms and legs.

"I am tired from all those running. Wasn't expecting you to be a sprinter? Not when you were gobbling those cake like a monster".

I threw my cushion at him. "Hey, I used to come first in the races during my school days. And I love cakes."

He laughed and said, "tell me about it. Past few days I have been serving you cakes and all sweets."

I glared at him and huffed.

"Wanna drink?", he asked getting up.

"Now?", I mean I don't mind drinking right now.

"Let's give a nice closure to our fun day with a drink", he suggested.

"Cool with me."

Michael soon came back with beers in his hands.

"Cheers".

"Cheers".

"Fuck ever..ryone" I slurred over my words. "H..e..he is an asshole. I don't like cheaters."

We were here drunk as fuck talking about our exes, tom, and jerry.

"I wish I was jerry. I would have bullied him a lot." Michael laughed and high-fived me.

"I would do the same to Kia."

"Kia? Who is Kia?" I asked. Somewhat I didn't like knowing he has someone else except me.

"No one important. She just likes to mess with my mind."

"Do you want me to kick her just like how I did to you? haha. I am sure... I am sure she would land in another country." Michael laughed and hugged me.

I pushed him back and tried standing up. "You... Mr fuckboy! Mr. Addd-oonis. You know... I can dance better than you." He smiled at me. I didn't like the fact that he was smiling at me. I drank the rest of my beer, turned on the music, and started dancing.

I could feel Michael's heated gaze on me making me smirk. I kept dancing like a seductress. Moving my hips in slow motion. Making sure to give him a seductive smile.

Soon I felt two arms wrapped around my waist. He turned me around to face him. I wrapped my arms around his neck. We were slow dancing now.

"You are so cute and weird." I smiled.

"You are dumb and handsome."

"Handsome huh?" He had a sly smile on. "I can be more than that."

"You look beautiful when you blush."

I don't know what increased my heartbeat? The fact that he said I am beautiful or the way he is looking at me as if I am the only one he wants. He pulled me more close until my front is touching his hard torso.

I felt his green eyes dancing on my lips while I did the same. My breathing got heavier with each moment. Everything inside me was screaming to pull him down and let our lips meet but the rational side of me kept resisting. Kept reminding me this is wrong. We are just meant to cuddle. But for once I just wanted to feel his lips on mine.

All my rational thoughts went out the window when I closed the gap between us. Nothing. I just pressed my lips against his. We both were too shocked at this moment. I didn't know what he was thinking? I felt like an idiot to initiate the kiss. I pulled away and looked down in embarrassment.

But he lifted my chin and gave me a toe-curling kiss. I kissed him back with the same force.
